Dear family,I pray you are all having a blessed week. Of course, later this week we all are invited to join in the celebraon of our Pueblo’s patron, St. Jerome. I invite all of our parishioners to join in prayerful solidarity with our Pueblo parishioners for their wellbeing, strong faith and healthy families. This feast only comes once a year, so let’s celebrate a culture that has enriched us all and pray for the needs of their people. In today’s readings we are firmly reminded, as we should be every now and then, that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not ours. Usually when we consider God’s wisdom, I think we view Him as being infinitely smarter than us. By no means is this view erroneous, but it is limited. In today’s Gospel, God reveals that even the most basic tenets of common sense and business pracces are out the window when we consider God’s wisdom. Using the image of an employer, Jesus teaches us that He may at mes seem careless or even unjust as he invites “workers” into His “fields” unl late in the day and pays them the same wage as those who have labored all day. However, He remains true to his word with each of the workers and solemnly reminds the disgruntled employees that He is free to do as He wishes with His own money. How o+en do we queson God’s ways? In what ways do we inhibit His mercy or grace by liming it to our own reckoning? Let us be open, instead, friends to a God who is so much bigger than us. If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts. In His joy, Reverend Father Daniel J. Guerrez

ARE YOU CERTIFIED?Everyone who either volunteers or is employed by the Church is required to take the Abuse Awareness Training. This is not an

opon and the Archdiocese makes sure we are up to date. If you volunteer in anyway with the parish on a regular basis, you must take this class. We will be offering a class on October 7th from

10am to 1pm at St. Joseph’s Hall. You may also take the class online at www.virtus.org

Let’s make a commitment to keep our children safe!

Attention all mayordomos!

Father is calling a mandatory meeting of all of those who are currently serving as mayordomos either on a regular rotation at the main church or those who

maintain our capillas. Wednesday, September 27th @ 6:30pm

St. Joseph’s HallIt is important we all communicate in order for us stay unified as a parish. Please make yourself available for this meeting where some important

announcements will be made.

St. Jerome Feast DayLet us come together to give thanks for the blessings we have received as we celebrate the principle feast day of our Pueblo

parishioners. Solemn Vespers will be prayed at 6:00pm on Friday the 29th and Solemn High Mass will be celebrated on the 30th at

6:30am. Also, join the Pueblo community for the annual foot races and the great feast which is follow at many homes. St. Jerome,

pray for us!

Interested in Being an Altar Server?Recently we have had several inquiries into what is required to become an altar server. If your child is interested in serving the

parish and God in this way, please call the parish office to set up a personal training session, we are flexible with the availability of trainings and would love to include your child among our servers. Children interested must be receiving their First Holy Communion

this coming year or already have received the Sacrament. Adults too are welcome to serve. Our parish deserves to experience God’s liturgy done well and you or your child can help in that. Please call the office for informa(on.
