research.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE: Established in the year 2001, the sprawling five
acre campus with a built up area of 26395 sq. m. Is located at Agarpara, in the outskirts of the North Kolkata. It is also the Centre for School of Management Studies Narula Institute of Technology. At present 2846 students (2098 male and 748 female). A faculty comprising 172 Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors assist students with State of Art equipment. The campus has adequate class rooms, 400 seats seminar hall, 66 laboratories, 849 computers with Leased Line and Wi-Fi connectivity and a library with over 65,504 books and 73 journals, 242 e-journals (National & International). Hostels accommodation is available for all aspirants.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: Department was established in the year 2001.
At present 534 students (377 male and 157 female). A faculty comprising 22 Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors assist students with State of Art equipment. The department has adequate class rooms, 6 laboratories (1 Research Lab), and 192 computers with Leased Line and Wi-Fi connectivity and a departmental library with over 1,000 books and 20 projects and journals. The department is also comprises with B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.
ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION: The course is open to faculty members of
Engineering colleges, research Institutes and University across India. The industry persons, research scholars and students are also most welcome.The number of seats is limited, and selection of the candidates is solely decided by the department.

Brief Resume of Prof. Paramartha Dutta:
Prof. Paramartha Dutta did his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from the Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur in 2005. He has served in the capacity of research personnel in various projects funded by Govt. of India, which include Defence Research and Development Organization, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta etc. Prof. Dutta is now a Professor in the Department of Computer and system Sciences of the Visva Bharati University, West Bengal, India. He has coauthored four books and has also one edited book to his credit. He has published about hundred papers in various journals and conference proceedings, both international and national. Presently, he is supervising four students for their Ph. D programme registered with Visva Bharati University and West Bengal University of Technology.
Brief Resume of Prof. Shyamal Kumar Das Mandal : Prof. Shyamal Kumar Das Mandal did his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2007. Prof. Das Mandal is now a Professor in the Centre for Educational Technology Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. He was awarded National award of Young IT Professional in 2003, by Computer Society of India (CSI). He was also awarded National award of “TI DSP Challenge” in 1997, Awarded by Texas Instruments (TI), India and Fellow ofJapan Society for the Promotion of Science(2010). His research Interest is Speech and Signal Processing, Pedagogy and Outcome based education. He has published several papers in various journals and conference proceedings, both international and national reputes.
Brief Resume of Prof. Anupam Basu: Prof. Anupam Basu did his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Currently, he is Chairman Center for Educational Technology, & Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His research interest includes Natural Interface Design &Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Modeling , Natural Language Processing , Communication and Education Tools for the Physically and many more. He has published more than hundred papers in various journals and conference proceedings, both international and national reputes.
