ADOPTION POLICYClass teacher will adopt all the 30 students of her class.
Children will be observed minutely on daily/weekly/monthly basis by creating curiosity in the child, where by the student will ask many questions, encourage the imaginative skills and enhance the child’s learning power. The class-teacher will interact with the parents fortnightly or as and when the need arises and will discuss the areas of concern.
The educator will maintain all the records of the student in a prescribed format and note down her observations accordingly. At the end of the session the entire record will be handed over to the educator of the next class.

BIRTHDAY POLICY
• The child should distribute éclairs(or similar ones) among
friends and educators
• No birthday parties of students will be held in the class
• No return gifts & birthday gift will be exchanged between
the Educators & the students in the class.
Note : Parent are requested not to exchange any gift or
favours from any of the educators and authorities of the
school.

Code of Conduct for students
Special care is taken to develop in the students, a sense of discipline on the school
premises as well as outside. Therefore, kindly note the following points:-
1. All the students are required to reach the school in time and attend the
morning assembly.
2. Absence without a written request for leave from the parent/guardian is strictly
forbidden. Also, half day leave is not permissible except in an emergency.
3. No student is allowed to leave the school during working hours unless
permitted by the Headmistress on written request of parent/guardian.
4. Cleanliness is expected from all the students. Students must come in their
school uniform dressed neatly to school. Extra change to be put in the school bag
for Nursery students. Their nails must be properly trimmed. Teeth must be
absolutely clean, and their hair must be neatly cut, oiled and combed.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS
Show respect and support for your child, the educators,
and the school.
Do not talk ill about any educator or school authority in
any form.
Have positive attitude towards the school and co-operate
with the teachers towards the betterment of the student.
Support the school’s discipline policy.
Encourage the child to be regular and punctual in
attending the school.
Speaking in English is mandatory in school, encourage the
child to do the same at home as well.
Incase the parents come to pick up their ward personally
or send some one else, an authority letter signed by the
parents is to be submitted at the school reception.

The assessment policy is based on CCE i.e.
Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation which covers
Summative & Formative Assessment.
In tune with the National Policy on education1986/92,
school based Evaluation shall cover both scholastic and
non scholastic aspects of a pupils growth. The academic
year is divided into two Terms.
I Term- June to October.
II Term - November to March.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Formative assessment is a process by a teacher to continuously
monitor student’s progress in academic as well as the activities
through out the year.
It provides a platform for active involvement of students in
their own independent learning through dictation, class tests,
picture talks, projects, home assignments and activities.
Example:
Activity Blue Day celebration can be related to academics whereby
the students perform the water cycle skit which creates the
atmosphere and grabs the students interest. Activities and
academics go hand in hand for the students overall development.
Note: The parents will also be intimated through the navigator about the class
test( assessment).

ACTIVITIES
Pre-primary activities are carried out to develop the physical , social, mental and psychological development of the tiny tots of AUS.Example:- Festivals and celebrations, Field visits and excursions, Competitions etc are conducted, throughout the year.Where by a child is given an opportunity to observe, listen, speak and act. To make a strong foundation, for his or her intelligence.

SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT
A graded written exam will be conducted out at the end of
the term and the time table for the same is given on page
no. 26 of the school Navigator.
Syllabus for the first term will be given to the parents .
Planned and continuous revision will be taken by the
Educator before the assessment.( Parents participation is
appreciated)

•In some cases, if the Medical attention is
required specifically please keep the
authorities of the school informed at all times
with doctor's prescription attached .
HEALTH ISSUES
•No students should attend school if he/she is
suffering with serious or contagious disease.
They will be allowed to attend the school
again when a medical certificate is produced.

grievance regarding administration and transport through e-mail or written form.

The A.O. will be responsible for taking the feedback and the proper closure from

The parents can mail directly to the chairman in case of gross
misconduct
Email link is available on the website of the school.
The parents will not communicate directly with any educators during
the school hours .
In case the parents wants to collect the ward from the school during
the school hours he/ she has to wait at the entrance lounge till the
security informs the coordinators .( Escort card is mandatory )
The coordinators will make further arrangements to send the ward
home.
The parents are not supposed to enter the corridors during school
hours.

Please encourage and converse with your
child in English at home.

health or any medication which the child is

Procedure of electing a P.E.A members
•Interested parents to give their nominations to the class
educators immediately after the presentation .
•Parents to vote for the nominated candidates contesting for the
P.E.A.
•Every parent can vote only for one nominated candidate .
•The candidate with the maximum votes will be declared as the
P.E.A member of the academic year 2013-14
•Parents who have already been the members of PEA in the
previous years cannot be nominated.
