Our Lady of Mercy Happenings
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is
Thursday, May 17 and will open after
the 8:00 am Mass and close at 6:30 pm
with evening prayer and Benediction.
Please take a moment to stop in the
Church during adoration and spend
some time in prayer. This will be the last Adoration Day
until September.
CONFIRMATION is Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
NEW BEGINNINGS is a social support group open to
both men and women who have lost a loved one. We
will meet for lunch on Wednesday, May 9th at 11:30am
at Stone’s Restaurant at 6120 Buffalo Road, Churchville
(Rt.33E). Please call Norma Kelly at 494-0301 by
Monday, May 7th to make a reservation.
THE DEACON’S CLOSET: The
purpose of this ministry is to assist those
who cannot afford medically needed
equipment to assist with in home care
with items such as wheelchairs, canes,
walkers, commodes, etc. If you need
the use of items, please call 585-813-3588. There is no
charge for the use of equipment.
OATKA FESTIVAL: Mark
your calendars for the Oatka
Festival on July 14 & 15. We
will have our Waffle Booth again
this year and are looking for volunteers! We need
volunteers at the event and are especially looking for
others willing to prepare for that weekend. If you are
willing to help out, please contact the parish office.
St. Brigid’s Happenings
SHARE A YARN will meet Monday, May 7th at
7:00pm. This will be our final regular meeting before our
picnic in June and our break for summer.
RECYCLED TEENS: Our next event will be Thursday,
May 17th beginning with Mass at 9:00am followed by a
short meeting. Our speaker is Jill Smith who will speak
about Breast Cancer. Lunch is to be at Stone’s
Restaurant in Churchville.
THE HOLY ROSARY is recited a half hour before each
weekend Mass. Saturday Rosary begins at 3:30pm.
Sunday Rosary is recited at 8:30am. Please join your
fellow parishioners in praying the Rosary.
PRAYER MINISTRY: Anyone is welcome to contact
the St. Brigid Prayer Tree. If you have prayer requests,
please feel free to call Marian Peck 548-2635 or Cheri
Sheridan 748-7248.

The Pre-K class at Love Bugs Preschool went on a field
trip to Mickel's Nickels to learn about recycling this
week. The class had a wonderful time with Genny, Castle
and Boston. Miss Joan was so generous, the children each
received a reusable backpack, a new green shirt and some
delicious treats to eat. It was the best Earth Day ever.
