Nikolai Andrianov was born on 14 October 1952In Vladimir. He entered the sport school at age 11His trainer was the Honoured

Trainer of the USSA Nikolai Tolkachyov.

There has never been a gymnast who does not know Nikolai Andrianov. They knew him, even those who have never watched the gymnastics. The man is a legend, an idol, honored coach, international judge, the director of the famous Vladimir Sports school

The best gymnast of the XX century, the owner of 15 Olympic medals (7 gold), Andrianov for ten years was a leader not only the Soviet national team, but also the world of sports.

His first international success wasin 1971 at the European Championshipsin Madrid.Nikolai won two gold medals

Between 1971 and 1980 he won many international gymnastics competitions, including the Olympic Games, world Championships and European championships.

His Honours and Awards

-Order of Lenin- Order of the Badge of Honour- Order of the Red Banner of Labour- Medal “For Labour Valour”

He won 15 Olympic medals, and 23 medals at the World Championships and 17 European Championship

Andrianov was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall. His name was listed in the Guinness Book of Records

Between 1994 and 2002 Nikolai Andrianov coached Russian and Japan Olympic gymnastics teams

In 2002 he became a director of gymnastics
