The Land and Climate

Summers are long and hot ,while winters are are short and mild. Much of the state is made up of high, flat, and treeless plains for farming and ranching.

Two air masses meet in Oklahoma producing some crazy weather.

Resources and Industry

Oil is the most important resource in Oklahoma so they have a lot of it.

Products like natural gas and coal come from Oklahoma’s rich ground. These resources help peoples cars and heat their homes.

Historical People, Events and Landmarks

The State Fair is the largest annual event of its kind in Oklahoma city. Jim Thorpe was a baseball player football player, and a gold medalist.

Mickey Mantle was a hall of fame baseball player for the New York Yankees.

Oklahoma’s highest point is Black Mesa. There is a giant oil field worker and it is 76 feet tall.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial honors those lost in the 1995 explosion.
