Points towards a Grand Championship cannot be gained until a dog completes its Canadian

Championship. The accumulation of points began January 1, 2013. The dog must compete

in the Specials Only class. Twenty points are needed for the title (the forms are available for

download from the CKC website and it is the responsibility of the owner to keep track and

when they reach the 20 points, submit the form to CKC who will verify the wins, and if cor-

rect will issue a certificate). In the 20 points there needs to be a minimum of 1 Best of Breed

and at least 2 – 2 point wins. The scale of points is the same as for regular championships.

A judge will select Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog, Select Bitch (the

latter 2 will be chosen from the remaining Specials dogs competing, if any in competition).
