    From the

It's almost me for Fall registraon, and once again we have a great

lineup of Honors seminars! These are open to all students regard-

less of major. Most Honors seminars fulll a general educaon re-

quirement, and all make great elecves.

Here are a few highlights from our seminar list for Fall:

"Who Decides What's Cool?" (HON 2020, Secon 1, TTh 3:30pm,

Prof. Amanda Fine). Prof Fine reprises her very popular course from

last Fall, in which she examines how marketers and the media de-

cide what's "in" and what's "out," parcularly among young con-

    sumers (fullls Social Science requirement).

"Art in an Era of Endless War" (HON 2210, Secon 2, TTh 2pm, Prof.

Angela Naimou). War has profoundly inuenced art throughout the

ages. But the 21st century--the age of "Endless War"--presents spe-

cial challenges. Join Prof. Naimou as she explores this important

    topic through art and literature.

"Religion, Cults, Secret Sociees and Conspiracy Theories" (HON

2030, Secon 2, TTh 9:30, Prof. Peter Cohen). We live in an age of

conspiracy theories (who killed JFK? Did Americans really walk on

the moon?), but such ideas are nothing new, and have oen been

linked to religious cults and secret sociees. Examine these issues

with Prof. Cohen from both historical and contemporary perspec-ves.

We have many other seminars besides these! Check them out at
