RD - 718For Welding of 50 kgf/mm2 Class High Tensile Steel

DescriptionRD-718 is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode which has been designed for the use on heavyduty structures in all position. Itshydrogen content of weld metal isvery low and it has excellentmechanical properties. It’sdeposited rate and weldingeffeciency is high.

ApplicationsWelding of various heavy duty structures, thick plate structuresusing 50kgf/mm² class high tensilesteel.

Instructions for Welding1. Dry the electrodes at 300º~ 400ºC for 30 ~ 60 minutes before use.2. Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a start tab to prevent blowholes at the arc starting. 3. Keep the arc length as short as possible.
