Transplanting of 12 days old, 2 seedlings/hill at a spacing of 25x25cm2

under Integrated nutrient management followed by 3 across weeding by mandwa

weeder resulted in better output

•To determine relative contributionof practices of SRI on yieldattributes and yield of crop

•To establish the copingmechanism for late transplanting ofrice

•Documenting the action researchfindings and disseminate amongvarious stakeholders includingfarmers for wider replication of SRI

Conclusion

The management practice followed in SRI method ofcultivation produce significantly more number of panicles m-2 andgrains panicle-1

Out of four major practices of SRI, if due to some reason, we aredeviating from one practice, still then we find increment ingrowth parameters and yield attributes over pure conventionalmethod.

If the seedling age exceeds 12 days, for 16 DAS seedlings wecan go for single seedling transplanting at 25x25 cm2 spacing butfor 22 DAS seedling, we can go for two seedlings transplanting ata spacing of 20x20 cm2 for ensuring better yield.
