WHO’S WHO BRIAN CONWAY (Carlos) appears in commercials, TV, and films. Favorite stage credits: Paul in A Chorus Line, Angel in Rent, Thalia (Sonny u/s) in Xanadu, Tommy Keeler in Annie Get Your Gun, Chino in West Side Story, Judah in Joseph, Linus in Charlie Brown, Damn Yankees, Footloose, Annie, Aida, Flower Drum Song, All Shook Up.

CATHERINE GLORIA (Wanda) is excited to make her debut performance with Maximum Entertainment Productions. Catherine was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. Past credits include Oliver! (“Bet”; Woodminster), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (“Narrator”; TVRT), You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (“Lucy Van Pelt”; Willows Theatre Company), and Miss Saigon (“Kim”; Broadway by the Bay, DTC).

JACQUELINE GOALWIN (Dorothy Ann) has her BA in Theatre from California Baptist University. Recent credits include: Kaiser Permanente’s ETP (Trina- Peace Signs), Torch: A New Musical (Reading, Ensemble), Oklahoma! (Laurie), The Fantasticks (Luisa), Godspell (Disciple), Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel). In the Rain (Berkeley Playhouse) and Jerry Springer the Opera ( Ray of Light Theater). She’s extremely blessed to learn and teach others about...Going GREEN!

MATT ONO (Liz) is thrilled to be traveling the US with The Magic School Bus! Past credits include Blue Window (Tom), People America (Nikko), Children of the West (Art). Revues/Concerts: All That Glitters, First Comes Love, Colors. He has choreographed numerous concerts in hula and hip-hop. This one’s for mom and dad.

JESSICA PAYNE (Ms. Frizzle) is thrilled to be taking chances and getting messy originating the role of Ms. Frizzle. She has recently been seen in Strega Nona (Maximum Entertainment Productions), The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Willows), and Girl Crazy (42nd Street Moon). SCOTT ELMEGREEN (Playwright, Composer, and Lyricist) is a playwright, composer, lyricist, and novelist whose work has premiered on Broadway, television and in film, as well as off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. Recent projects include the Emmy Award-nominated Colin Quinn Long Story Short, directed by Jerry Seinfeld (original compositions; Helen Hayes Theatre, HBO special, national tour), Awesome Allie: First Kid Astronaut

(book; Vital Theatre, pub. Theatrical Rights Worldwide), College The Musical (NYMF Award for Excellence in Writing, pub. Dramatic Publishing), Vote For Me: A Musical Debate (New York Musical Theatre Festival, commissioned by Aged in Wood productions), Straight (developed by Tony Award-winning producer Andy Sandberg), and Thucydides (Samuel French Off Off Broadway Festival Winner, pub. Samuel French). Elmegreen’s original music is featured in Piled Higher And Deeper The Movie, based on the popular webcomic, PhD Comics. CAST cont. TRACY WARD (Director) works as a freelance director in the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on New Works for the American Theater. Recent productions include: National Tour of Strega Nona with Bay Area Children’s Theatre/Maximum Entertainment (2009.2010 tours) The Horses by Brian Thorstenson at AlterTheatre, The Shaker Chair by Adam Bock at Shotgun Players/Encore Theater, JUANA, a new opera by Carla Lucero at Theatre Artaud, and the critically acclaimed, award-winning production of Hunter Gatherers by Peter Nachtrieb at the Thick House in June 2006. Other directing credits include work with: Theatre Rhinoceros, Abydos Theater, Lunatique Fantastique, Stephen Pelton Dance Theater, Word for Word, Playground Company, Oakland Public Theatre, Z Space, and the Summer Plays Festival New York City.

NICOLE MCGANN (Choreographer) is a proud member of the Bay Area Children’s Theatre family which brings her passions of dance and reading together. Nicole is a founding member of the award-winning Youth Theatre Company, and has provided choreography for other children’s theatre groups throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley in English.

SEAN FENTON (Music Director) has worked with BACT since 2004, most recently supervising the music for the national tour of Tomie dePaola’s Strega Nona. A graduate of Stanford University, Sean has worked with companies throughout California, including TheatreWorks, California Conservatory Theatre, and Willows Theatre Company.

Mr. Alcala has also designed for the San Francisco Opera Center where he did The Elixir of Love and Don Giovanni. Mr. Alcala is a professor of design at CSU, East Bay.

ERIC BEHNKE (Technical Director) is thrilled to be working on The Magic School Bus. Eric has spent the last three years touring with The Kennedy Center (Washington, DC), and spends his summers as a stage manager and lighting designer for Cortland Repertory Theatre (New York). BAY AREA CHILDREN’S THEATRE (Producer) was founded in 2004 as Active Arts Theatre for Young Audiences to bring high quality theatre to family audiences in the Bay Area. We specialize in literary adaptations of great children’s books. Through challenging and exciting productions that emphasize artistic excellence, we seek to engage a new generation of theatergoers and inspire young people to open their imaginations to new worlds. Bay Area Children’s Theatre has four programs: Main-stage productions, educational drama classes, touring productions, and pre-kindergarten special productions. We produce main stage productions in Berkeley, San Ramon, San Francisco, and Saratoga. Our performances feature professional adult performers. We hire designers and directors who bring vibrant, creative worlds to life and who understand how to make theatre accessible for young audiences. Past productions

include: Strega Nona (national tour in association with Maximum Entertainment), Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business, James and the Giant Peach, Little Women, Pippi Longstocking, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (in partnership with Children’s Fairyland), How I Became a Pirate, Wonderland: A Circus Adaptation of Alice in Wonderland (in partnership with The Circus Center of San Francisco) and many other adaptations of great children’s literature. OREGON CHILDREN’S THEATRE (OCT) (Producer) is Oregon’s flagship performing arts company for children and families. All of its programs, from stage to classroom, open the door to a life-long appreciation of the arts and use theater to advance growth, development and creativity in children. Each season, OCT produces five professional plays for families and school groups, reaching an audience of close to 100,000. As a resident company in the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, its audience members experience top-quality productions in spectacular venues in downtown Portland. The company is proud to commission at least one original work each year in collaboration with award-winning authors and playwrights; many of its world premieres are subsequently seen on stages all over the country.

BRAD SIMON (Booking Agent) A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Brad formed BSO in 1983 as a management company and booking agency for classic and contemporary jazz artists and is responsible for the company’s expansion into the representation of theatrical, dance and variety presentations. Brad has a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. He is a graduate of the Commercial Theater Institute and a member of The Broadway League.
