RECONNECTING TO GOD Lynn Schindler
Lord, like Balaam, we have sinned because we didn’t recognize your voice. Balaam was headed in the wrong direction and so often we pursue our own selfish ambitions. Through Gabriel who caused the donkey to speak, we ask you to make your voice known to us so that we might bear your message to the world. Forgive us and coach us to bear the light when all other lights go out. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

OPERATION ELF HELP
LESSONS AND CAROLS
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of
worship celebrating the birth of Jesus. The story of the
fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the
birth of Jesus is told in nine Bible readings from Genesis,
The Prophetic Books, and the Gospels, interspersed with
the singing of Christmas carols. Invite your family and
friends to join us for this special service on Sunday,
December 14th during the 10:30am worship hour.
CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS SERVICE
This year, our Christmas Eve Children's Service
will be one of a kind! We are going to step back in
time with the angels to when they found out about the
birth of Jesus and watch it with them as it unfolds
before their eyes. MOST children will be angels, but
we do have a few of the traditional parts to cast. Con-
tact Shari at [email protected] with any
questions.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL We are offering a DVD Study from Dr. Rick Warren on why
we celebrate Christmas and how it can change our lives
forever. These 3 sessions from the Gospel of Luke will help
us better understand the 3 purposes of Christmas announced
by the angel at the birth of Jesus. 1. Christmas Is a Time for
Celebration 2. Christmas Is a Time for Salvation 3. Christmas
Is a Time for Reconciliation. This 3 week series will begin at
9:00am on Sunday December 7th in Room One. Contact
Cathy Swann for information at [email protected].
Ho! Ho! Ho! Its time for the Annual Christmas
Party. Friday, December 12 from 6 - 9 pm we will
gather for a pot luck & Chinese gift exchange. Please sign
up to bring an appetizer, meat/main dish, salad, vegetable,
or dessert to share. Also bring a wrapped $10 gift per
person or a couple may share a gift if they desire. Child
care will be provided from 7 - 9 pm. The more the merrier
so invite a friend. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

OPPORTUNITIES We are looking for volunteers to serve:
We are in need of a Bus Driver for Sunday Morning. If you are interested call the church office at 863-646-3121.
Our Youth Director, Ashley Musick, is looking for a volunteer professional autocorrect corrector for those embarrassing and sometimes hilarious autocorrect fails. In a ministry where text messaging is the medium for relevant communication, Ashley needs your help! Applicants should have an upper to middle spelling ability and for an added bonus, the willingness to spin Ashley in her chair. Only serious applications will be considered.
Children's Ministries is in need of $500 to use towards materials, music, costum-ing, and sets for our Children's Christmas Eve Service.
MISSION OF THE MONTH Again this year you have an opportunity to choose the name of a child in need and buy gifts for them from their wish list. The names are provided by Catholic Charities. PCH also provides Christmas dinner fixings to the chil-dren’s families using 3-cents a meal offering funds. Names and wish lists can be picked up in the Narthex before and after service. Gifts will be due back by December 14th.
Welcome
