Celebrations of Ramakrishna Paramhamsa Jayanti
for all beings. What the whole
Hindu race has thought in ages, he
lived in one life. His life is the living
commentary to the Vedas of all
nations (Swami Vivekananda in
a Letter to Brahmananda , 1895)
We are unfathomably blessed to be
born in the same lineage as Sri
Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. So
lets celebrate His Jayanthi, our Nationality and human birth as
such!
She is very good at drawing as
well as studies.
Girija, our 2nd
grader is a very
good student. She
loves to help her
neighbors.She is
very good at
taking care of her
sibling.
Anotherword for creativity is courage!
MEDITATION
When we are noisy,our
madam Asks us to do
meditation.
First time I disliked it.
As I started doing more I find
happy and peaceful.
I remember my lesson and
tasks.
It disciplines my mind and
helps me to concentrate on
my studies.
I like to do more meditation.
Sincere prayer is always
answered and everyone will
become perfect, through the grace
of God, Unless a man is simple,
he cannot recognize God ,the
simple one. What could be more
inspiring and encouraging to
modern day seekers who have to
delicately balance their worldly
responsibilities and the yearning to
realize the truth?
Lets take time
to remind
ourselves His
messages
God is very
real and
within reach
of all,

The aim of education is the knowledge not of fact, but of values.
Education is the basis for a
healthy and happy society, because
the students of today become the
leaders of tomorrow. Swami
Nachiketananda has strongly
stressed on the importance of
adopting a value-based
educational system.
Our Vidya Mandir is a unique
example of how tradition can be
seamlessly woven into modernity.
It is in fact a modern Gurukulam.
In keeping with ancient tradition,
education is offered free. Children
are taught Rudram and Vedic
Chanting irrespective of caste and
creed. Hand in hand all the
elements of a conventional modern
day education are being passed on
to the students.
Energy in children needs to be
channelized properly to pave way
for a balanced society. Parents

Swamiji has accomplished the
impossible by granting intimacy in
many ways. Using the chisel of
love He quietly moulds their
character. There is something
extraordinarily unique about his
involvement with students. He is
at one stroke, mother, father,
teacher, friend, philosopher, guide
and much more.
We have witnessed remarkable
changes in the behavioral pattern
of some of our children at the
Vidya Mandir. We are sure they
would be the torch bearers of
Indian Values.

K. SUBHADRA
The brave alone can afford to be sincere!
Messageby Adhyatmik Praneta
Swami Nachiketananda
We try to create many Gods
according to our perception. But
there is a difference between
Seeing and Experiencing God.
You might look at an idol and say 'I
have seen God but to experience,
that is not enough. At the same
time to experience God, sometimes
the seeing is also important. If I say
this is the Cosmic energy, how can
you experience that cosmic energy?
To experience Higher
Consciousness you need to have
that Individual Consciousness.
Sri Ramakrishna always used to
feed Mother Kali. He used to talk
to Her statue made of stone, but
even in that stone statue He could
feel the Supreme Consciousness.
That is the true way of experiencing
God.
Everything comes out of the
Cosmic Energy and we are a part
of that Cosmic Consciousness. We
have every right to say I AM
GOD! We are separating ourselves
from God and this separation is
stopping us from experiencing
God.
We create two different worlds,
Gods world and Our world.
Because of this false identity we are
not experiencing God.We have to drop this false identity
and say, Yes, I am Consciousness!
The moment we say that our
receiver will open and connect
directly to the Cosmic receiver.
When we start experiencing God
we realize that God is all
pervading.
Accept that 'You are God. When
you accept You are God you willbe able to see God.

4 5No one can get anything unless he earns it. This is an eternal law.
Swami Shivanandamayi or
Mataji as we address her, was
invited by the Rotary club members
to speak on Spirituality at Jubilee
Hills club on the 10th January 2009.
We appreciate the Rotary Club
members for their interest and
efforts in organizing this event. The
evening was a success in a way that
Mataji spoke few words but
conveyed a deep message to the
audience. She focused on how
Spirituality must be practiced in
daily life to improve the spectrum
and quality of our lives. Human
beings distinguish themselves from
other living creatures by the sense
of awareness which is the
beginning of Spirituality in ones life
and this self-introspection can
culminate in self-realization by
putting effort to channelize the
mind. Every one is spiritual but the
divinity gets hidden by the mind.
Spirituality does not belong to any
one religion.
Spirituality is not something
that can be learnt merely by reading
books or listening to discourses.Mataji quoted the example of Sri
Ramakrishna who did not read any
Vedas or scriptures but every word
he spoke was a Veda by itself.
Spirituality is Self-Science, looking
into your every action, it is
touching your inner chambers.
Spirituality is purity, silence and
ability to love everyone and
everything. Spirituality is neitherjust a theory nor a philosophy not
even a set of rules given by our
sages. Spirituality is the right
living, it is the way of life, it is the
fragrance of life.
Simplest way to adopt
spirituality is to perform each
karma as an offering to God, with
no expectations, with total
detachment. As Sri Ramakrishnasays, Do your duties with one
hand while holding on to God with
the other. This will open up a
whole new world with no divisions,
no discrimination but one love and
one consciousness.
Spirituality in daily life!
by Mataji
God is present in every jiva. Who serves jiva, serves God indeed.
Mind could become a tool or an
obstacle in this journey to
Spirituality. Mind should be
channelized and used like a tool in
unearthing the divinity within so
that you will enjoy all aspects of
life, to the fullest. Like Swami
Nachiketananda says, A polluted
heart is mind, a purified mind is
heart. Anger and jealousy should
carefully be watched out for!
Irrespective of the path you choose,
keeping mind clean and pure is of
utmost importance in achieving
the ultimate.
A spiritual person is beyond
everything. He not only has a
purpose but the higher goal in his
life. Satsangas could also be
helpful if attended to change our
life than for a change.
Spirituality is as essential as salt
is to a curry. Spirituality is all
about understanding and accepting
our shortcomings leading to
transformation of perception.
Delve deep within, cherish the
journey and enjoy the treasures
you find.

Concentration is the essence of all knowledge, nothing can be done
without it.
Tapovan started holding Computer
Literacy Classes since October
2008. The classes are open to any
8th class graduate at no cost. The
classes are held 3 times a week on
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
for an hour each for about 10
weeks. There are about 12 working
systems at Tapovan that are offered
to the students. The classes focus
on teaching MS Office applications-
Word, Excel, Power Point and
Access apart from the basics of
Computer and Operating Systems.
The response has been great to
these classes. So far two batches
of 24 and 15 students havegraduated in November and
January respectively. Some School
teachers also have been benefitted
by these classes.
Sasidhar has been the person in
charge of organizing and teaching
the classes under the loving
supervision of Swami
Nachiketananda. Sasi is very much
liked by the students not only as a
teacher but as a brother and a
friend. The next batch will be
starting in the first week of April and
we are expecting many more
applicants.
