Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.

1ST GRAde – enTRAnCe 28 - WARRIoRS 4.We came up against the strong Tigers side and after a solid start highlighted by a fantastic try saving effort from Shaan we had a bad 15 minute period where we turned over to much possession allowing the Tigers to rack up some quick points going to the 1/2 time break down by 22 –0. The 2nd half was a much better performance with the Warriors holding their own with the final score being 28-4. Luke Smith in his return to the Warriors was the try scorer after some good work from his inside men, whilst Bluey & Wyatt both played well. Tyler was the Players player and continues to impress every week. TIMoTH.

2nd GRAde – enTRAnCe 52 WARRIoRS 0A special thanks to the young veterans who played pretty much all of 3rd grade then backed up for us. Brendo,Perko, Millsy, Johnno and dave Mackenzie in his return to the Warriors. We came up against a well drilled outfit but we can take a lot away from this game. It makes it hard with only 11 fresh players to gain con-sistency and also with players having to play out of position, so overall it was a good effort. We still have a lot of work to do to turn our season around in the run home. Great effort across the board boys, PP was Cainan Hall. Thanks – Ken

LadIeS – entRanCe 42 - WaRRIoRetteS 0 despite the scoreline the girls are showing improvement every week. They showed plenty of spirit and held the Tigers out for long periods before small lapses allowed the Tigers to score. The McCauleys were strong again whilst Stephanie, Annie, Claire & Sara all played well. We were very im-pressed with the Tigers style of uniform and are looking to acquire similar gear for the future.enjoy the week off Ladies and prepare for the next clash against the Roos. Go the Warriorettes. tILotH

oPenS. WARRIoRS 20 – enTRAnCe 16.despite a slow start (might be the early kick offs) the Warriors displayed plenty of character in coming back from 12-0 down to post a good victory. Coen was everywhere and scored 3 tries toput us in a winning position. John Limburg was also strong and was our other try scorer while Millsy kicked 2 goals. there were a number of good players on the day with dK, Johnno and Zac all impressing. Lets continue on and as our team work develops we will only get better. Welcome back to Macca and Good Luck to 1st & 2nds this week Thanks, Fazal Mahmood

After the break the eagles quickly scored twice to make it 14-16 and from there the game changed. The eagles kept up their momentum and pressure running in another three tries to win convincingly 34-14. overall a great team performance with everyone giving 100% while played in the right spirit.ReSeRVe GRAde – last week saw us take on last year’s premiers Berkeley Vale. Boys were pumped for a big game. Berkeley Vale always are a big physical side and they never disappoint. They scored the first 6 points of the game early which must have woken us up as we switched into gear and started to play with intent. The boys played just as the coach asked, structured, focused and to the game plan. Points started to come our way, half time score 18-6. Second half was all our way as we piled on another 18 points, keeping them scoreless, full time score 36-6.

Well the Footy gods smiled for us all last weekend with some fine weather which allowed us to finally host a home game. It’s been a tough start to the year with plenty of away games mixed in with plenty of disruptions due to poor weather. Watanobbi Stadium was abuzz with excitement with the crowds flocking and filling all the seated areas early in what was set to be a terrific days footy against the Umina Bunnies. The 2nd Grade boys put in their best effort of the year against a determined and much bigger Umina side. The game was very tight throughout with some nice tries from both sides seeing the scores at 14 – 10 to Umina at the half time break. early in the 2nd half seen Umina get across the line early to have our boys on the back foot. But to their credit they kept on trying and scored a great try mid-way through the 2nd half to see the scores 20 -16 with about 10 min to go. the final 10 minutes was disrupted through injury and when the game recommenced the Razorbacks went on the attack for several sets but were unable to crack the Umina defence who were eventual winners 20 – 16. With our Central Wyong boys having 3 tries disallowed they can consider themselves unlucky not to record their 1st win of the season but they can hold their heads up high for the effort shown throughout the match and has them in good stead for the upcoming clash against northern Lakes. In the top grade fixture our Central Wyong Razorbacks like 2nd Grade put in their best 80 minute perform-ance of the season. They started the game in great shape getting into the grind early and matching it with an upbeat Umina side who have been playing well in recent weeks. The Razorbacks jumped out to an early 10 nil lead and continued this through to half time to be leading 18 – 10 at the break. The 2nd half was great to see as our boys dominated early which set them up to take advantage and score some great tries mid-way through the 2nd half to see the Mighty Razorbacks run away with a well-deserved 38 – 16 victory.Although everyone played well and dug in deep to get the season going for the Razorbacks 1st Grade Side there was some exceptional performances from some individuals which seen 3 Points go to Timmy (Can Fly) Williams, 2 Points to Captain aja (Give me another Hit up) Roberts and 1 Point to Luke (Mr depend-able) Young. It was great to see the club put on some good performances last Sunday and the crowd really enjoyed the atmosphere during and after the games. A good turnout for the Match day presentation at the Royal Hotel topped off a great day for the club. A huge thank you to all the helpers throughout the day. May hands made light work and it was very much appreciated.after a great week’s training sees us up against a very determined northern Lakes outfit today and I’m sure it is going to be another cracker day of Footy at Watanobbi Stadium.

A Huge thanks to our Sponsors for 2015. Your help is appreciated as we strive to make Central Wyong a long term success in the Central Coast Competition.

ST EDWARDS Bears NEWS Round 7 - After being out of action for 4 weeks due to weather and byes the boys were keen to get back into it coming up against last years premiers in Wyong. In what was always going to be a tough encounter the boys started slow going down 10-0 early but fought there way back to be down by 6 points in the half time break. The second half saw the boys play some entertaining footy in the 2nd half scoring some great team tries. The boys were up 24-20 with minutes remaining but to Wyong’s credit they crossed close to full time to win 26-24. Much improved effort by the boys and with so many new players this year we are building along nicely. 3pts went to Pete Smith 2pts and Players Player to dale Wilson who crossed for 3 tries and 1pt to Matt dewar with nick Corda picking up the Coaches Award. Special mention to Sheldon Kidd who after 3 years with the club is moving on. Sheldon has played an important role at the club since it’s inclusion 3 years ago and we wish him all the best and will be missed.

PReMIeR tRade CentRe 1St GRade- Rd. 7: the Premier trade Centre First Grade team came up against top of the table Terrigal Sharks at home in Round 7 of the competition. With three players backing up from playing a game the day before with the Central Coast Rep Team this would always be a tough ask against a Terrigal team that had cemented itself as one of the teams to beat in the competition. We started the game well and captain troy Woodley set up a flying Brad Bennett who opened up the scoring with a great try after 5minutes of play. From the ensuing set Jake o’Brien showed great pace and footwork to race away for a 50 metre try and extend our lead by 10points - nil. The tide of the match then changed and Terrigal got their fair share of possession and constructed two tries of their own to take a 12points - 10 lead. Some 50/50 calls went against the boys and Terrigal crossed for another try just before the halftime break and extended their lead by 16points-10 at the halftime break. the team started the second half the same way they started the first with good direction and forwards leading the way and it was a Brad Bennett cross field kick that saw Blake Wagner leap in the air to score a great try under the posts, the try was converted and the scores were locked up at 16all. We were then forced to play a man down for the remaining 30minutes of the match when we had a front rower sent off. The team worked for each other and with a player down scored a great team try out wide to Jake o’Brien which saw us take the lead by 20points - 16. As with the way the match had gone Terrigal struck back with a try of their own which was converted and they led by 22points -20. The team remained calm and with minutes remaining a towering bomb saw Terrigal cough up possession, Jae Woodley stayed alive and picked up the loose ball and he found a flying Jake o’Brien who raced away to score his third day of the day and allowed us to grab back the lead, once again the try was converted and we ended up running out winners by 26points-20. The effort from the team was outstanding and playing the majority of the second half with a man down the team worked for each other and toughed out a great win at home. 1 point went to Jake Hardman who also made his first grade debut and was great for the team when he came on the field, 2 points went to Brad Bennett who steered the team well around the park and whose kicking game was second to none, 3 points and Players Player went to Jake o’Brien who scored 3 tries and had the defence second guessing every time he touched the ball. The boys will look to back up today in their match against Toukley Hawks who are also one of the form teams of the competition. auSSteeL FRaMeS ReSeRVe GRade- Rd 7: a much improved effort from the boys this week even though the score did not reflect how dominant we were. at least 80% of the game was spent in our oppositions half of the field and to terrigals credit they made the most of their limited opportunities, running in 3 tries to 1. Half time score Kincumber down 4 – 16.The 2nd Half saw much of the same from our boys with the big difference being our ability to get across the line. A lot of pressure was put on the Terrigal defence and to our boys credit they remained patient and the tries came. Full time Kincumber 20 – 16. Tries this week went to Stubsy, Pitty and 2 to drummo with Trav being credited with 2 goals (Questionable). award winners this week: travis Gallen 3 points and Players Player, Jesse Jackson 2 points and 1 point each to Luke Woodley & Kyle Sabroe. We are looking forward to a big effort against Toukley next week. CentRaL CoaSt oZ taG LadIeS taG- Rd 7: the girls had another great win on the weekend over terrigal 50-0. We were tested early but our defence is strong and every week we improve a little more. our defence was a great team effort and leading the way was Molly and Bec doing some great Tagging. Kirsty and Rachel took the ball to the line well and good straight running with good support from Jayme, Ranni, Sian, Jasmyn and Lilly lead to some good tries. tries were scored by Molly-2, Jayme-2, Kirsty, Bec and tara. and Sian never let us down with her 7 conversions. The kicking game has been getting better also forcing a line drop and some good balls to chase for Tara and Alicia. 2 schooners went to Rachel and 1 to nerida for diving on the loose balls which was great to see. once again great all round performance by the Team. Players Player went to Molly and Bec. With 3 points to Kirsty and 1 point to Rachel, Jasmyn and Lilli.

OURIMBAH WYOMING Magpies NEWS tHe MetaLand 1St GRade took on toukley on Sunday looking for our first home win of 2015 and for 50 mins we looked on track; but costly errors at crucial times cost us. The attitude and effort is enormous just our execution at times lets us done badly. We couldn’t have got off to a better start scoring the opening 2 tries to lead 12 - nil after even time but lack of ball control allowed Toukley back into game and we went to the break 4 tries each and a 20 - 16 scoreline. We spoke at halftime about not giving them cheap ball and we’d put ourselves in a good position to win the game. We came out of sheds and failed to complete our first set and not long after toukley scored to take the lead for the first time by 2. We just didn’t seem to recover from that and Toukley lifted the tempo of the game. our boys tried hard and tackled themselves to a stand still but we strug-gled to keep them at bay as they got a roll on and we couldn’t go with a well-drilled Toukley side going down 40 – 20. the scoreline wasn’t a true reflection of the game as it was a lot closer than the score suggested. We just need more respect for the ball if we’re gonna compete with the top sides; once we do, we’ll be right. Players’ player and 3pts went to Mitch Fry who scored two tries and had a blinder at lock. 2pts to our skipper Chris Trembath who is an inspiration to his teammates with his work rate and big minutes each game. 1pt went to Corey Bayley who also had a big game on the right edge with some good defence. Coaches’ award went to Brock Taylor on his 1st grade debut and he didn’t let anyone down. Playing frontrow at 18 years of age - mas-sive effort mate . Congrats to Tryone Johnson and Jack Akhurst on their respective 1st grade debuts for the club - well done boys . also welcome to our new addition Hamilton Hughes on his first game for our club; he went well and welcome. Thanks to all the sponsors that came for our Sponsors’ day. Sorry we couldn’t get the cash for you but thanks for your support it is appreciated . Well done to our opens team who continue to set the standard for the club with another win . Bad luck to Reggies you will turn the corner, too good a side not to. Keep listening to coach Harrison and results will follow . Finally a big congrats to our Ladies oztag side on their First Win of the year - thoroughly deserved ladies its been coming for the last couple of weeks. Well done and look forward to watching you ladies win more games as the year progesses. Well done to our committee as well for organising our Sponsors’ day on Sunday. it ran smoothly and everyone had a good day. cheers Marto tHe daVoS SeaFood oPen GRade 24 touKLeY 18 . our first game at home this year and we couldn’t have started the game much better - going to a quick lead. Knowing Toukley would come back at us we had to dig deep in defence . Going to the break with a couple of boys in the sin bin we knew that we were in for a tough half of footy. Poor ball handing and lack of discipline saw the Hawks come back in the game and only 6 points in it . All the boys stood tall with no reserves for the last 20 minutes and happy to take the 2 points. Points 3- Hardy, Players’ player and 2 points - Barbs , 1 point - Mook . A quick shout out the the ladies for getting their first win for the season - well done girls! Good luck to the the rest of the teams this week.up the magpies ! CLuB RePoRtA big thank you to all our loyal supporters, sponsors & the rugby league community who witnessed some great Rugby League action last Sunday at the beautiful Sohier Park where we hosted the toukley Hawks. not all the results on the day went our way on the day but there greatest highlight being ourimbah’s ladies league tag side winning their first competition game for 2015. other hightlights were open age grinding out a win against a gutsy Hawks side & Mitch Fry’s two tries in First Grade. Today we travel out to erina oval where we line up against the erina eagles and we as a Club are looking forward to this challenge in all grades. This year our proud Club is in the process of installing and completing a retractable fencing project around the main oval at Sohier Park. over the coming week the first signs of construction will be taking place and will be completed before the end of the footy season. 1ST GRAde After a sloppy start against northlakes, the Central Coast Cleaning Contractors First Grade Tigers started to play some attractive football after bombing 3 possible tries in the first 10 minutes. With a lot more composure we opened the scoring through a short side play, with Ryan Jowett crossing next to the post. Short-ly later we were in again when Perry Le Brocque finished off a swift backline movement to cross in the corner but was unable to add the extras. The Tigers were in again on a set blindside move off the scrum when Scott Jones raced 30 metres to score with our new kicker Perry adding the extras. Super sub tim nawaqatabu finished off the scoring for the half when he crashed over for a 22 nil halftime score. the second half couldn’t have been any different from the first half with the tigers struggling to gain any field position due to some dubious calls from the man in the middle which made it hard for both sides to gain any momentum. To northlakes credit they kept coming and after a lot of ball on our line were able to score out wide. It took until the 75th minute to get our next try when big Timmy crashed over for his double with Perry adding the extras to finish 28-4 winners. Best on a tough day was Ryan Jowett, Perry Le Brocque and our 2 front rowers Big timmy and Spaz. Big congratulations to the 5 rep players Shaune Corrigan, Grant nelson, Perry Le Brocque, troy adams and Brad Chatfield after a big win on the Satur-day and backing up the following days to continue their outstanding form. ReSeRVe GRAdethe Rapid Clean Reserve Grade tigers 52 defeated northern Lakes Warriors 0. a dropped ball from the kick off resulted in our goal line defence being tested early on by the Warriors. The boys were able to withstand the pressure of back to back sets and then get things back on track with some good sets coming out of trouble and a good kick chase. We were able to control the ruck in defence and stick to our game plan and structures in attack which was pleasing. We look forward to getting back to edSACC this week and taking on Woy Woy. oPenS RePoRTAfter 5 weeks without a game, The Treasury Wines estate open Grade had a disappointing result against north Lakes. after a good first ten minutes that saw us get to a 12 nil lead we put in a terrible next 60 minutes of football which saw 20 unanswered points against us.Points went to Matt Burraston – 3 points who is getting better with every game; 2 points went to Matt Gibson who tried hard all game and 1 point went to a guy in his first game for the club tim King and Jarrad Black. We will be looking for a much improved effort v’s St eddies this week

A big thank you to all who attended our BIG WAY oUT fundraiser, especially in miserable conditions. Your support is greatly appreciated by all at the Hawks. Last Sunday the Canton BeaCH SPoRtS CLuB toukley Hawks travelled to ourimbah and came away with strong wins in first and reserve grade and narrow losses in opens and the ladies.CentRaL CoaSt 4 X 4 WReCKeRS First Grade: after a sluggish start the boys went on to record an impressive 40-20 victory against a committed Magpies outfit. We trailed by two tries early on, but had ourselves back in the contest at the break trailing 20-16. The second half was a different story as we eventually scored 7 tries to 3 for a well deserved victory. A special mention to the boys who backed up after playing for the Coast on Saturday, as well as some of our younger guys including nugget, Ghaz, Peck and Thorney who were among our best. This weekend is another step up as we host one of the premiership favourites In Kincumber. no doubt the boys are eagerly awaiting this challenge and excited to be playing in a top of the table clash in front of a vocal hawks crowd. You all deserve to be in this position and we’re all behind you. Keep it up boys.CdM ReInFoRCeMentS Reserve Grade: another very strong performance resulting in a 34-14 victory. The boys controlled the game throughout and are looking forward to taking on a strong Colts team this weekend. Good luck lads.JuSt CutS Ladies League tag: a much improved performance from the girls saw us go down 16-4 in a tight match. Good luck girls.touKLeY CaRPaRK ButCHeRY open age: a gutsy effort against a strong Magpies outfit that might be a turning point for the boys season. After trailing 24-6 at the break the guys fought back to go down by just six points.
