Funding of South Bristol LInk Project Local Contribution

As requested. I am pleased to provide the following confirmation of the local contribution tothe South Bristol link project from North Somerset Council (NSC).

The original budget of £44.517m was approved at the NSe Executive meeti~ on tf'February 2012. includIng the funding required for the NSe local contribution. A revisedbudget for the project has since been approved of £46.978m. This revision has beenthrough the govemance procedure for the West of England transport projects Includingapproval at JTEC on 1311i March 2014.

ThIs increase in the project budget along with the increased NSC local contribution wasapproved at full Council on 14th January 2014. The funding of this revised project budget isshown below:

The Off grant allocation of £27.637m was approved in November 2011 when ProgrammeEntry was confirmed and the Developer Contribution of £3.190m is the subject of a signed

8106 agreement. The NSC local contnbuUon of £6.481m includes secured grants and

capital receipts. along with approval to undertake prudential borrowing of some £4.2m.The BCe contribution of £9.670m is the subject of a separate letterfrom that Council's5151 Offlcer.

As requested, J am pleased 10 provide the following confirmation of the localcontribution to the South Bristol Link (SBL) project from Bristol City Councll (BCC).

Tho resources for S8l have formed part of a number of fUnding decisions at Beerelating to the whole of the MalioSus progiamme. Our total local contribution forMettoBus (IncllJding funding of SBl) includes £15m hom Bristol Futures, approvedby Cabinet on 2611\ January 2012, £Srn from L TP.

A report 10 Cabinet on 16t1l January 2014 sel out the additional funding re~irements

and as a resurt £27.e8rn of resources 'uere approved at Full Council 00 18 February

2014, as part of the BCe Capital Investment Programme. This funding will besecured from prudential borrowing.

The funding of SBl is from withIn tliese resources which total £42.68rn. Ourexpectation is that of this fotal funding, the Bee contribution to SBl will be £9.67m
