Safety through protection

Technical description:Conventional paternosters require one or moresprockets in the lower machine area for chaindeflection. These sprockets present a source ofdanger, as squeezing and cutting points still developbetween the chain and sprocket in spite of beingcovered.

Instead of sprockets, the SIKU utilises a continuousguide enclosure made of steel within which the chain isinevitably deflected. Sprockets and along with themsqueezing and cutting points are eliminated. Thisprevents the risk of being caught in the chain. In theuser operating area the chain is guided from top tobottom by a protective grating; this offers additionalprotection against the falling out of rolls.
