VBS WORK-BEE We will be having a VBS work-bee on Wednesday, May 17 from 9:30-11:30 am. Anyone looking to help prep for VBS is welcome to join us.

She Has a Name—Film at Woody Nook
On Tuesday, May 23rd at 7:30pm at Woody Nook, Magdalene House will be showing the film, She Has a Name—Shedding Light on the Global Sex Trade. Tickets are available at the church office. All funds will go to support Magdalene House, a home of recovery for people exploited by human trafficking. Be advised that the subject matter of the film may not be appropriate for all audiences.

our counsellor team for your work and, last but not least, to our parents and GEMS for your commitment throughout our 2016/17 season! Campout will be June 2 - 4 at the Lacombe Legion Sunset Campground.

Though our regular meetings are over, we still have a couple of events coming up. The Central Alberta
Camp-out from June 2-4 and of course the International Camporee in July.

Canola Crop—Support an Acre or Two
There are many costs with growing a crop, and we are looking to the congregation to help with this. For $200 an acre donation you can see your money grow. If you would like to be a part of the fundraiser, please place your donation in the building fund mail box (located on North wall in Church office) or Peter Den Oudsten’s mail box, with your cheques made out to Woody Nook CRC, designated to the crop project. VBS Supplies Needed The VBS crew is looking for some of your recyclables! In order for the kids to make some fun crafts we are in need of a few items: • 2L pop bottles (100) • paper towel rolls (100) • cardboard (lots)--bigger chunks would be great!
• we could also use donations of rope (6-10mm thick) 12 inches • silver spray paint

Central Alberta Christian High School will be having their Annual Spring
Society meeting on Thursday, May 18th at 7:30 pm at the school. The
2017-2018 budget will be presented and new board members will be
elected. Of special interest will be the discussion on the proposed
Industrial Arts program which will address the recommendations from the
Industrial Education Committee, the examination of potential building
plans and costs, and the board’s presentation on “moving forward” plans. Job Opening at Lacombe Christian School

YU-Turn “Parents” Needed:
HELP WANTED! Central Alberta Youth Unlimited/YFC is looking for an individual or couple to serve as a House Parents in the YU-Turn Home in Lacombe. Volunteers would help provide a daily meal, build relationships, and care for the young men in the home, while receiving room and board for free. We are looking to fill this position by July 31st, so please prayerfully consider this opportunity to help shape the young men of Central Alberta!
