*PRAYER OF INVOCATION (Unison) Almighty God, by the power of your Spirit roll away the stone and reveal to us the Word of Life. Amen. A TIME WITH ALL GOD’S CHILDREN PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison) Lord Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit we have been raised from the waters of baptism to share in your glorious resurrection. Yet we have not lived as Easter people. We are unsure of your promise, confused about your will, and afraid in the face of danger. Call us by name, risen Lord, that we may know you with confidence. Whenever we are tempted to fear death, give us courage to confess your Easter victory. Whenever we are distracted by petty conflicts, keep our minds on your reconciling love. Whenever we are overwhelmed by the power of evil, reveal again to us your triumph over the destructive powers of oppression. Forgive us our sin and let our lives be a testimony to your salvation.

A moment for silent prayer ASSURANCE OF PARDON *GLORIA PATRI (Unison) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Psalm 118 (vv. 1 – 2, 14 – 24)

O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;

his steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say,

“His steadfast love endures forever.” The LORD is my strength and my might;

he has become my salvation. There are glad songs of victory in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly;

the right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.”

I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD.

The LORD has punished me severely, but he did not give me over to death.

Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD.

This is the gate of the LORD;

the righteous shall enter through it. I thank you that you have answered me

and have become my salvation. The stone that the builders rejected

has become the chief cornerstone. This is the LORD’s doing;

it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day that the LORD has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Announcements Bible Study Returns! (via Zoom) Join us Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am for a lively discussion on Bible readings from the Revised Common Lectionary. No experience necessary. All opinions welcome. Contact Pastor Tim for a Zoom invitation. No Neighbor Left Behind Our next No Neighbor Left Behind meal is scheduled for Friday, April 24th. The menu includes tomato meat sauce with macaroni, vegetables, fruit and a roll. This essential ministry is becoming even more important in the midst of the current pandemic. As usual, we’ll gather at the Main Street Church at 2:00 pm on the 24th to package meals for delivery to families along our routes, with extra servings set aside for a community meal at our Sedgwick distribution center. Many thanks to all who contribute time, talent, food, and love to this ongoing ministry. Together, we are working to eliminate food insecurity on the Blue Hill peninsula, one delicious meal at a time. If you would like to participate or contribute to the needs of this meal please contact: Ruth Anne Vagt 326-9244 On Our Prayer Lists In the work of our church, we continue to pray for the sick and afflicted in our congregation and in our community:
