This PDS is designed to assist you in your decision to purchase Our Wedding Insurance. It contains information about key benefits and significant features of Our Wedding Insurance.

The PDS also contains important information about your rights and obligations including:Cooling Off Period on page 5Dispute Resolution on pages 5Privacy Notice on page 6Duty of Disclosure on page 8

If you have a complaint, our complaint procedure is detailed on pages 7.

AIG is the product issuer of Our Wedding Insurance and prepared this PDS and settles claims. Our Wedding has given approval to AIG for the use of their logo and branding on this product.

Key Benefits of Your PolicyOur Wedding Insurance provides you with financial protection for your expenses on your wedding event in Australia. Some key coverage includes:

1. Lost deposits upon event cancellation or postponement,

2. Additional expenses to rearrange a comparable wedding event within 30 days from the original wedding date,

3. Additional costs to arrange alternative equivalent services should a supplier not fulfil their contracted agreement,

4. Accidental damage and theft protection for wedding items including wedding attire, rings, photos and flowers.

Your choices of coverThis policy allows you to select the cover you want based on your Wedding costs.

Plan typeUnder this policy, depending on the type of cover you want, you can select a Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond plan. Different plans have different levels of cover. These are set out below.

Important: The Plan Options and Benefit Table set out below provide a summary of cover. Values shown in the Benefit Table are maximum amounts payable in Australian Dollars. The Plan Options and Benefit Table also show the maximum amount we will pay for all claims combined under each Section. Please refer to the applicable Sections of the Policy Wording.

Important InformationThis policy is subject to Terms, Conditions, Special Provisions, and Exclusions. It is important that you read the Policy Wording carefully to familiarise yourself with these provisions. Specifically, please take special note of the following matters.

– The Policy Wording contains a Definition section on pages 9-12 and General Conditions that apply to this insurance on pages 22-24.

– In relation to Section H – Personal Liability on page 18 this policy responds in circumstances where you become legally liable for property damage, bodily injury or medical expenses. This policy will not respond where you assume liability under contract or agreement unless such liability would still be implied by law regardless of the contract or agreement. Please ensure you fully understand any contract/agreement that you enter into and the impact it may have to the coverage afforded by this policy.

– There are some circumstances where cover cannot be provided. These are covered in the Policy Wording. Please take special note of the Exclusions applicable to all sections of the policy listed on pages 21 of the Policy Wording.

Eligibility CriteriaProvided you pay the premium, then you will be entitled to the Wedding Insurance set out in this policy.

You must be a resident of Australia to be eligible for the benefits set out in this policy.

Your Wedding Event must be held within Australia

You must notify us within three weeks of any material changes. You can notify us of such changes by email at the following address: [email protected] or by fax at 03 9522 4651. Neglecting to notify us of such changes may be a breach of this policy.

Period of InsuranceSubject to cancellation, your Wedding Insurance will be valid from the policy commencement date shown on the Policy Schedule, your Wedding Insurance will begin no sooner than 12 months before the date of the wedding ceremony which includes the 30 day waiting period, and it will end 24 hours after the end of the wedding reception.

CostsThe premium under this insurance policy is solely based on the option you select: Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond plan. The premium is payable when the product is purchased. The premium payable by you is shown in your Policy Schedule.

Premiums and fees are subject to Commonwealth and State taxes and levies which include the Goods and Services Tax, Fire Service Levies and Stamp Duty which are shown on your Policy Schedule.You will also be liable for an excess if you lodge a claim under the policy.

ExcessYou are liable for the first $100 of each and every claim you make under this policy. If an event leads you to claim under more than one section of this policy, you will only be required to pay one excess.

Waiting PeriodA 30 day waiting period will apply for the plan you have selected from the policy commencement date shown on the Policy Schedule.

Cooling Off periodYou may return this policy to us within 14 days of purchasing, provided that no claim has arisen. We will cancel the policy and give you a full refund of premium.

The Code of PracticeAIG is a signatory to the General Insurance Code of Practice. This aims to raise the standards of practice and service in the insurance industry, improve the way the claims and complaints are handled and help people better understand how general insurance works. Information brochures on the Code are available upon request.

Dispute ResolutionWe are committed to handling any complaints about our products or services efficiently and fairly.

If you have a complaint:

1. Contact us on our dedicated complaints line – 1300 339 669.

2. If your complaint is not satisfactorily resolved you may request that the matter be reviewed by management by writing to:

3. If you are still unhappy, you may request that the matter be reviewed by Our Internal Dispute Resolution Committee (“Committee”). We will respond to you with the Committee’s findings within 15 working days.

4. If you are not satisfied with the finding of the Committee, you may be able to take your matter to an independent dispute resolution body, Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). This external dispute resolution body can make decisions with which AIG are obliged to comply.

Why we collect your personal informationAIG collects information necessary to:• underwriteandadministeryour insurance cover;

• maintainandimprovecustomerservice;and

• adviseyou of our and other products and services that may interest you.

You have a legal obligation under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 to disclose certain information. Failure to disclose information required may result in AIG declining cover, cancelling your insurance cover or reducing the level of cover, or declining claims.

To whom we disclose your personal informationIn the course of underwriting and administering your policy we may disclose your information to:

• entitiestowhichAIGisrelated,reinsurers,contractorsorthird party providers providing services related to the administration of your policy;

• banksandfinancialinstitutionsforpolicypayments;

• assessors,thirdpartyadministrators,emergencyproviders, retailers, medical providers, travel carriers, in the event of a claim;

• government,lawenforcement,disputeresolution,statutory or regulatory bodies, or as required by law.

AIG is likely to disclose information to some of these entities located overseas, including in the following countries: United States of America, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand as well as any country in which you have a claim and such other countries as may be notified in our Privacy Policy from time to time.

You may request not to receive direct marketing communications from AIG.

Access to your personal informationOur Privacy Policy contains information about how you may access and seek correction of personal information we hold about you. In summary, you may gain access to your personal information by submitting a written request to AIG.

In some circumstances permitted under the Privacy Act 1988, AIG may not permit access to your personal information. Circumstances where access may be denied include where it would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of other individuals, or where it would be unlawful.

ComplaintsOur Privacy Policy also contains information about how you may complain about a breach of the applicable privacy principles and how we will deal with such a complaint.

ConsentYour application includes a consent that you and any other individuals you provide information about consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in this notice.

Policy Wording Important Notes

This document is only valid when issued in conjunction with a Policy Schedule and provided the appropriate insurance premium has been paid. It is important that you refer to the terms and conditions of this policy for full details of cover.

1) This document contains your insurance policy terms and conditions. It is important that you read and understand it and retain it in a safe place.

2) In relation to Section H – Personal Liability on page 18 this policy responds in circumstances where you become legally liable for property damage, bodily injury or medical expenses. This policy will not respond where you assume liability under contract or agreement unless such liability would still be implied by law regardless of the contract or agreement. Please ensure you fully understand any contract/agreement that you enter into and the impact it may have to the coverage afforded by this policy.

3) Please inform us immediately of:

(a) any change in your address; and/or

(b) any other changes affecting you, the bride and groom or an immediate family member which will require an alteration to the policy.

We will provide you, the policyholder, the insurance described in this policy, in return for your compliance with all applicable provisions of this policy.

Duty of disclosure

What You Must Tell usWhen answering our questions, you must be honest and you have a duty under law to tell us anything known to you, and which a reasonable person in the circumstances, would include in answer to the question. We will use the answers in deciding whether to insure you and anyone else to be insured under the policy, and on what terms.

Who Needs to Tell usIt is important that you understand you are answering our questions in this way for yourself and for anyone else whom you want to be covered by this policy.

If You Do Not Tell usIf you do not answer our questions in this way, we may reduce or refuse to pay a claim, or cancel a policy. If you answer our questions fraudulently, we may refuse to pay a claim and treat the policy as never having been in existence.

Policy DefinitionsWords with a special meaning are shown in this policy in bold, italic font.

Accidental damage means any externally visible damage or destruction of specific property resulting from a sudden external, unexpected and unforeseeable cause that impedes the proper functioning or purpose of the specific property.

Adverse Weather Conditions means weather conditions that cause a major disruption to travel services, including air, water, rail and road closures.

Benefit Table means the table under Key Benefits of your policy listing the level of cover provided under that section.

Bodily Injury means a physical injury caused by a violent, external, sudden and visible means which occurs fortuitously whilst this insurance is in force and which results solely and directly and independently of any pre-existing condition.

Bride and Groom are the individuals entering the legal contract of marriage or civil union and commitment ceremonies as part of the wedding event as listed in the Policy Schedule.

Burglary means the taking of property belonging to the bride and/or groom by a person or persons who illegally entered their nominated residence using force or violence with visible signs of forced entry.

Business means a trade, profession or occupation engaged in on a full-time, part-time or occasional basis; or any other activity engaged in for financial compensation.

Cheque(s) means any bank draft drawn against deposited funds to pay a specific sum made out to the bride and/or groom for purposes of providing them with a wedding gift.

Civil Union and Commitment Ceremonies means a union between any two people but not limited to Intent to remain in a permanent relationship, financially independent; jointly responsible for common welfare, shared living quarters and permanent address, or not related by blood that would normally prevent legal marriage.

Electrical and Stereo Equipment means TVs, CD/DVD players, stereo sets, computers and refrigerators.

Honeymoon Trip means travel started within 7 days of the wedding event and for no longer than 30 days in total by the bride and groom for purposes of celebrating their marriage.

Immediate Family Members means the parents, siblings and grandparents of the bride and groom.

Medical Expense means the reasonable and necessary cost of the following services; a. Medical, surgical, x-ray and/or dental services b. Ambulance and/or hospital charges.

Money means currency, coins and bank notes in current use as legal tender.

Natural Catastrophe means flood, wind storm, lightning, fire, explosion, landslide, or earthquake.

Nominated Residence means the residence as shown on the Policy Schedule for the bride and groom. This will be the insured residence for the purpose of Section I – Home Protection While you Are Away cover.

Occurrence means an accidental loss to a covered item or an accident including continuous or repeated exposure to similar harmful conditions which results in bodily injury or property damage.

Personal Bridal Jewelry means the owned and/or rented jewelry worn by the bride for the wedding event.

Personal Injury means injury other than bodily injury that arises out of any of the following acts: a. false arrest, false detention or false imprisonment b. malicious prosecution c. wrongful entry or wrongful eviction d. defamation, libel or slander; or e. invasion of privacy.

Policyholder means a person who has completed the application form either online or sent by mail or fax to AIG, or made the application over the telephone with a AIG representative for Our Wedding Insurance Cover, for the policy period as specified in the Policy Schedule and who has paid the premium.

Policy means: a. all the terms, conditions, definitions, exclusions, limitations and provisions contained in the section of this document titled ‘The Coverage’; plus b. the Policy Schedule; and c. any endorsements attaching to and forming part of this policy, issued by us either at inception or during the policy period.

Policy Period begins on the policy Commencement date shown on the Policy Schedule following a 30 day waiting period, and expires 24 hours after the conclusion of the wedding reception.

Policy Schedule is the printed document showing the insured, issuing company and benefits you have selected. It includes the policy period, limits selected, deductibles and the date, location and other details of the wedding event for which the coverage applies. The Policy Schedule also lists the optional policy riders you have selected.

Pre-existing Medical Condition means any ongoing medical condition or conditions which required medical treatment (including consultations or advice) within the 12 months preceding the policy period.

Premium means the amount payable by the policyholder and shall include any and all applicable stamp duty, goods and services tax, government charges, levies and fees.

Property Damage means physical injury to, destruction of or loss of use of tangible property due to an unforeseen accident.

Robbery means the unlawful taking of money or other property by a person or person(s) who has caused or threatened bodily harm to you, the bride, groom, or an immediate family member.

Specific Property means items listed under Section D – Specific Property which are associated with the wedding event and are in the possession of you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

Terrorist Act means any actual or threatened use of force or violence directed at or causing damage, injury, harm or disruption, or commission of an act dangerous to human life or property, against any individual, property or government, with the stated or unstated objective of pursuing economic, ethnic, nationalistic, political, racial or religious interests, whether such interests are declared or not.

Theft or stolen means the unlawful taking of property from your care and/or custody, during a burglary or robbery without your consent and with the intent of gain.

Travel Time begins when the bride and groom leave their nominated residence to commence their honeymoon trip and concludes when they return to their nominated residence following their honeymoon trip.

Transit means in direct conveyance, without any interruption to the journey.

You and Your means the bride, groom, policyholder as listed on the Policy Schedule and immediate family members, who may have a financial interest in and have paid for all or part of the wedding event and/or wedding services.

War means war, whether declared or not, or any warlike activities, including the use of military force by any sovereign nation to achieve economic, geographic, nationalistic, political, racial, religious or other ends.

We, Us, and Our means AIG Australia Limited (AIG) ABN 93 004 727 753 AFSL 381686.

Wedding Attire means formal rented or owned clothing or accessories worn by the bride and/or groom at the wedding event.

Wedding Ceremony is that part of the wedding event creates the legally enforceable contract of marriage between the bride and groom or civil union and commitment ceremonies at the address shown on the Policy Schedule.

Wedding Entertainment means any musical, artistic, performance activity and/or amusement contracted by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member for the wedding event.

Wedding Event means a wedding ceremony and related activities which may include a rehearsal dinner that takes place no more than 48 hours before the wedding ceremony and a reception following the wedding ceremony that takes place no more than 7 days after the wedding ceremony.

Wedding gifts means items including, but not limited to, cheque(s) and money the bride and groom are given for the purpose of celebrating their wedding event.

Wedding Photographs means still images in digital or film format of the wedding event taken by a photographer, contracted by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

Wedding Rings means the ring(s) exchanged by the bride and groom at the wedding event.

Wedding services means transportation, accommodations, catered food, wedding attire, wedding cake, wedding entertainment, wedding flowers, wedding photographs, wedding video and wedding stationery associated with the wedding event and provided by a wedding supplier.

Wedding Supplier means a business contracted by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member to provide goods and services associated with the wedding event.

Wedding Video means moving images in digital or tape format of the wedding event taken by a videographer contracted by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

The Coverage We will provide the following coverage for your wedding event.

Section A – Cancellation and Postponement (i) In the event of cancellation or postponement of the wedding

event, We will pay for any non-recoverable expenses incurred by you for wedding services.

(ii) We will cover the expenses associated with cancellation or postponement as a result of:

1. The booked venue being unavailable to hold the wedding event due to an outbreak of infection or contagious disease, severe damage to the venue due to natural catastrophe, murder or suicide at the venue up to 24 hours prior to the wedding event, or closure of the venue by a government entity.

2. Death of the bride and/or groom.

3. Your death, or the death of an immediate family member within 7 days of the wedding event.

4. Injury or sickness resulting in patient hospitalisation of the bride, groom, or an immediate family member preventing them from attending the wedding event.

5. Adverse Weather Conditions that result in the inability of the bride and/or groom to reach the wedding ceremony venue in time for the exchanging of vows.

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section A – Cancellation and Postponement is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3, for the plan you have selected.

Section B – Rearrangement(i) In the event of a covered cancellation or postponement in

Section A-Cancellation and Postponement, we will pay, for the wedding event to be rescheduled within 30 days from the original date shown on the Policy Schedule. We will reimburse you for reasonable additional costs incurred to rearrange the wedding event and/or for wedding services to be contracted for a similar standard.

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section B – Rearrangement is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3, for the plan you have selected.

Coverage Exclusions Applicable to Section A and Section B OnlyThe following exclusions apply to Section A, Cancellation and Postponement and Section B, Rearrangement.

We will not pay for:

1. Any event or circumstances known to you at the date of application for this insurance shown on the Policy Schedule that is likely to result in cancellation or postponement of the wedding event.

2. Any expenses incurred if the wedding event is cancelled or postponed due to a venue employee strike and/or worker stoppage.

3. Cancellation or postponement due to the mental infirmity, or real or perceived intentional infliction of emotional distress following a voluntary decision by you or the bride and groom not to proceed with or take part in the wedding event, including, but not limited to a voluntary decision resulting from a change of heart or any disagreement between you, the bride, groom and/or an immediate family member.

4. Cancellation due to the suicide of the bride and/or groom.

5. Cancellation or postponement of the wedding event as the result of local ordinance, regulation, strikes or labour disputes.

6. Failure to immediately notify a wedding services provider if it becomes necessary to cancel or postpone the wedding event.

7. Additional costs of which we have not been notified or agreed to in advance of the rearranged wedding event.

8. The cost of a cruise if its route has been diverted due to weather once the cruise ship has departed from its port of origin.

9. Your illness or that of the bride, groom or immediate family member which results in hospitalization or death due to a pre-existing medical condition.

10. Losses resulting from a person acting against the advice of a medical practitioner.

11. Weather conditions other than adverse weather conditions which prevent the bride and/or groom from attending the wedding ceremony.

12. Criminal conduct by the bride and/or groom leading to their arrest.

Conditions Applicable to Section A and Section BIf the bride, groom or an immediate family member suffers any injury, or becomes ill, causing the wedding event to be cancelled or postponed, that person must immediately seek medical care from a qualified medical doctor whose advice they follow. In such an event, the bride, groom or immediate family member must allow doctors of our choice to examine them, and/or be required to provide proof of written injury or proof from their doctor as often as we reasonably require.

If the wedding event is rescheduled, the coverage purchased as stated on the Policy Schedule in this policy will have expired and we will not return the premium.

Special claims conditions: All additional costs and expenses must be provided and agreed to by us prior to your incurring those expenses for the rearranged wedding event.

Section C – Failure of Suppliers(i) In the event of a wedding supplier failing to meet signed

contracted obligations with the policyholder for wedding services, due to the wedding supplier’s bankruptcy, liquidation or non-appearance, we will pay up to the limit shown on the Benefit Table:

a. Non-recoverable deposits.

b. Additional costs in arranging alternative equivalent wedding services.

The maximum amount we will pay the you for all claims combined under Section C – Failure of Supplier is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3, for the plan you have selected.

Coverage Exclusions applicable to Section CThe following coverage exclusions apply to Section C – Failure of Supplier.

We will not pay for:

1. Amounts that are recoverable from another source.

2. Any costs which would have been incurred by you had the original wedding supplier performed its services pursuant to the wedding supplier’s signed contract.

Section D – Specific PropertyWe will provide accidental damage and/or theft coverage for the following specific property associated with your wedding event:

(i) Wedding Attire

a. We will pay at our option the cost to repair or replace, whichever is less, the stolen or damaged wedding attire without deduction for depreciation.

b. Replaced or repaired wedding attire will only be provided if the wedding attire is stolen or damaged while in your possession or that of the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

(ii) Wedding Cake and Wedding Flowers

(iii) Wedding gifts

a. Wedding gifts must be at your home or the home of the bride, groom, an immediate family member, or at the location in which the wedding event is held, or in transit between any of these locations.

b. We will cover at our discretion the full cost to repair or replace, whichever is less, the stolen or damaged wedding gifts without deduction for depreciation.

c. We will pay up to a total value of $300 in aggregate for cash, stolen cheques, money orders, gift cards with a monetary value, or monetary instruments.

(iv) Wedding Rings and Personal Bridal Jewellery

a. We will pay at our discretion the cost to repair or replace, whichever is less, the stolen or damaged wedding rings and personal bridal jewellery without deduction for depreciation.

b. If we pay to replace a pair or set in the event a part of the pair or set is stolen or damaged, we will be entitled to keep the remaining parts of the original pair or set.

(v) Wedding Stationery

In the event your wedding event is cancelled and rescheduled within the terms of Section A, Cancellation and Postponement and Section B, Rearrangement, or your wedding stationery experiences accidental damage or robbery within the terms of Section D – Specific Property of this policy, we will pay to reimburse you for the stationery and printing costs already incurred for covered incidents under this policy.

(vi) Wedding Photographs and Wedding Video

The policy period for wedding photographs and wedding videos is extended to the contracted date of delivery, or up to 90 days after the conclusion of the wedding event, whichever occurs first.

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section D – Specific Property is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3, for the plan you have selected.

Coverage Exclusions applicable to Section DThe following coverage exclusions apply to Coverage D – Specific Property.

We will not pay for:

1. A lack in quality or workmanship that does meet your expectations including but not limited to content, form, quality, style, colours, whether real or perceived.

2. Accidental damage or mysterious disappearance of the engagement ring.

3. Mysterious disappearance of any stone in a wedding ring(s) or personal bridal jewellery.

4. For wedding attire not purchased as new, loss or damage caused by wear or any process or cleaning, restoration or repair. For all wedding attire, damage caused from alternations, wear, tear, moth or vermin, mould or atmospheric or climatic conditions.

5. Accidental damage and/or theft of self-propelled vehicles designed to be operated on the highway, motorized water craft and aircraft.

6. Theft or disappearance of cash, cheques, money orders, gift cards or other monetary instruments with an individual or aggregate value greater than $300.

7. Accidental damage and/or theft due to specific property being left in an unattended vehicle, unless it is left in the locked trunk, or locked glove compartment of a vehicle concealed from view and there is evidence of violent, visible and forcible entry. This applies to wedding attire, wedding cake, wedding flowers, wedding gifts, wedding rings, personal bridal jewellery, and wedding stationery.

8. Legal representation for you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member in order to pursue a legal proceeding against any wedding supplier.

Section E – Wedding DocumentsWe will pay up to the amount shown in the Benefit Table on page 3 for the plan you have selected following loss or damage to wedding documents occurring within 24 hours before and after the wedding event. We will choose whether to reimburse you or replace the documents.

We will not pay for:

1. Any sums recoverable from any other source.

2. Any documents not in the care or custody of you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

Section F – Damage to hire marquees, furniture and equipmentThis Cover is only available when selecting Gold, Platinum or Diamond cover.

We will provide accidental damage coverage for marquees or tents including gazebos, staging, flooring, chairs, tables, furniture, household or lighting equipment hired during the wedding period:

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section F – Damage to hire marquees, furniture and equipment is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3 for the plan you have selected.

Coverage Exclusions application to Section FThe following coverage exclusions apply to Section F – Damage to hire marquees, furniture and equipment.

We will not pay for:

1. Any sums recoverable from another source.

2. Damage arising from erection dismantling of any hired property.

3. Damage to flooring caused by footwear.

4. Audio and visual entertainment equipment.

5. Curios, pictures, works of art, gold or silver articles.

6. Any process involving cleaning, repairing, altering or restoring; heating or any process involving the direct application of heat.

7. Theft of property from an unlocked vehicle or whilst unattended in the open air.

Section G – Contract Disputes(i) We will negotiate for the policyholder’s legal rights in a

contractual dispute arising from an agreement which you have entered into for the buying or hiring of any goods or services within Australia in respect of your wedding.

(ii) We will also pay for any legal proceedings in courts within Australia. We will pay costs and expenses up to the Sum Insured for contract disputes which have a date of occurrence within the policy period.

If an appointed representative is used, we will pay the costs and expenses incurred for this. We will only provide this cover if there is a reasonable chance of recovering damages. We will determine at our sole discretion when there is a reasonable chance of recovery or of a successful defence in the event of a civil claim.

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section G – Contract Disputes is shown under the Benefit Table on page 3, for the plan you have selected.

Coverage Exclusions applicable to Section GThe following coverage exclusions apply to Section G – Contract Disputes.

We will not pay for:

1. A contract regarding an insured person’s profession, business or employment.

2. The settlement payable under an insurance policy.

3. A contract relating to the insured person’s honeymoon.

4. Any costs and expenses incurred without our prior written consent.

5. Any insured incident intentionally brought about by you or a person acting with your consent.

6. Any claim relating to your alleged dishonesty or alleged violent behaviour.

7. Any claim relating to written or verbal remarks which damage the contracting parties’ reputation.

8. Any claims relating to property damage or bodily injury liability.

Section H – Personal LiabilityThis Cover is only available when selecting Gold, Platinum or Diamond cover.

We will pay up to the amount shown on the Benefit Table on page 3 for the property damage and/or bodily injury and/or medical expense caused by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member, for which you and/or they become legally liable as a result of the wedding event. We will also pay for legal costs and expenses in defending any claim in respect to such injury or damage.

Coverage Exclusions applicable to Section H The following coverage exclusions apply to Section H – Personal Liability.

We will not pay for:

1. Losses related to personal injury

2. Liability in respect to bodily injury to you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

3. Bodily injury and/or property damage that take place at venues other than those shown on the Policy Schedule.

4. Liability in respect of loss or damage to the property belonging to or in the care, custody, charge or under control of you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member or any person in your employment or service, other than:

a. premises which are leased or rented to you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member or any person in your employment or service, and

b. goods, equipment, merchandise and property other than real property subject to cover being limited to a maximum of $10,000 each occurrence and in the aggregate during any one policy period for such property damage.

5. Liability created by an agreement which would not have existed in the absence of such an agreement.

6. Bodily injury to any person caused by:

a. Self inflicted injury.

b. Alcohol or drugs (other than those prescribed for and taken as per the orders of a medical doctor).

c. Mental or nervous disorder.

d. Military operations.

e. Taking part in hazardous activities, formal or informal, public or private including but not limited to:

i Hunting ii Skiing or sledding iii Racing of vehicles of any kind iv Scuba diving or sky diving

f. Any incidental food poisoning occurrence related to the wedding event.

g. An intentional act.

h. Your use or ownership of private aircraft.

i. Watercraft, motorized land vehicle.

j. Liquor liability – causing and/or contributing to the intoxication of any person, including serving alcohol to minors.

k. Bodily injury arising out of actual or threatened sexual abuse, or molestation, sexual harassment.

l. Pollution.

m. Bodily injury or property damage occurring on any date other than the date shown as the wedding event on the Policy Schedule.

n. Wedding Suppliers’ Acts or omissions.

o. Wedding Suppliers’ bodily injury.

Section I – Home Protection While You are AwayThis coverage is optional. The following terms and conditions apply if this coverage is selected; we will pay up to the limit shown on the Benefit Table on page 4.

We will pay for damages, disappearance or destruction of the following items due to burglary at the bride and groom’s nominated residence during the honeymoon trip travel time:

a. Bride and groom’s furniture, clothes, electrical and stereo equipment.

b. Bride and groom’s money and cheque(s) up to $300 in aggregate.

c. Bride and groom’s specific property associated with the wedding event.

Coverage Exclusions applicable to Section I The following coverage exclusions apply to Section I – Home protection while you are away.

We will not pay for:

1. Coverage provided under section I, for the bride and groom’s honeymoon trip which exceeds 30 days in duration.

2. Losses to any other items that are not listed under the “We will pay for” Section in the above.

3. Losses that are due to events other than burglary, including but not limited to fire, smoke, lightning, wind, water, flood earthquake, volcanic eruption, tidal wave, landslide, hail, or other acts of god.

4. Losses that result from or are related to business pursuits including the bride and/or groom’s work or profession.

The maximum amount we will pay you for all claims combined under Section I – Home protection while you are away is shown under the Benefit Table on page 4, for the level you have selected.

Policy ExclusionsThese exclusions apply to the entire policy.

We will not pay for:

1. Any wedding events outside of Australia.

2. Any occurrences that take place at bridal showers, announcements/engagement parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, other parties or celebrations related to the wedding event that are not included in the definition of wedding event.

3. Any dishonest, criminal malicious or fraudulent acts or omissions, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct committed by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

4. Losses directly or indirectly as the result of alcoholism, the use of intoxicating drinks or drugs (other than medication taken as prescribed by a medical practitioner, but not for drug addiction).

5. Losses directly or indirectly happening as the result of any civil or foreign war, invasion, strike, riot rebellion, civil commotion, terrorist act or confiscation by authorities.

6. Any damage caused by a natural catastrophe, atmospheric or climatic conditions, fire, water, normal wear and tear, mould and dry rot, manufacturing defects, vermin or insects, unless specifically identified elsewhere in the policy.

7. Losses directly or indirectly resulting from nuclear reaction, nuclear, biological or chemical exposure.

8. If you suffer any loss, damage or liability arising under this insurance and there is any other insurance covering the same loss, damage or liability, we will pay only the amount that is not covered by another source up to the limit shown under the Benefit Table on page 3 for the plan you have selected.

9. Incidents that may result in a claim not sent to us in writing within 30 days of the expiration of this insurance other than specified under the Section D – Specific Property.

10. Other loss, damage or additional expense that occurs after the insured wedding event.

11. Mysterious disappearance of any covered Specific Property.

12. Losses arising from prohibitive regulations by any Government entity.

13. Shutdown of venues on a Government declared national day of mourning.

14. Wilful or malicious acts and any acts of vandalism by persons invited to wedding event by you, the bride, groom, an immediate family member, or any wedding event guest.

15. Any circumstance manifesting itself after the date the wedding event was booked, but prior to the date of issue of the policy period.

16. Claims arising from the ownership or use of firearms, fireworks or other pyrotechnic devices or effect.

17. Cancellation and postponement due to you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member’s being called to attend a duty as an employee of the armed forces or police, fire or ambulance services due to an unforeseen emergency.

18. Cancellation and postponement due to your, the bride’s, groom’s or an immediate family member’s unemployment.

19. Cancellation or postponement due to changes in employment and/or location of employment.

20. Cancellation and postponement due to pregnancy or childbirth.

21. Insufficient funds to finance the wedding event and/or wedding services by you, the bride, groom or an immediate family member.

22. Non-appearance of any person including immediate family members, except for reasons described in this policy section.

23. Liability offset by all collectible refunds of deposits.

General ConditionsPolicy Commencement This policy shall not be binding until you have completed the application process and your application has been received and accepted by us. The policy will commence from the date listed on the Policy Schedule and shall remain in force in respect of all periods for which the premium has been paid and accepted by us. We may cancel or lapse this policy in the event your credit card nominated by you on your application form has been declined by the credit provider.

Policy DeductibleSubject to the policy limits that apply, we will pay only that part of the total of all covered loss that exceeds the deductible amount shown in the Policy Schedule.

Assignment The rights under this policy or in respect of it cannot be assigned without our prior written consent.

Transfer This policy cannot be transferred or assigned to any other person or property other than the one nominated on the Policy Schedule.

Policy Cancellation and ChangesWe may cancel this policy at any time by giving you 30 days’ prior written notice. This notice will be posted to you at the last known mailing address.

You must notify us within 30 days of any change in circumstance which will affect this insurance.

Refunds Except as expressly set out in this policy, you are not entitled to a refund of the premium upon cancellation of your Wedding Insurance Cover.

Concealment, Misrepresentation or FraudAny relevant provision(s) of this policy shall be void in any case of fraud or if you at any time intentionally conceals or misrepresents a material fact concerning (i) the policy; or (ii) any claim.

Australian LawThe Our Wedding insurance cover is governed by the laws of Victoria and any dispute or action in connection therewith shall be conducted and determined in Australia.

Tax or ImpostsWhere we believe we will become liable for any tax or imposts levied by any Commonwealth or state government, authority or body in connection with this policy, we may adjust the premium or benefits under this policy in the manner and to the extent we determine to be appropriate to take account of the tax or impost.

CurrencyAll amounts shown in this policy are in Australian currency (AUD). If expenses or losses are incurred in a foreign currency, then the rate of currency exchange used to calculate the amount payable in Australia currency (AUD) will be the rate at the time of incurring the expense or suffering the loss.

You must use all reasonable means to avoid future loss at and after the time of loss.

Compliance We have no duty to provide coverage under this policy unless there has been full compliance with the duties that are detailed in each policy section.

General Claims Provisions(i) You must exercise the utmost good faith in making any claim

against this policy.

(ii) You shall take reasonable steps to prevent or minimise any loss or claim which may be recoverable under this policy.

(iii) All rights against carriers and/or bailees and/or sub-contractors and/or other third parties are to properly preserved and exercised by you.

(iv) It is a condition of this policy that all losses resulting from theft or where theft may reasonably be suspected shall be reported to the police immediately.

LiabilityExcept with our written consent, no person is entitled to admit liability on our behalf or to give any representations or other undertaking binding upon us.

Fulfilment of Policy Terms and ConditionsFulfilment of all terms and conditions of this insurance coverage by you or anyone acting on your behalf regarding actions

needed to be taken, compliance with policy, shall be a condition to our liability to make any payment under this insurance.

Our Rights To Recovery Against OthersIf you or the bride, groom or an immediate family member have rights to recover all or part of any payment we make under this policy, those rights become ours up to the amount we have paid. You and the bride, groom and immediate family members must do nothing after an occurrence to impair these rights. At our request, you, the bride, groom and immediate family members will bring suit or transfer those right to us and help us to enforce them.

Duty To CooperateYou, the bride, groom and all immediate family members must cooperate with us in the investigation, settlement or defence of any claim or suit.

Claims Procedure

Duties After A Loss In the event of a covered loss you must do the following:

1. In the event of a theft loss, you must call us at 1300 942 807 or provide written notice within 48 hours of discovering the loss to make a claim and obtain the proper forms and instructions.

2. You must file a police report within 48 hours of discovering a covered incident (where necessary).

3. You must complete and return any claim forms and accompanying documents including the police report (where necessary), signed wedding supplier contracts, receipts and any other documents we may ask you to provide

4. Within, 14 days of making the original claim, all claim submission forms and required documents must be returned to us.

5. Make all reasonable efforts to find another place to hold the wedding event if the original wedding event venue is closed on your scheduled date.

6. Take all reasonable precautions and actions to avoid further loss, destruction, damage, liability and expense.
