Pole Marquees provide an elegant wedding, party

or festival tent on soft, level ground.

Key FeaturesStrong and Durable - will last over 20 years, designed to

withstand 80mph wind loading (3 sec gusts).

Modular design. The roof sheets are made in sections

and laced together, with storm flaps. This gives flexibility

in constructing smaller or larger marquees, as the event

dictates. Reduces initial investment, with additional

sections purchased as demand grows.

Reduced construction times. We offer both ‘push up’

and ‘pull up’ construction methods.

Design StrengthWe were the first UK Manufacturer to pass UK

and European wind loading standards with our

Pole Marquees. This means that they are

designed to withstand wind speeds of up to

36m/s (or 80mph) – which is the same as our

Clear Span Frame Marquees.

We use high strength webbing at all tension

points to improve performance and increase

the life of the Marquee

Our king & wall pole eyelets are stainless steel

– not brass – as they can be holding up to 6

thicknesses of fabric. They are designed to

avoid damage and tearing.

Fabric SpecificationOur Pole Marquees are available in natural

materials such as Polycotton Canvas, or man

made fabrics such as PVC. All fabrics are Fire

Retardant, UV stabilised & anti-fungal.

Polycotton Canvas is stronger and lighter than

canvas.

No LeaksOur Polycotton Canvas Pole Marquees do not

leak after they have been conditioned. This is

because we sew the seams using a ‘Double

French Seaming’ technique, anti-wick thread

and small needle. It may take longer to sew,

but we believe it is worth it!

Quick & Easy Construction MethodsOur Pole Marquees are designed to be constructed quickly,

using either ‘pull up’ or ‘push up’ methods. Even our pull up

system enables the king poles to go up together.

To make life easier our systems apply double purchase

tackles at the lace points, corners and intermediary points

giving you 4 times body weight when pulling the tent out.

For example, a 12m x 24m Pole Marquee can be constructed

in 4 – 5 hours using a crew of 3 people! And you only need a

3.5ton vehicle to transport the Marquee.

We can train you and your team to construct and maintain

your Marquee at our works address (near Junction 6, M25).

Poles, Pegs, Ropes & FinialsWe use natural and sustainable materials to enhance the

traditional aspect of our marquees.

Traditional Pole Marquee – King Poles are treated

Scandanvian Pine, wall poles are Redwood. Aluminium

poles are also available.

Tensioned Pole Marquee – Aluminium King Poles with

Wooden Wall Poles are used throughout.

Pegs – 30” mushroom headed iron guy stakes, 15” wooden

wall pegs

Ropes – hempex style, polypropylene or ratchet guys (white

or natural webbing colours)

Finials – range of finials for King or Wall Poles

Traditional Pole Marquees have been familiar throughout the UK

for over 600 years. Our design has been developed and tested on site over the

last 70 years!

Big Top Marquees whether single pole or traditional, our Big tops are

a big hit with festivals and larger functions. 15m (50’) and 18m (60’) spans

available with a range of fabric and colour choices.

Tensioned Pole Marquees sport an attractive scooped ridge line

bringing the traditional shape up to date. No ridge poles are used and the

structure is tensioned using ratchet guys. This style of Marquee has wall poles

at 1.5m or 2m spacings (unlike Traditional Pole’s which are 1m), making the

space around the Marquee relatively free of obstructions.

Linings. Pole Marquees are so attractive some clients prefer them unlined.

For those who require linings we offer flat or pleated wall linings, valances,

flashes and drapes as well as King Poles covers.

Choice of SizesSpans range from 3.5m to 18m; standard spans are 3.5m, 4.5m, 6m, 9m, 12m,

15m and 18m

• Bay lengths 3m, 4.5m (small marquee only) and 6m (6m+ span).

• Standard Eave Height is 2.2m, but we offer a wide range.

Custom Made We have undertaken a number of Custom Made Fabric

Structures over the years. Whether you need tents for posh camping

(glamping), a digital funfair, courtyard canopy or theatre project; we can help!

We work with our customers on the design, prototyping and manufacture of

their commission. We create a CAD drawing with full specification when

designing and manufacturing bespoke Fabric Structures.

With our wealth of experience in the Industry we are well positioned to advise

on all aspects of Marquee construction and maintenance such as risk

assessments, resource requirements and industry bodies.
