Open Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and choose “Create Session” from either of the two areas on the screen.

Event Details

• Click on the arrow next to Event Details to expand the options

• Add a title at the top (Weekly Classroom Sessions)

• Uncheck Guest Access to limit the class to students only

• Under Event Details set the start date, end date, & time of the first meeting.

• Check off the option to repeat session

• Choose Repeat Weekly• Choose Every Week• Select the days of the week

that the class will occur• Set the end date to the last

classroom session • Set Early Entry to 15 min

before start time

Session Setting

• Click the arrow to expand the session setting.

• Leave Default Attendee Role onParticipant

• Be sure to check the box to Allow recording downloads

• Under Participants can: uncheck the options for Share video and Draw on whiteboard and files

• Leave the option to Allow attendees to join the session using a telephone checked

• The rest of the options for Private Chat and Large scale sessions can be left unchecked.

Attendance Reporting

• Click arrow to expand theAttendance Reportingoptions

• Set the parameters that you would like to use or leave the defaults in place.

• When finished, Click onSave to save the sessionsettings.
