Briefly mention your long term goals and how your next 5 years will be the foundation stone for your long term objective. Please note that from your response to current job section and short term goals the direction has to be clearly visible. Further, pick up a couple of experiences that reflect your teamwork or leadership qualities. The last connection that you have to establish between your current job and your future is the MBA. Oxford SAID Essay 2: Which recent development, world event or book has most influenced your thinking and why? (2000 word maximum)

This is not a common question and doesn’t have a standard way to approach. How an event, development or a book influences you solely depends on your way of thinking. This question requires introspection and then relating your values & thinking which the school wants to understand with the event, book or development. The book, event or development should have brought some change in your thought process. Did it make you more optimistic, or did the event made you believe in hard work more than luck. Make sure that you don’t miss out discussing the why part of question. Don’t just narrate the event or what’s mentioned in the book.Since you are not sure who will be reading the essay and what his/her views are don’t pick up controversial developments or events like 9/11 World Trade center attack or something similar.
