OVERVIEW

Oracle HCM Cloud release documents are delivered in five functional groupings:

Suggested Reading for all HCM Products:

• HCM Cloud Common Features (This document pertains to all HCM applications. It is the base human resource information for all products and HCM Tools.)

• Global Human Resources Cloud (Global Human Resources contains the base application in which other application use for common data such as workforce structures and person information. Regardless of what products you have implemented you may want to see the new features for Global Human Resources that could impact your products.)

NOTE: Not all Global Human Resource features are available for the base Talent and Compensation stand alone applications.

Optional Reading for HCM Products (Depending on what products are in your cloud service):

Features under this section are available to all talent applications.

APPROVAL AND FYI NOTIFICATION PERSONALIZATION

Personalize talent notifications using the Oracle Page Composer. You can selectively show and hide various components of the notification, including fields, labels and regions. You can edit labels, color, and the page layout, as well as add custom text and external links to the page.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

LEARNING CLOUD

Oracle Learning Cloud enables you to make a transformational shift in learning delivery. Subject matter experts in your organization can easily publish videos and assemble tutorials to deliver on-demand and social learning. Collaboration features encourage continuous community feedback.

LEARNING COMMUNITIES

Create and join top-down or collaborative learning communities to bring together groups of learners around a specific business objective. For example, you can create communities for Sales Training for 2016, New Hire Training or other community topics. Community members can recommend learning items to other members and collaborate socially within the community. Communities can be public, restricted or secret. You can setup communities to enable members to contribute learning items or restrict the contribution to only community managers.

REAL-TIME REPORTS

Use the Learning subject areas to report on learning assignments and create compliance-oriented reports. Additionally, you can create reports for learning engagement data related to videos and tutorials.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Oracle Fusion Career Development provides tools for workers and managers to manage their career interests and development plan. These tools include:

• Recommendations on roles based on workers’ qualifications

• Comparisons to target roles and required development needs for workers

• Management of roles of interest to the worker

• Comprehensive development plan for workers to establish development goals and manage development progress

ENHANCED USER INTERFACE FOR THE EXPLORE ROLES TILE

Recommend roles using the new enhanced pages for the Explore Roles tile. Use the Explore Roles tile to view:

• Roles that were recommended to workers by their managers and HR

• Roles that best match a worker’s competency levels and other talent profile attributes

NEW CAREERS OF INTEREST TILE

Help workers to view their careers of interest in the new Careers of Interest tile. Workers can now use this tile to review or remove roles added to their Careers of Interest list.

ENHANCED ROLE PAGE

Improve the user experience with the enhanced role page. Help managers and workers to identify role requirements, view potential competency gaps, and add goals to address any gaps. Help managers to recommend the role to a report. Help workers to add the role to the careers of interest list and identify colleagues in the role to mark them as favorites for future interactions.

ENHANCED ROLE SEARCH CRITERIA

Expand the search results for roles using the enhanced search criteria in the Explore Roles tile. You can now enter any text in the search box, and view all the roles with that text in their title.

PROFILE MANAGEMENT

Oracle Fusion Profile Management provides a common foundation for the talent suite of products and other Oracle Cloud applications to retrieve, insert, and update talent profile information. Profile Management also supports the HR specialists, line managers, matrix managers, and employees in performing critical HR talent functions. Managing people and job profiles, career planning functions, managing, and tracking talent data can be also done through Profile Management.

ATTACHMENT SUPPORT FOR HCM DATA LOADER

Upload attachments such as resumes or documents when uploading person profile information using HCM Data Loader.

TALENT MANAGEMENT TRANSACTIONAL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence is a real time, self-service reporting solution offered to all Oracle Cloud application users to create ad hoc reports and analyze them for daily decision-making. Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence provides human resources managers and specialists, business executives, and line managers the critical workforce information to analyze workforce costs, staffing, compensation, performance management, talent management, succession planning, and employee benefits.

ENHANCEMENTS FOR LEARNING

NEW SUBJECT AREA FOR WORKFORCE LEARNING: WORKFORCE LEARNING REAL TIME

Streamline reporting on learning activities using a new subject area called Workforce Learning – Workforce Learning. This new subject area reports on learning events, items, item owners, and consumers. You can report on count of events, duration of learning items, and count of workers who completed the learning item assigned to them, status of learning and so on.

ENHANCEMENTS FOR TALENT MANAGEMENT

NEW SUBJECT AREA FOR WORKFORCE TALENT REVIEW: TALENT REVIEW TASKS REAL TIME

Create enhanced reports on tasks associated with talent review meetings with the new Workforce Talent Review - Talent Review Tasks Real Time subject area. Use the new task details, owners, assignees, and associated worker subject area dimensions to build more detailed reports about Talent Review meetings. You can create reports to track tasks by owner or task progress, for example.

ENHANCED SUBJECT AREA: GOAL ALIGNMENTS REAL TIME

Enhance Goal Alignment Details with the Performance Goal dimension which allow cross subject area query with other subject areas that have the Performance Goal dimension.

ENHANCED SUBJECT AREA: DEVELOPMENT GOAL OVERVIEW REAL TIME

Enhance your ability to report on the development goals with additional information of one or multiple intents associated with the goals in the Workforce Career Development - Development Goal Overview Real Time subject area.

ENHANCED SUBJECT AREA: PERFORMANCE TASK STATUS

Report on Performance Tasks subject area that has been enhanced with additional attributes to report on the ‘bypass’ or ‘reset’ done on the performance document tasks by the participants in the performance evaluation.

ENHANCED SUBJECT AREA: PERSON PROFILE

Expand employee profile reporting using the new Previous Employment, Technical Post Details, and Talent Score dimensions in the Person Profile Real Time subject area. Use the Previous Employment dimension to report on an employee’s previous employer, positions, supervisors, achievements, and employment duration. Use the Technical Post Details dimension to report on an employee’s technical posts, granting level and authority, technical level, and expiry date for localizations (particularly China localizations). Use the Talent Scores dimension to report on an employee’s talent scores. Talent scores can come from a talent review meeting for the employee or from the employee’s profile.

In addition, Risk of Loss, Licenses and Certifications, and Special Projects dimensions in the Person Profile Real Time subject area were enhanced to include new attributes. Use the Licenses and Certifications dimension to now include information about the training completed by an employee for a license and certification together with the establishment and any applicable restrictions. Use the Risk of Loss dimension to include information about the departure reason and estimated number of months remaining for an employee. Use the Special Projects dimension to include information about the contact name for a special project.

ENHANCED SUBJECT AREA: MODEL PROFILE

Report on risks to an organization by identifying the critical jobs and positions with the new dimension added to the Model Profile Real Time subject area.

NEW DIMENSION: PERFORMANCE DOCUMENT PARTICIPANT

Enhance reporting on performance tasks with the new dimension that determines the person or role associated with each task. A new dimension called Performance Document Participant area is added to the Performance Tasks Real Time subject area. This new dimension was already included in the Performance Rating subject area.

NEW DIMENSION: CRITICALITY

Expand employee profile reporting using the new Criticality dimension in the Workforce Profiles -Model Profiles Real Time subject area. Using this dimension, you can now review risks to an organization by identifying the critical jobs and positions.

NEW DIMENSION: REVIEW PERIOD

Streamline integrated reporting on performance and goals using the new time dimension called Review Period. This is added to the Performance and Goals subject areas. With this new dimension, you can filter on performance documents and worker goals based on specific business periods.

NEW SAMPLE ANALYSES FOR TALENT

Streamline building analysis by using the following new sample Talent Management analyses now available:

• Performance Document Created vs Not Created: Workers who have created their performance appraisal documents and those who have not for the selected year and document period name.

• Performance Document Rating Distribution: Distribution of workers by ratings for the selected performance document period name. Includes both estimated and actual ratings distribution.

• Percent of Performance Document by Status: Distribution of performance document by various statuses analyzed by dimensions country, department and business unit.

• Performance Goals Created vs Not Created: Workers who have created performance goals for the selected year, as well as those who have not.

• Development Goals Created vs Not Created: Workers who created development goals for the selected year, as well as those who have not.

• Profile KPI & Risk of Loss Metric: Key metrics related to worker profiles.

• Profile Summary: Count of various profile information such as degrees, languages, competencies, and so on.

• Career Preference Summary: Count of employees by various readiness stages for their next career move.

• Employee Competency Summary: Count of employees by various competencies and their expertise.

• Succession Plan KPI: Key metrics related to succession plans.

• Succession Plans Candidates by Readiness: Count of employees in various readiness statuses for their selected succession plans.

• Succession Plans Candidates at High Risk of Loss: Count of employees in various succession plans and the corresponding count and percentage of employees at high risk of loss.
