GVK MIAL celebrates 67th Independence Day
Our Founder Chairman and MD, Dr. GVK Reddy marked the 67th Independence Day celebra�ons by hois�ng our na�onal flag at the GVK CSIA a irport . The event was fo l lowed by an inspira�onal speech by the Hon'ble Chairman. In the spirit of true independence, he highlighted the transforma�on of Indian economy led by the liberaliza�on in early 1990s. He expressed his
pride in being associated with such a pres�gious project that is being touted as one of the most modern airport projects in the world. He appreciated CISF for their hard-work and dedica�on for ensuring safety for passengers and also acknowledged customs, immigra�on AAI, airlines, GVK CS IA employees and other associates for their excellent team work.

Efforts to reduce noise pollution
GVK CSIA is observing a “Silent Terminal Policy”, according to which, there
would be limited announcements across both the domestic and international
terminals. All information regarding ights shall be displayed on the
information screens. This would cut down the noise levels and hence improve
the ambiance at the airport. GVK CSIA is now among the world's leading
airports and the rst in India to implement the “Silent Terminal” concept.
New Import Cold Zone inaugurated at GVK CSIA's cargoService offerings at GVK CSIA's cargo
fac i l i ty were enhanced with the
inauguration of an “Import Cold Zone
(ICZ)” recently. This is a modular
structure that spreads over 15000 sq. ft.
and can hold cargo at temperatures
regulated between +15 degrees and +25
degrees. This ICZ is the largest of its kind
in India and can accommodate perishable
cargo received from 8 aircrafts in one go.
GVK BIA is getting all set to provide an amazing experience to travelers at the new terminal this year. Recent developments include the completion of the Airport Operational Control Centre (AOCC), trials of the check-in counters and unveiling of the art installations by artist Yusuf Arakkal.
“Brand New Terminal” to be unveiled soon
Vice President – Engineering & Maintenance, Bengaluru International Airport, Dr. Hari
Parameshwar, is also a corporate spiritualist, yoga guru and a life coach. He has shared
his spiritual as well as mystical insights through this brilliant collection of stories based
on his experiences of life – “Many Paths Many Answers”. The book has been released
recently and puts light on new age philosophy and corporate spiritualism.

This award recogn izes Banga lore Interna�onal Airport Limited's cargo ini�a�ves and its efforts in making the airport “The South Indian Cargo Gateway to Global Economies”.

Shafts and Problems in Casting
Concrete' pertaining to hydro
power projects. We congratulate
Mr. Khali for the presentation and

exceptional efforts.
GVK EMRI -108 service rescues girl
GVK EMRI's services turned a life-
saver for a young woman who was
kidnapped in Nagaland. Spotting
the right opportunity, she called the
“108” services. On receiving the
call, GVK EMRI informed the police
control room in Shillong, which, in
turn, contacted their counterparts
in Dimapur, Nagaland. The quick
emergency response helped the
Nagaland police rescue the girl and
arrest the kidnapper.
