24 Hour Breakdown & Repair Service

Proserve Cranes operates a nationwide 24 hour emergency breakdown service to get you back up and running as quickly as possible. Our on call specialised engineers will respond swiftly to your breakdown and will endeavour to remedy the problem without delay. We carry a range of spare parts in our service vans and our engineers have the experience and knowledge to ensure you have minimal downtime. If it’s possible to fix the problem on the spot we will! In the event of a breakdown just call our main number 01 247 9199 – its monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All breakdown & repair work is recorded in our Online Equipment Database which is accessible to our customers 24/7.



Preventative Maintenance & Servicing

Proserve Cranes offers cost effective maintenance solutions to help you avoid un-scheduled downtime. We offer service contracts specifically tailored to each customer’s needs. Our service manager will visit your facility to evaluate your equipment and create a recommended maintenance schedule based on the working environment and equipment usage.

After the evaluation we will give you our service recommendations in writing along with a detailed quotation and a choice of one, two or three year fixed price contracts. We can schedule preventative maintenance and service work outside of normal working hours to help reduce downtime.

In addition we can incorporate your preventative maintenance and service plan with statutory inspection requirements (please see the next page regarding statutory inspection requirements).

All service work is recorded in our Online Equipment Database which is accessible to our customers 24/7.



Statutory Inspections and Certification

If you had an HSA or insurance audit tomorrow would your documentation be in order?

• Which items of lifting equipment should be regularly inspected?

• How often should equipment be inspected?

• Who is qualified to do the work?

• Did you know that different types of lifting equipment have different legal requirements on examinations and inspections?

• How do you know if you are complying with the current legislation?

Current legislation requires that all lifting equipment be inspected by a competent person. The inspector should determine whether designated regular inspection intervals are satisfactory or if a more stringent inspection program should be adhered to due to harsh environmental conditions or higher than normal usage.

We can evaluate your equipment and design an appropriate inspection program in line with current legislation. All equipment inspected will be issued with a computer generated certificate and all cranes and hoists will have a hand written inspection report. Inspection documents are available to customers 24/7 via our Online Equipment Database to be viewed printed or downloaded as required.

On completion of the inspection our service technician will meet with you to review the results. During this review our technician will notify you of any issues that could render your equipment unsafe to operate, discuss any recommended repairs and have you sign the inspection job sheet and reports. This review is an important aspect of our services to you. It enables us to provide you with any important information immediately and ensures that you are aware of any safety concerns discovered during the inspection process. Photographs and video of any issues found during an inspection are recorded within our Online Equipment Database.

We offer fixed price inspection only contracts for one, two or three years and can also offer combined inspection and service contracts. If necessary, inspections can be scheduled outside of normal working hours in order to reduce equipment downtime.

Being a LEEA certified company we have passed the associations technical audit which is designed specifically to ensure that standards of safe practices relating to inspection and testing of lifting equipment is adhered to.

Load Testing and Certification

Proserve Cranes provides a full range of load testing services. We can test and certify all equipment including cranes, monorails, hoists, chain blocks, shackles, slings etc.

All load tests are performed using calibrated measuring equipment to ensure that the correct loading is applied.

For high tonnage, awkward, restricted or unique load testing requirements we can utilize the Water Weight system. This system can dramatically reduce testing time and costs compared to using normal test weights – especially for higher tonnages. In order to use water weights successfully adequate water supply and discharge facilities are required. All load tests are recorded in our Online Equipment Database where customers can access the results and certificates 24/7.

Current legislation can be discussed in detail with our service manager to ensure your company is fully in compliance with statutory requirements.

The water weight above is of 20 tonne capacity and was filled to 16.75 tonne for that particular test.



Online Equipment Database

Our secure Online Equipment Database is a powerful tool available 24/7 to customers who use our inspection, certification, service and repair services.

Its advanced features allow clients access to a complete installation, service, repair, inspection and certification history for all their equipment known to us. When accessing the database clients can check the current status of any of their equipment and view, download and print scanned job sheets, inspection and load testing certificates (manual and computer generated PDF versions) and photographs or video of ongoing repairs or issues.

Although physical copies of job sheets, inspection reports and certificates are issued to customers the ability to instantly retrieve copies, and the maintenance history of equipment, via any internet connected device can be of great benefit during internal, insurance or HSA audits.

Data is entered into our database whenever equipment is supplied, serviced, repaired or inspected by Proserve Cranes. We can also use a new clients existing data to pre populate our database.

The system tracks when equipment certificates will expire and services are due and will automatically email both the client and Proserve Cranes within an appropriate timescale to allow work to be scheduled when it best suits the client.

Customer access to the database has been designed to work via any of the commonly used web browsers such as Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc and will also work with an extensive range of portable devices such as Smartphone’s and the Apple iPad.

EQUIPMENT LIST

This list of equipment has been subset by location, equipment type and serial number. By clicking the equipment ID, or the picture, the equipment details screen will be shown.

Click on the certificate number to bring up a scan of a hand written report or on the PDF icon to retrieve the PDF certificate.



If an inspection certificate is due to expire within one month of the current date then its expiry date will be

displayed in red.

The list of equipment can be subset by a number of months before a regular inspection is due. By using

the Certificate Expires filter, equipment that has been certified but with repairs necessary can be found

easily.

Note the Contact box above each picture – by clicking on this a user can send an enquiry directly to Proserve Cranes relating to that piece of equipment. We will have all of the equipment details required to answer your query quickly and accurately (serial number, hoist type, motor type etc) – saving you time and reducing the possibility of miss identification of equipment.

This function can be useful for accurately reporting issues out of hours. The user is emailed a copy of the

query but it can be sent to multiple customer addresses i.e. the night shift manager can report an issue

which will be copied to the factory and maintenance supervisors.



EQUIPMENT DETAILS

This screen shows details of inspections, repairs, load tests etc. Any of the pictures can be clicked to

enlarge for viewing, printing or downloading. All job sheets for repairs/service are scanned and available

from this screen as well as the hand written inspection reports and PDF certificates.



New Crane Installations

Proserve Cranes supply a complete range of gantry cranes, jib cranes, electric and manual hoists to suit all lifting applications no matter how big or small. We can provide advice from conception through design and installation. We can design and manufacture all steel work for the crane and hoist, if required, so the customer only has to deal with one contractor enabling smooth, hassle free installations.

We are suppliers of Street, Demag, Kone and SWF jib and gantry cranes along with a number of different hoist manufacturers.



Crane Upgrades and Refurbishments

Proserve Cranes provide upgrade and refurbishment services for older cranes and lifting equipment including:

• retrofit of remote controls

• replacement of electrical cables and boards

• the complete overhaul of hoists and travel components

• replacement and retro fit of new equipment to an existing gantry

Remote Control Systems

Proserve Cranes are suppliers of Flex Remote Control Systems which can be retro fitted to most

electrically operated cranes and hoists. These systems, whilst high in quality, are usually substantially

cheaper to install and repair than comparable systems.

As standard each system comes complete with a spare handset in either 4, 8 or 12 button configurations

to insure no downtime in case of accidental damage or loss.

Special configurations can be easily accommodated, for example:

• operation of up to 9 receivers from 1 transmitter

• tandem operation of two cranes or operate either individually from a single handset.

Other special configurations and complete turnkey solutions with full documentation are available on

request.

Unlike many other radio remote control systems, Flex systems use top-quality microprocessors

(encoding, decoding and RF) from well-known chip manufacturers such as MICROCHIP and CHIPCON.

Every system is bench tested for 72 hours before delivery.

Electric Hoists

Proserve Cranes supply and install an extensive range of electric hoists to suit all applications. We can supply hoists from Yale, Lodestar, Street, Demag, SWF etc. Hoists can be supplied with various operating voltages and numerous trolley and connection options to suit a customer’s requirements.

Chain and wire rope hoists are available with lifting capacities from 125kg up to 150 tonnes. Push travel and electric drive options are available.

All hoists are be supplied with low voltage push button pendants or remote control systems designed for either indoor or outdoor use.



Lifting Equipment, Slings & Rigging

Proserve Cranes stocks and sells a full range of lifting slings - custom lifting slings are available upon request. Our vans contain a range of stock for sale and on site repairs. All slings supplied are EU manufactured to the appropriate EU standards and are supplied with individual test certificates.

WEB SLINGS (Simplex, Duplex, Quadplex and Endless).

We offer webbing slings from 0.5 tonne to 40 tonne SWL (Safe Working Load straight lift). Manufactured from 100% polyester fibres (PES), our web sling products cover sling types from endless to quadplex. Web slings are for general purpose lifting and the width of the webbing contributes to both a stable and safe lift. Webb slings can be fitted with reeveable and non-reeveable steel end fittings (Grade 80) upon request.

STANDARD ROUND SLINGS (TE)

Round slings with a safe working loads up to 10 tonnes (7:1 Safety factor) on a straight lift and are available up to 20 Meter effective length (40 meter circumference). All slings have the SWL printed on the sleeve and have one stripe per ton on the circumference. All slings are color coded for easy identification. Wear sleeves are available upon request for added protection at load points. Round slings are lighter and more versatile than wire rope or chain slings.

TECHLON ROUND SLINGS (TLX)

Safe working loads from 1 tonne up to 150 tonnes. All web slings above 10 tonnes SWL are manufactured using a Techlon sleeve. This enables manufacture up to 150 tonnes SWL with the confidence that the sleeve will not be compromised under normal lifting conditions. For abnormal load conditions (i.e. sharp edges on steel) the sling can be protected using the Ultralift range of protection.

CHAIN SLINGS

Proserve Cranes carries several brands of chain slings including Kuplex - the market leader in chain slings. Excellences of design and high standards of quality have gained Kuplex an unrivalled reputation for versatility and reliability. Kuplex is readily available from our stock. Working from stocks of chain and components, it takes only a few minutes to assemble a sling precisely in accordance with the needs of the customer. Custom chain slings can be assembled and repairs can be performed from Kuplex stock carried in our service technicians vans.



Kern Crane Scales

We supply the German manufacturer Kern's range of crane scales and other industrial scales such as pallet truck and trolley scales.

These crane scales are of very high quality with 2 or 3 year warranties and are very competitively priced. All units come with a remote control and long life rechargeable batteries with extra battery packs available.

The HTS unit will weigh up to 10,000 kgs and has a 3 year warranty The HUM range is available in 1,000 or 3,000 kg versions and have 3 year warranties The HUS range is available in 60 to 600 kg versions and comes with a 2 year warranty



Height Safety Equipment

Proserve Cranes offers the Tractel, RidgeGear and Yale brands of harness and fall protection equipment. Tractel, RidgeGear and Yale manufacture the most dynamic and functional range of harnesses offering unparalleled performance and comfort. They provide a robust, streamlined, and ergonomic range of fall arrest blocks and a complete range of rescue and confined space equipment. A full range of lanyards including webbing, rope, and chain is available to maximize choice, flexibility, and overall safety.

A versatile range of kits which include harnesses, lanyards, fall arrest blocks and protective carry cases are available for safe storage.
