Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.) listens to NLC Program Director Mike Wallace discuss NLC’s position on the recently introduced DRIVE Act.

Mayor Becker commends Senator Inhofe for introducing the DRIVE Act, a long-term transportation bill, and offers ideas for improving support of multi-modal and active transportation projects that drive development and job creation in cities and towns today.

Mayor Becker explains the importance of local-state-federal collaboration to the success of long-term resiliency planning at a Center for American Progress forum.

The event was kicked off by Shaun Donovan, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.

NLC President Ralph Becker meets with Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Ranking Member of the Senate EPW Committee and the original Democratic co-sponsor of the bipartisan DRIVE Act.

Before heading back to Salt Lake City, Mayor Becker films a call-to-action urging fellow city leaders to call their representatives and ask them to cosponsor the Remote Transactions Parity Act (RTPA).
