Rustic Apple Tart

Crust • 1-1/2 cups Bob’s Red Mill

Almond Meal Flour • 3 Tbsp. HT Butter • 3 Tbsp. HT Sugar Add almond flour and sugar to a me-dium bowl. Melt butter and pour into the almond mixture. Mix until well combined and all ingredients are incorporated and the dough forms a moist ball in your hands. Roll into roughly a 14-inch circle.

Filling• 1 cup Holland House

White Cooking Wine• 1 cup brewed Stash Chai Tea• 1/3 cup sugar plus 2 Tbsp., reserved• 4 cups apples, peeled, cored, and

sliced thin• 2 Tbsp. HT CornstarchCombine wine, tea, and 1/3 cup sugar in a small saucepan and heat gently until sugar is dissolved. Bring to just a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until re-duced by half. In a large bowl, combine wine mixture and apple slices. Turn to coat. In a small bowl, combine remain-ing sugar and cornstarch. Add to the fruit mixture and turn well to coat. Place the fruit and sauce on the rolled out crust, leaving room at the edges for folding. Arrange slices in a decorative fashion or allow to fall naturally. Fold sides up to about an inch into the tart. Bake in center of over for twenty min-utes at 400°, watching carefully. Reduce heat to 350° and bake an additional fif-teen minutes until crust is golden brown and apple slices are soft.

Holiday StapleApple Sage Stuffing

• 6 Tbsp. HT Unsalted Butter

• 1 onion, chopped

• 3 celery ribs, chopped

• 3 large green apples, peeled, seeded, and diced

• 10 cups stale bread, cubed

• 3 cups Harris Teeter Organics Chicken Broth

• 1 Tbsp. Morton & Bassett Organic Sage

• Morton & Bassett Coarse Ground Black Pepper and salt to taste

Preheat the oven to 350°. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and apple and cook until the onion is soft and fragrant and the apples are just begin-ing to soften, about ten minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Coat a large baking dish with non-stick spray. Add the vegetable and apple mixture and bread to the baking dish and stir to combine. Add the chicken stock and sage. Stir again to combine well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake uncovered for a half hour or until heated through and crisp on top.
