Last week, this week, and for several more weeks we celebrate First Holy Communion for the children of our parish who were not able to celebrate the sacrament in the Spring as we had planned. We ask God to bless our First Communicants and their families on this happy day. First Holy Communion is one of the happiest days in the life of the parish as we celebrate with young people coming forward to receive the Body and Blood of Christ in Holy Communion. This year, we will celebrate the Sacrament for young people over several Saturday mornings.

A special word of thanks goes to Mrs. Paula White and Ms. Cris na Cas llo for all of their faithful work in preparing the children for the sacrament. Thanks too, Mrs. Josephine Lyons for all that you do to keep our Faith Forma on Program organized. And thanks always to Ms. Trish Filiaci for giving much devoted a en on to our Faith Forma on young people. I want to say a special word of thanks to parents for bringing your children to this day. God bless you all.

Congratula ons to the young people who were confirmed each week at Sunday Mass. It was such an encouragement and joy to pray with them and to celebrate the Eucharist with them as they receive the gi s of the Holy Spirit. Thanks to parents and sponsors for bringing them to this day. Thanks to Mrs. Trish Filiaci for doing so much to coordinate our faith forma on program and to accompany our young people on their journey of faith. Last week marked the conclusion of the celebra on of Confirma on at Sunday Mass. It has been a great privilege and honor to confirm so many of the young people of our parish. We are all proud of you. Thank you to all the young people of our parish who prepared so faithfully and well to receive the gi s of the Holy Spirit in Confirma on.

Those who are between 60-65 years of age and older who have underlying medical condi ons are discouraged from a ending Mass at this me just for the me-being. Addi onally, only the central set of doors will be open at the front of the church and the elevator for those who require its use. The restrooms will only be available upon request. L U According to the Associated Press Style Sheet, “Livestream” is now officially one word. Livestreaming is now a part of our everyday lives. The system for livestreaming is in – you may no ce the camera at the back of the church above the center doors. Livestreaming with our new system began several weeks ago. Most people seemed well pleased with the results. Thank you so much for your generosity in support of this important innova on for our parish which will be put to good use long into the future. If you would like to contribute toward this new system, please contact Mrs. Cuccinelli at the office, extension 11. In these challenging days your support of our parish family has never wavered and I know that God’s blessing will return to you one hundred fold.

A F M Many have commented that they missed the beau ful flowers of Easter and First Holy Communion and Confirma on Season; the flowers at the altar add beauty to the liturgy and sing of the beauty of God’s crea on for us. ATTENTION PARENTS! FAITH FORMATION REGISTRATION

Please visit our website https://holyangelsrc.org/ to view a recently created FAITH FORMATION link. Under it you will find information related to our curriculum this year, program guidelines and expectations, parent resources and registration for the upcoming year! Registration should be completed online and submitted electronically, along with payment. If you have more than one child to register, EACH CHILD MUST BE REGISTERED SEPARATELY, so the fee is divided when you submit payment for each child. For example the total fee for 2 children is $135 which will be $67.50 per child, when registering each separately. If you have 3 children to register, the total is $175, which will be $58.50 per child when you register each separately.

It will certainly be a Faith Formation year unlike any we have ever encountered, but I am confident that we will continue to partner together to ensure your children continue to learn the important tenets of our Catholic Faith, and most importantly meaningfully apply the teachings and example of Jesus Christ in their development of a relationship with God.

Dear Parents:

You and your families are in my prayers as we all prepare to begin a new school year. I pray that the year ahead will be a time of peace and good health for you and your families. The new year will require both a willingness to experiment with new models of learning and patience.

As our parish makes the transition to on-line learning for our faith formation program, we need to be as prepared as possible. The final date for faith formation, including First Eucharist and Confirmation, is September 5, 2020. New registrations will not be accepted after that date. Please understand that in light of our new program it is not possible to add additional students following that date.
