1. Introduction:
The Nims University, Jaipur herein after be referred as “The University” is
established under Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur Act, 2008 passed by the
Government of Rajasthan and recognized by UGC, MCI, DCI & other Councils
concerned.
2. Details of the Constituent Colleges:

3. Name of the Entrance Examination and Conducting Authorities:
The Nims University, Jaipur is conducting entrance examination for the seats
available in its constituent colleges for admission and selection procedure in MD /
MS / MDS courses for the academic year 2014-15. The name of entrance test is
ALL INDIA PRE-PG (MEDICAL / DENTAL) ENTRANCE EXAMINATION -
2014 (AIPPGMDEE - 2014).

7. Eligibility:
MD/MS - The candidate must have passed the MBBS examination and should
have completed satisfactorily one year of compulsory rotatory internship after
passing the final MBBS Examination as per MCI rules and should have
permanent/provisional registration with Medical Council of India/State Medical
Council.
MDS - The candidate must have passed the BDS examination and should have
completed satisfactorily compulsory rotatory internship as per DCI rules &
regulation after passing the final BDS Examination as per DCI rules and should
have permanent/provisional registration with Dental council of India/ State
Dental Council.
8. Duration: 3 Years (for candidate holding PG Diploma in the same Medical
subject, the course duration shall be 2 years).
The above duration will be counted from the date of joining the Course by the
candidate.
The duration of stay required by a candidate admitted to MD/MS/MDS degree
Course shall be 36 months. In case of candidates holding a Diploma Course in the
same Medical specialization prior to his/her admission to the MD/MS, the
duration of stay shall be 24 months. For all the Courses, the duration of stay
shall be counted from the date of joining the course after completing admission
formalities. Leaves admissible as per the rules may be availed. Attendance
requirement for all the PG Courses in each academic year shall be as per
MCI/DCI/University regulations.
9. Information Brochure & Application Form:
a. Issue of Information Brochure and Application Form: The
prospectus containing Application Form for entrance examination for
admission for the academic year 2014-15 can be obtained from
Nims University, Shobha Nagar (Jaipur-Delhi Highway),
Jaipur-303121 (Rajasthan)
The Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained from above
mentioned address during working hours in person by submitting the
demand draft of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) drawn in favour
of NIMS UNIVERSITY payable at JAIPUR. If the form is required by
post, send a D.D. of Rs.3,200/- (Rupees Three Thousand Two Hundred
only).
Application Form can also be downloaded from the website
www.nimsuniversity.org and send the filled-in form along with requisite
fee as mentioned above on the above mentioned address.
b. Submission of filled-in Application Form: Candidate shall fill-up the
Application form in his / her own handwriting in capital letters (block
letters) written neatly and legibly. The completed Application Form along
with necessary enclosures/ documents must be sent by Speed Post or
Registered Post or by hand to the address given in 9.a. For sending Admit
Card the Applicant should send the self addressed envelope (provided
along with Application Form) and paste a postage stamp on it equivalent
to the cost of Speed Post. The same envelop will be used for sending the
application form, however, University will not be responsible for the loss
of postage during transition. The candidate shall write his/her address
correctly on the envelope.

c. Last date of Submission of Application Form: The last date of
submission of duly filled in Application Form by the candidate is February
8, 2014 (5:00 PM).
d. Any query: For any query about All India Pre-PG (Medical / Dental)
Entrance Examination - 2014 the candidate may contact the University
through e-mail [email protected] mentioning his / her name,
complete address, telephone No. and other relevant information. The reply
to queries will be given only when candidate will give full information as
above.
e. Issue of Admit Card: The admit card containing roll number and name
of the examination centre will be sent to the candidate by Registered Post
/ Speed Post / Courier. In case the admit card is not received by January
25, 2014, contact the University through e-mail
[email protected] by giving name, address, telephone No.,
Demand Draft No., Application Form No. (if provided on the
Form), college chosen, etc. The candidates are advised to look into the
website their name & centre of examination in the list of admit cards.
Duplicate admit card can be issued on the day of examination between 9
a.m. to 12 p.m. at the allocated centre of examination after payment of
Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only). Candidate will be required to report
at the examination centre along with a photograph and identity proof to
the Centre Superintendent at the Examination Centre. The Centre
Superintendent after confirming the identity of the candidate will issue
duplicate admit card. f. Instructions to the Candidates for Filling the Application Form:
A candidate seeking registration to the AIPPGMDEE - 2014 is required to send his / her application in the prescribed Application Form only, appended in this Information Brochure. A candidate shall not fill and submit more than one Application Form for the entrance examination.
Before filling up the Application Form the candidate must familiarize
himself / herself with the information given in this brochure and shall
satisfy his / her eligibility to appear in the entrance examination. All the
candidates are required to go through the Information Brochure very
carefully and acquaint himself / herself with all the requirements in
regard of the filling up the Application Form.
Fill the form in English using capital letters, (except for signature).
The candidate shall fill-up the Application Form in his/her own
handwriting in capital letters (block letters) written neatly and legibly
with blue/black ink ball pen) within the prescribed boxes.
Overwriting, cutting, erasing in the Application Form may lead to
rejection of the form. Any error arising on this account shall be sole
responsibility of the candidates. It is advisable to first fill the Application
Form in a Photocopy of the form and then fill in the original Application
Form.
Any discrepancy in the statement and / or submission of incomplete forms
may lead to rejection of the application / cancellation of admission.
The candidate is required to paste a most recent colour photograph (not
older than three months) at the appropriate place on the application and
in the hall ticket / admit card. The photograph must be signed by the
candidate at the edge and should not be defaced.
Name of the Applicant: The candidate shall write his / her name in
capital letters as it appears in his/her marks sheet of the qualifying
examination.

Name of the Parent / Guardian: The candidate shall write the name of
his / her parent / guardian (any person, other than the parents of the
candidate, can become guardian only if the parents are not alive or are
insane).
Date of Birth: The candidate shall enter the date, month and year of his /
her birth as recorded in 10th standard board certificate.
Address for Correspondence: Write the complete postal address
including pin code to which all communications are to be sent. Also write
the telephone numbers with STD code, mobile telephone number and
Fax/E-mail address if any.
Declaration: The candidate and the Parent / Guardian must sign with
date the declaration to authenticate the information provided by them as
per format on a Non-Judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- and duly attested by
a notary public and the same shall be submitted at the time of admission
only. There is no need to send the declaration on an affidavit along with
the Application Form.
Details of MBBS / BDS and Internship: Write the month and year,
college and university from where the candidate has passed MBBS / BDS
examination and completed Internship.
Examination Centre: Examination Centre shall be Jaipur which will be
mentioned in Admit Card.
Candidates are advised to visit the website of the University
regularly for details regarding examination and result of All India
Pre-PG (Medical / Dental) Entrance Examination - 2014.
10. Documents required at the time of submission of Application Form:
a. Photo copy of mark-sheet of final professional MBBS / BDS Examination.
b. 1. Those who have already completed their compulsory Rotatory
Internship must submit a photocopy of completion certificate.
2. Those who are undergoing Rotatory Internship must submit a
certificate from the Dean or Competent Authority indicating probable
date of completion of Internship.
c. Photocopy of permanent/provisional registration from MCI / DCI or State
Medical Council / State Dental Council.
All these should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and also self attested.
11. Selection procedure and Admission: Selection of the candidates shall be on
the basis of the merit list of All India Pre-PG (Medical / Dental) Entrance
Examination - 2014 of Nims University, Jaipur. The selection will be based on
merit-cum-choice and preference for the subjects. The students have to fill the
preference chart for the colleges and subjects at the time of filling admission
form. The students will be allotted the subjects strictly accordingly to the
preference chart and merit in AIPPGMDEE - 2014.
12. Details of All India-Pre-PG (Medical/Dental) Entrance Examination -
2014.
a. Character: The proposed entrance examination will be of All India character
and students not only from Rajasthan domicile but also from any part of India
are eligible to appear in All India Pre-PG (Medical / Dental) Entrance
Examination - 2014 provided that the candidates fulfill other eligibility
criteria for admission to MD/MS/MDS course as per the rules and regulations
of the MCI/DCI.
b. Entrance Examination: A Common Entrance Examination (MCQ type) for
MD/MS and a Common Entrance Examination (MCQ type) for MDS will be

held for the admission to Postgraduate Degree. The minimum percentage of
marks for eligibility for Counseling shall be 50% in the Entrance Examination.
c. Entrance Test: A Common Entrance Examination (MCQ type) will be held for
the admission to PG programme. Following are the general instructions for
test:
1. The Entrance Examination will consist of 150 multiple choice questions
(Single best response) covering important aspects of the subjects prescribed
for MBBS/BDS Degrees.
2. Use only blue / black ballpoint pen to mark your responses in the Answer
Sheet(OMR Sheet)
3. For every question, there are four responses, only one of which is correct.
Select only one response which you think is the most appropriate and
indicate your choice in the answer sheet by darkening the circle completely
of the appropriate answer box.
4. Do not make any stray marks on the Answer Sheet. Do not fold, tear, roll
or mutilate your Answer Sheet in any manner.
5. Candidates are required to bring their own Stationary Items required to
attempt the Admission Test.
6. Use of Mobile Phones / Pagers / Calculators or any other electronic gadgets
are not allowed in the Examination Hall.
7. Entrance Examination shall be conducted at the specified centre. The
Examination Centre assigned to the candidate shall be mentioned in his /
her Admit Card. Candidates are advised to see the seating arrangement
chart which shall be displayed on the Notice board of the concerned
Examination Centre.
8. Candidates appearing at the Admission Test shall have to make their own
arrangements for boarding, lodging and transport.
9. Examination medium will be in English.
10. Every candidate's thumb impression on Biometric machine will be taken in
the examination hall which will be matched at the time of counseling.
11. Videography will be done during examination period on each center.
13. Result: The Result will be displayed on the website www.nimsuniversity.org only.
14. Counseling: There will be counseling for admission to Post Graduate Courses in
different subjects. The centre of counseling will be Jaipur. Selected candidates of
All India Pre-PG (Medical/Dental) Entrance Examination - 2014 appearing for
Counseling will be required to fill a Performa. Candidates shall appear before the
Counseling Committee in person.
15. Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission: The following
original certificates/documents of the candidates admitted shall be received in
the Office of the Principal, of concerned Medical/Dental College at the time of
admission:
1. Secondary School / 10th / High School Certificate
2. MBBS/ BDS Degree
3. MBBS/BDS Final Professional Mark-Sheet
4. Internship Completion Certificate
16. The documents shall be returned to the candidates on completion of the course or
at the time of removal of his/her name from the rolls of the University after
clearing the outstanding University dues.
17. All admissions shall be provisional in the first instance and shall be liable for
cancellation at any time if it is found that the candidate has furnished wrong
information or has concealed the facts intentionally.

18. Waiting List: Any drop-out/resultant vacancy shall be filled from the common
waiting list prepared at the time of counseling.
19. Medical Examination: The admitted candidates will be subjected to a medical
examination of physical fitness by the medical board, as per the required
standards. If any candidate is found unfit, his / her admission will be cancelled
and fee will be refunded.
20. Fee Structure
a. Tuition Fee: As prescribed.
b. Selected candidate may be required to furnish bank guarantee for the full
entire course fee at the time of admission.
21. College, Hostel Rules & Regulations for Students:
All the students admitted shall comply with the college as well as hostel rules
and Regulations framed by University / College from time to time.
22. “RAGGING” is a punishable offence under IPC. No one should involve himself
in “RAGGING”. If any student is found involved in ragging, he / she will be liable
to punishment imposed by the university / college authorities and committees
dealing with anti-ragging measures and other actions will be taken as per IPC.
23. Cancellation of Admission & Withdrawal from the course
1. The provisional admission of the student, who has paid admission fees but
fails to join the course at the institute within the time limit communicated, is
liable to be cancelled, and the tuition fee paid will not be refunded in case the
seat remain vacant due to this reason.
2. The prescribed fee once paid will not be refunded if after registration of
provisional admission, any student withdraws / discontinues from the course /
college in midstream. In such case a fee of total duration of the course shall
have to be paid by the student.
3. In case, candidate has paid fee in part and he/she requests cancellation of
admission, he/she shall not be refunded fee paid by him/her.
24. Enrolment: All the provisionally selected candidates for admission in the MD /
MS / MDS course for the academic year 2014-15 in any of the constituent colleges
of Nims University are required to apply through head of college in prescribed
pro-forma for enrollment and registration as per rules and regulation of the
university. All the admissions are provisional unless otherwise enrolment is not
completed.
25. Declaration on Affidavit:
a. Declaration by Student:
A declaration to be filled and signed by the candidate on a Non-Judicial
stamp paper and duly attested by a notary public as per the sample
format given hereunder. This declaration form in original shall be
submitted at the time of admission only.
b. Declaration by Parents:
Another declaration to be filled and signed by the parent / guardian of the
candidate on a Non Judicial stamp paper and duly attested by the notary
public as per the format given hereunder. This declaration form also in
original shall be submitted at the time of admission only.
26. Any Changes if deemed necessary may be affected by the University
which will be displayed on University website and therefore, the
candidates are advised to visit University website regularly. No
separate notification will be issued.
27. Jurisdiction:
a. Any dispute if arises in the process of selection / admission is subject to
Jaipur Jurisdiction only.

b. Nims University, Jaipur has the right to change the dates / admission
process, examination centres etc. due to unavoidable circumstances.
c. Nims University, Jaipur has the right to cancel the entrance test without
giving any reason.
Note: Nims University, Jaipur has not authorized any person or agency to issue
admission test form, collect fee or involve directly or indirectly in the process of
admission. If any candidate / agent do such act they will do on their own risk.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. The candidate must darken the circle for Roll No., Date of Birth,
Centre Code, Category etc. in the space provided on the top of the
answer sheet (OMR sheet) (to be provided separately). 2. The Candidate must write his / her Roll Number in figures as well as in words in
the space provided on the top of the test-booklet.
3. Candidate is required to check the question booklet and answer-sheet
before answering the questions. In case of any discrepancy / deficiency, the
candidate is required to bring it to the notice of the invigilators within 5 minutes
of the start of the examination, after that no change of the booklet and answer
sheet will be allowed.
4. There are 150 Questions in the test Booklet.
5. All questions are compulsory and carry one mark each. There is negative
marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer.
6. Candidate can do rough work wherever any space is available in the question
booklet but not on the answer-sheet.
7. The candidate is required to darken the circle completely,
viz. A, B, C or D of the best alternative amongst the four options
available against each question in the appropriate space on the
answer sheet. For example: Please darken the correct answer (only one) with black pen

pencil is not allowed.

9. Cutting and overwriting on the answer-sheet will not be credited.
10. Making any identification mark anywhere in the answer-sheet or tampering or
writing Roll Number or name anywhere other than the space provided for the
purpose, will lead to disqualification from the test.
11. Use of unfair means will disqualify the candidate.
12. Use of Mobile Phone, I-pad, Laptop, Calculator or any other electronic /
communication device in the examination hall is not allowed.
Instructions given on the question booklet / answer-sheet must be followed
strictly failing which answer-sheet shall not be evaluated and the candidate
will be debarred from admission.
