A host of practical activities including Walking, Camping, High Ropes, Climbing, Slacklining, Orienteering and some we haven’t thought of yet.What will I learn? An example of the units is listed below, but you will need your walking boots.
Option Block 1: Core Units, 3 Lessons a week• Unit 1 and 2: Anatomy and Physiology• Unit 7: Making a Fitness Training Programme • Unit 3: Assessing Risk in Sport
Examples of Non-Core Units, 3 Lessons a week
• Unit 33: Skills for Land Based Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
• Unit 10: Outdoor Adventurous Activities• Unit 29: Principles and Practices in Outdoor
Adventure• Unit 17: Alternative Pursuits in Outdoor Adventure• Unit 18: Environmental Education
This course can be completed as the equivalent of half, full or double A Level options.
Entry Requirements: This course is for people that like the outdoor environment and are prepared to take part even if the weather is rubbish; people with a sense of adventure, who are practical and can work as part of a team. You will need a grade 4/5 in English and a can-do attitude.

What will I do?
Is this for me?
Work related skills are of a high priority to employers. Skills such as effective communication and teamwork will be specifically worked on and improved. These skills will be of advantage to any student going into the workforce but will aid in particular those students who are considering working in the Outdoor Environment or Leisure Industry.
