• This is a protocol to evaluate current income & make plans to fulfill needs within available income or resources.
• To find ways to increase income & find new resources.
• To reserve amount for future.
Budget/ Budgeting for Country
• A protocol to evaluate current national income & make plans to fulfill national needs within available income or resources.
• To find ways to increase income (Taxes) & find new resources(modern industrial units).
• To increase national reserves(Currency & Gold) for future plans.
Pakistan Federal Govt. unveils PRs. 3420b Budget 2013-14, delivered
by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to government resources it is a friendly budget.
Effects of Budget 13-14 at Energy Sector
The fluctuation in global oil prices has meant that oil prices in the country are likely to go up by Rs4.99 per
liter effective August 1, 2013.
• Increase of Petroleum & oil prices directly or indirectly impact whole population.
Climbing Petroleum Products Prices
Petrol prices gone up by Rs2.73 per liter from the existing Rs101.77 to Rs104.5.
• Increase in Petrol price will impact the transportation fares.
• It also impact the production cost due to use of Generators because to Electricity Load Shedding.
• Ultimately increase in prices.

Kerosene oil, used for cooking purposes in remote areas where liquefied petroleum gas is not readily available, may witness a hike of Rs4.99 per liter, bringing its price up from Rs96.29 to Rs101.28.
• Poor population will suffer due to increase in price.

Diesel, price increase up to Rs3.95 per liter, meaning the price will go up from Rs92.17 to Rs96.12.
• Mainly used for industrial purposes, & increase the production cost.
• Transportation of goods becomes expensive.• End user will suffer.
Shortage of Electricity in Pakistan since last few years
• Total Production(All Sources): 16170MW• Total Consumption Requirement: 19000MW• Total Deficit: 2830MW
• Due to this deficit peoples suffering from Load Shedding
5000 acre land allocated for solar power project • The Punjab government has decided to allocate 5,000
acres of land for private solar power projects in Cholistan. The land will be allotted to the solar power sector investors at a nominal rate.
• 2,500 acres land is located in Maroot, district Bahawalnagar and the rest 2,500 acres land is located on Din Garh Road, tehsil Yazman district Bahawalpur
Thar Coal Project
• The nation is likely to hear a historic good news before June next year. Pakistan will start getting electricity from Thar Coal for the first time in the history.
• This electricity will be generated by using gas produced by Underground Coal Gasification (UCG).
