Learn how to ensure your message is conveyed when you are no longer present and be intentional about leaving a spiritual inheritance that will last beyond the one-generational span of most legacies. This elective will be in room 306, led by Debbie Gentene. A Biblical Worldview of the Age of the Earth This elective, led by Matt Weaver in room 304, will explore the theological implications for how Genesis chapters 1-12 are interpreted with respect to the age of the Earth. We will examine the scientific evidence to see what it says about the age of the Earth. GRADUATION SUNDAY: Today we celebrate our graduating seniors from high school!

THIS MORNING: All students (grades 7-12) are invited back to the youth roomfollowing the first service where we will meet in elemental groups during the 11AM hour.

WEDNESDAY: All students grades 7-12 are invited to join us at 6:30PM in the youthroom for our midweek service, The Pursuit, a time of worship, scripture, games, food, &small groups. During the month of May, we will be doing a series titled, “My Story”. Each week, the students will hear from folks who’ve faced different challenges and work in different fields, but they all share the same faith.

SUMMER DATES:• Regional BLAST @ MVNU - June 6-8 • NYC - July 6-16• VBS - June 11-14 = Great opportunity to serve! • Stricker’s Grove - August 7• Youth camp - June 23 -26 @ Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center (Registration forms available at the Student Spot)

Today we begin a new series titled “Mud Run”. We will focus on God being with us. Our memory verse for the month is Isaiah 40:31.

Team Lift Training - TODAY we have our training for students involved in Team Lift. Food will be provided and students will stay after second service until 2PM.

6th Grade Bridge Week - We will have a brief parent meeting on May 19th after second service in the Fireside Room to discuss Bridge Week for 6th graders.

Mark Your Calendars: Our SNC Baby Day will be Sunday, June 2. Please stop at the ECD counter to sign up for this special celebration. This is for babies from birth up through 23 months of age.Little Sprouts Learning Center is now enrolling for the fall 2019 preschool year. Our weekday preschool serves 3, 4, or 5 year olds (who are not yet in kindergarten) on Mon/Wed/Fri. Morning or afternoon sessions are available. Stop by the ECD counter for enrollment information. Tuition for the 2019-2020 preschool year is only $100 per month.Art & Heart Summer Camp for 3, 4, and 5 year olds (not yet inkindergarten) June 24-27 in the ECD from 9:30AM - noon. Cost is $60per child. Stop at the ECD counter for information today.Missions for Young Children: Help your child focus on others by collecting loose change & bringing it to church to help our young friend, Luis, learn about Jesus in Ecuador. Talk to your child about sharing Jesus through finances, prayer & love around the world.

Senior Adult Ministries

Elevate Young Adult Ministry looks to create connections for adults ages 18-29 through group life, serving, & social events.

• Understanding the Lord’s Teaching - Room 312 at 11AM• Home Base - this group helps young adults connect and serve. All 18-23 year olds are invited to join Eric Johnson in room 313 at11AM.

Elementary Department (Grades 1-6)

PRAISE: Give God thanks for the nearly 48,000 new believers through the ministry of churches in the USA/Canada Region, as well as the growing number of new churches started in the region. More churches are discovering e�ective ways to reach theircommunities with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Give thanks for their e�orts, and pray for the congregations as they communicate God’s love to their communities.

Day Trip: The Ark Encounter - On Thursday, May 9, slip on your walking shoes and join us as we travel south to Williamstown, Kentucky where you’ll experience the life-size version of Noah’s Ark! Ticket cost is $21 per person, plus $5 for transportation. There are wheelchairs and scooter rentals available at an additional cost, and you can get everything from a sumptuous buffet ($10.99) to a sandwich for lunch! TODAY is the final day to register at the Connect Spot! Departure will be at 8:30AM from SNC and we will return late afternoon.

SWO PrimeTime Retreat - This terrific event is Monday evening, May 13, through Wednesday morning, May 15, at Higher Ground. Two nights lodging in hotel-style facilities, five incredible meals, special music with Southern Gospel singer, Ann Downing, and devotionals by Rev. Tom Zile are all included in registration! Take a break to fish, play games, play golf, walk the beautiful Higher Ground property, enjoy conversation with other senior adults, and be encouraged through worship! Terrific Third Thursday! Plan to join us on Thursday, May 16, when you can walk beginning at 11:15AM, dine at noon, hear from Pastor Blank, and then enjoy music by our special guest, Sheryl Pockrose, the Ukulele Lady of Cincinnati, whose repertoire includes big band, easy listening, traditional gospel, and country! You’ll be singing along and tapping your feet, for sure!

SWO DISTRICT PRAYER EMPHASIS: Locally our prayer emphasis this week is for Penuel Church of the Nazarene and Pastor Desire Ntwayingabo. The world area we are praying for this week is Ghana.
