Megan Williams Job roles:Typography and identMise-en-sceneSkill set:Megan is a very artistic person and has a liking to the thriller genre. Therefore playing hand in hand with knowing what fits well with the genre we can trust her to do the right thing with both the typography and Mise-en-scene for our opening.

Sub-genre-conventions

We have gone with the sub-genre of a spy thriller. We have done this because it will be easy to recreate.

Ident

• Our ident is going to be a black profile of a head with bronze cogs inside to represent the mind working and creating fantasy worlds. In replacement of the cogs we used the letters DMLN to represent the initials of our names.

• We have chosen this font for our title because of the cross hairs within the ‘o’. This links into the spy thriller because its associated with a gun.

Mise-en-sceneWe are planning on using a air rifle provided by Dario for the Protagonists weapon of choice, we may also use a toy gun painted black for the Antagonist to have. Both characters will be wearing similar colours so we can create enigmas to who is actually the bad guy in this part of the scene, one will wear a suit and one will wear casual clothes. The location is going to be a very woodland area with certain machinery. There will be limited makeup as we want the scene to be subtle and simplistic so there will not be to much blood. We also need the lighting to be broad daylight. The car we plan on using is a Maserati Gran Tursimo.

Shot listWe plan on using a variety of shots a variety of shots to make our frames and composition effective as possible. However we have 6 main shots we really want to emphasise in our production. We were majorly influenced by the opening of ‘Quantum of Solace’ and ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’.

Audience

• Target audience are 15-45 year olds.• We feel this age range enjoy watching thrillers,

also the people we spoke to on our Vox pop all were in this age bracket.

• We are trying to go for the demographics of C1 all the way up to A. As we believe you need a strong education for the stronger and more complicated storylines.

Risk Assessment

Being in a woodland are there are many potential hazards we should be careful of.Big problems could be leaves that we could slip on (I’m sure we wont) and the fact we are in a isolated woodland area.

Actors

• Looking at our actors profiles we have chosen to use Dario and Lui as our prime actors because we felt that they had a strong performance.

• We have chosen Lui to be our Spy as he looked very professional during his part.

• We have chosen Dario to be our victim as he also looked professional however showed emotion to this part which would be well for a victim that will be a target.

Production schedule

• We plan to film on Thursday 12th of November in temple wood.

• We aim to film from 9:30 to 5:30. This is when hopefully the sun will be at its brightest, we need light to play a factor so that the shots don’t come out to dark.
