Optimistic Spark Center’s mission is to ignite professionals with a SPARK model and its 12 optimistic mindset competencies and hands-on tools by tapping on positive psychology approach, experiential learning and solution focused therapy to enable managers and leaders live with optimism at home and work life. Our methodology based on teachings of Yasser Shaker, Optimistic Spark 2 books and Optimistic SPARK accredited model from Academic Accreditation of North America and ongoing educational newsletter. Our program has a diverse workshops title, which covers different needs for all job levels and functions.

This unique Optimistic Spark program incorporates elements of Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Intelligence, Neurology, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It reflects findings from Yasser’s ongoing research into the science behind a positive mindset. Brick by Brick Game

Scenario: There are 12 teams/ departments working together to secure this $ 1 million deal, competing against other companies in the market. Each

of the 2 rounds your team should build the assigned shape and support other teams “if possible” to complete their products. To build the assigned

design you must “Sift/ pile up, build brick by brick without any gluing materials and the shape to stand free without objects or human support.

Each team/ department should produce 2 different shapes:1 shape in round 1 and 2 to 3 shapes in round 2 based on market

dynamics Each shape(s) assigned to specific amount of revenue.

Your team should to constantly trying and trying to assemble the given shape, until the round time finished.

The Saboteur GameExperience objective:Overcome negative self-talk in fun way, Express oneself, emotional healing Experience key learning’s:Understand personal negative self-talk voices, self- limiting believes Practice tools to overcome negative self talks and saboteursIncrease self- awareness and express oneself openly in safe environment. Duration: 3 hrs. Experience scenario:When you feel and see your team need more energy, spark of motivation, vibrant spirit, positive communication, presenting their ideas, projecting their frustration, braking bounders, know each other’s more, it’s about time to have and team capacity building and prepare for a transformation.

Drama therapy is a unique approach to tackle customer and team challenges, they will express it, make jokes about it, solve it, engage others, and most of all HAVE FUN and build the 8 teambuilding capacities. Also they will find solutions to their challenges using optimistic spark tools and techniques.

Act 1: The Saboteurs In Team play – teams will form a full acting play to present the 9 saboteurs that hindering business and personal performance and moving forward.

Act 2: The fixing - CUP technique Teams will take some academia and re-framing techniques, study new tools, re-write how to overcome these saboteurs by constrictive way.

Act 3: The positive mindset Present act 2 of the play, about hope and positive dialogue, readiness change, think differently, communicating change. Finding facts and evidence, finding solutions, optimism, acting on change, deliver achievements . Teams end by debrief that pinpoint the real saboteurs at workplace, and how to CUP them…Do real actions steps…..

The challenges: 1- This painting is part of other 6 paining that representing a greater theme: Your team need to know what is that theme, where your paining fit in amount this greater theme. Each painting MUST have a touch, a mark of all other colors. team need to agree with all other teams to put their mark on your paining.

Experience scenario:Activity objective: Use each animal’s successful hunting strategies to bring new solutions to your challenge. Think what if you can apply these strategies to current challenge! What new solutions will come to mind “this is the power of lateral thinking”

Winning criterions is a mix of the accuracy in using species best strategies, best usage of music, sound effects, decoration, storytelling and gadgets, The quality of storyline, storytelling, engagement, resources management and utilization. During the planning phase team needs to agree on grand strategy: Leading or Escaping from the zoo.During execution phase team will present the play “story” and how species will lead or escape the Zoo!

& outshine competition with its new workforce, cookies flavors and massive marketing campaigns. Your objective as a team is to present your company with the highest quality “Waffles & more ” to get the proper brand awareness and highest revenue. Your mission is to get 24 flags from other teams “competition”, each flag represent certain resource to make the waffles. If other teams over spray you with red color you need to make extra physical activities to start again!

Team targets are very simple: 1- Get the required items, resources from other teams, 2- Build very attractive booth & make marketing campaign to attract visitors.3- Present best quality to get highest score from the visitors and management.

The Hunt Game

Experience scenario:Discover the treasure chest of your team‘s hidden potential! The awesome blend of Treasure Hunt’s physical, fun, thrilling activities & Optimistic Spark’s emotional, positive mindset, self-empowering activities! Team task is to find the Optimistic Recipe, “secrete blend of happiness and optimism!”

Experience objective:Increase positive mindset and converting challenges into solutions through teamwork. Experience key learning’s:Getting things done, time management, celebrating team diversity, team communication, applying positive mindset and overcome setbacks. Duration: 3 hrs.

Key challenges: The day starts with briefing session about positive mindset main values ,principals, competencies and SPARK model. Sub-teams will search all over the places for optimistic spark 12 clues. They request to solve emotional and social and mental riddles. Teams will practice and live real positive mindset competencies, apply positive mindset traits to overcome these challenges. Each team should to bring one major component of optimistic recipe to active the engine of positivity , team need to adopt the mindset of collaboration, creativity, persistence, alignment, self- and time management and high level competition spirit.

The Pearl Game

Experience objective:Foster strategic thinking, maximize

opportunities, increase resources allocations and time management.

Experience key learning’s: Think strategically with backup plan, solve problems and take decisions as one team, understand each team member’ abilities

goals planning and management. Duration: 3 hrs.

Experience scenario:

Work together and to spend as many days possible in the mine to “Mine as much Pearls as we

can!” The situation is that teams have sufficient but not excessive resources for a 20-day journey, Team selection of

strategies, roles, route, resources, risk, etc. Total duration is 20 days of 2 minutes each, with daily communication of unpredictable/

changing weather patterns which will lead to different resources consummation! There are 20 days for the journey, You move each day, Days are 2 minutes long, Plan for weather and days, Plan for fuel and shelter, Hire a mentor if you want to have more info “optional” Of course some teams mine more pearls than others but every team contributes to our overall results. Thus, teams that made planning

mistakes or other non-optimizing decisions “live to play another day!” They are thus more open to debriefing discussions. The focus on

collaboration between teams is a focus on how your business really operates! What might “Pearls hub” represent to your organization? Mission,

targets, percentages, goals, vision, customer, talents, star products.

Experience scenario:Go through fast paced activities to get as much resources and Ping-Pong balls as possible. Total of 12 activities for each team, each consumes 4 min. After successfully performing each activity, they will be entailed to take some resources, balls, and tools, to start stage 2. Spark balls challenges designed to practice the 6 levels of performance “mental, emotion-al, spiritual, communicational, behavioral and executional.” First team successfully finishes the assigned activities will have extra resources and bonus. Once the team collect sam-ple amount of resources, the team will be eligible to start the design, production phase. Based on the resources they have collected, they need to executive nice, cheerful, usable gift to other teams, used at the office. Present the handmade gift or two to other teams in glorious ceremony that includes music, speech, 1 painting, and more… other teams will vote for each team gift for the best creativity, quality and usability and best ideas will be take The Gift Crest!

The Shift Game

Experience objective:Perception change, getting out of comfort zone, thinking differently and getting aligned with corporate overall big picture. Experience key learning’s:Alignment towards one unified goal,Winning spirit over challenges by changing mindset,Getting out of comfort zone and focus on successListening and coaching & Leadership through setbacks

Duration: 3 hrs.

Experience scenario:Your company has announced an initiative, as a Corporate Social Responsibility project to declare solidarity with fellow Citizens with disabilities. Each team will paint part of massive paint, or small paint in thematic gallery.

Team Roles:

The Painters: Only Two Team members will work on the actual painting, left-handed while being blind folded as well. The lead coordinators: Two team members should give instructions, and lead the painting team. They should give feed-back on painters progress “acting as their eyes and also coordinate with other team the overall directions to complete the picture.”, The team supporters: Two team member will moderate the team activity, provide the coloring materials from the resource bank, coordinate with other teams the general theme, and big picture.

Experience objective:Think of customers as our heroes “without them we going to close” .Think of our products as hero to customer “without us they will undergo”.

Experience key learning’s:Customer is first priority and we should to act as their heroes,Creativity to find campaign and emotional messages to serve the customer, Duration: 3 hrs.

Experience scenario:You’re a newly hired member of the “Sales, and Marketing” team, you were hired for the sole purpose of creating an initiative to position the company in the mind of your custom-er as an organization that caters to its clients’ needs, and wants. A company that would sacrifice and go the extra mile for their partners, and not afraid to dream! The Main Mes-sage you want to send is: We are the client’s Super Heroes; we do whatever it takes to improve our service to the client, subsequently improving their quality of life!

Winning criterions:Dare to dream! You must think big! We want a real game changer concept that affects customer experience and customer relation, and sentiment towards our organization; they must believe that “the Hero will save them”.No excuse! Whatever Sacrifice is needed for the Hero to accomplish his tasks, you need to deliver it by yourself. You are fully accountable for this task. Winning spirit (How can you win the hearts of your people, and become their Hero?)Ultimately improving the customers’ quality of lifeDeliver the poster with these criterions: It should have an expressive art form (character or shape) A strong tagline, phrase, or a positioning statement to position your Hero in the mind of your customers, strong, and attractive visual images, and use of coloring to rein-force statement it must have visual appeal!

Planning [20 min]: Teams split Into different groups or individuals of singers, musicians sound engineer, song writers, dancers, lyrics writers, decorators, stage manager, costumes designers, make up artists, crowd engagement.

Execution [70 min]: Producing the given assignments , coordinating with other team members, rehearsing and re-adjusting their performances and get ready for the big show time. Teams need to agree with each other to perform one mega song!

The Alien Game

Experience objective:Get what you want from stakeholders to achieve business targets.

Experience Scenario: Wohoo! Aliens are here! Let’s help them find homes and cars for their families. The game consists of 2 rounds where each round aims at selling bundle of assets.

Aliens: They have a limited budget and want to acquire some assets.Sellers: They want to persuade aliens to pay in return for that asset.Aliens are given 1,000,000 Sparks. Each seller plans their asset cards and receive lucky card during each round. The lucky card can only be used during its round or it will be lost. The seller decides freely. Sellers are given 15 minutes to present & communicate their pitches.The 1st seller starts pitching, other sellers are allowed to change anything on their pitch presentation (it’s a dynamic market) The buyer can bargain, negotiate, persuade and ask for clarifications, however, a deci-sion can’t be made until all sellers are done with their pitches. Experience Scenario: Each team competing against each- others to wine “Optimistic Crest” The top manage-ment committee , and 1000,000 Sparks reward! Your target is to stay ahead of com-petition by presenting the right roles to different business and manage-ment challenges.

How to play:On the main screen there will be 5 business cases/ challenges/ oppor-tunities, you and your team need to figure out which roles you need to tackle to overcome this challenge or use the opportunity to achieve success over the other teams.

You will have 3 mins to decide which roles are the best-fit scenario vs. pre-set best-practice scenario.

Once you decided on the roles, you will have other 3 mins to make three tasks:1. Send a faster runner to master trainer table with selected roles, place your roles in team box.2. Use your bowling techniques to hit the right balls “roles”. You only have 6 attempts and max 4 roles to overcome the challenge, 3. Upon getting each ball “role” you need to dispatch it to your box Note: You will have only 6 attempts to nail down 4 roles, you only have 3 min to accom-plish the bawling and scrolling task!
