Awana is off to a great start this year! I could

never say enough about the enthusiasm anddedication of each of the volunteers, and theamount of support from the entire church thisyear has been such an encouragement to all ofus. Watching these children get excited to learnscripture, and seeing their families growing closerto the Lord together has been amazing! Pleasecontinue to reach out to families you know. Ourregistration does not close, and if we all invitejust ONE MORE family imagine the impact we canhave in our community this year. God's Word

does not return void, and it is being taught,studied, and recited every week during Awana.You might also keep an eye out in the children'swing. They are hoping to complete 200 hours ofcommunity service this year, to make three years

in a row, and we'll be tracking it as they go.Brigitte

Operation Christmas Child 2013I can hardly believe that it is almost time tostart packing shoe boxes for Operation Christ-mas Child. Our goal is 300shoe boxes thisyear. We collected 252 shoe boxes last year.Please see list below for items that can be put

in the shoe boxes.

The Agape and Lighthouse class will be supply-ing shoe boxes again this year.

Shoe Box packing Party: November 10, 2012.The Lighthouse class with help from the Agapeclass will be sponsoring a shoe box packingparty for the children of the church. All itemswill be supplied to pack a shoe box, parents willbe asked to pay the $7.00 donation for eachshoe box packed. More details on this event

can be found in the bulletin starting in October.

Processing Center: Are you interested in volun-teering at the processing center in Charlotte,NC. There are three spots available, if you areinterested in going please email me [email protected]. We will be volunteering onDecember 2nd and 3rd. This is our fifth year ofvolunteering and it has always been a wonder-ful blessing to all who have attended. We

would love for you to join us.

The Kick-off: Operation Christmas Child willbe November 3rd. Please bring your shoe box-es to the church, between Nov. 3rd and 29th,and place them under the Christmas tree in the

foyer.

ITEMS IN YOUR BOX: Pens, pencils and sharp-eners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink padsets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators,

coloring and picture books, etc
