Course Remediation:

Designed for the student who is not passing in a specific 9-week period within a content area.

Example: Jessica is struggling and fails the 2nd nine-week math class. Jessica’s teacher has assigned her the course for 7th grade 2nd nine-week math.

Remediation can occur for one or more nine week course(s).

Course Recovery:

Designed for students who have previously failed a specific subject, but promoted to the next grade level

Example: Tom is a current 7th grade student who failed 6th grade Math. This school year he will be recovering 6th grade Math using Odyssey.

Recovery occurs for an entire course (all quarters).
