What isTAACCCT?

• A U.S. Department of Labor grant that is being used to

expand capacity of community colleges to meet needs of

local employers

• Working with the local Montgomery County CareerLink

and Workforce Investment Board

• Montgomery County Community College is part of a

consortium of 14 Pennsylvania community colleges

Health Information Technologist

The Health Information Technologist program:

• Is a part-time evening program for individuals who have at least one year of information technology experience.

• Offers a blend of healthcare-related training and IT skills while preparing students to take the exams for recognized IT industry certifications.

• Will include topics such as medical terminology, networking, server administration and project management.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible for the program, you must:

• Have an Associate Degree and/or completion of technical courses with at least 1 year of relevant IT experience

• Obtain a certain reading & math level

• Commit to attendance policies and program requirements

Medical Billing and Coding

• Students will learn practical applications of Medical Terminology, CPT, ICD-9 and 10 and basic claims processing for medical insurance and third party reimbursements .

• Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from MCCC and will be eligible to sit for AAPC Certified Professional Coder certification exam.

• Students will be provided the support of a Career Coach which includes job placement assistance.

Wastewater

• This program is certified by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protection.

• Examples of topics covered include Fundamentals of Wastewater, Collection Systems, Chemical Feed Systems and General Safety.

• The program includes 10-hours of test prep for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protection exam.

• Obtain a certain reading & math level

• Commit to attendance policies and program requirements

Warehouse and Logistics

• This program prepares participants to be frontline material-handling workers in supply chain logistics.

• Students will learn about warehouse and logistics environment, safety and quality control principals and more.

• At the end of the program students will be able to sit for three industry recognized certifications and OSHA certification.
