Who and where we are• Official title: NAVIGATORS

• Bilingual team

• Work from harm reduction perspective considering not only the clients’ addictions needs but also:▫ Mental health▫ Housing▫ Primary care▫ Income support needs

• Located at OWMC with varied locations for walk-in clinics to be determined▫ 1777 Montreal Road

What we do• Screening for “fit-to-service”

• Provide information to potential clients and family members

• Brief/initial assessment to determine where the person should be referred to for appropriate service▫ Residential▫ Day▫ Community

• Referral planning to addictions services and other sectors▫ Not only in Ottawa, but other cities in the province

too

Services we offer• Walk-in clinics where we will provide

information and conduct brief assessments

• Family information regarding addictions services and support services available to them in the community

• One-on-one services where appropriate (literacy or comprehension issues)

• Bridging

•Check-ins with clients and family members

•On-going contact with agencies for new programs and supports in the community
