Halton Theatre
20 Tickets: $19.00
Our Town is probably the finest
play ever written by an American,
says Edward Albee. With a bare
stage, a couple of chairs and a wise old stage
manager, Thornton Wilder created a timeless
drama that speaks to the heart of the human
experience. Since 1938 this funny and moving
journey through the lives of the people of
Grover’s Corners has captivated audiences all
over the world.

“Lunch & Learn” with Dietitian Kathy Weidner Tuesday, April 30, 2019
12:00 pm Garden Room
Topic: “Fun Filled Facts about Fiber!”
Did you know that there are really three types of FIBER in our diet?
Dietitians instructed clients for years on the two types of fiber:
soluble and insoluble. Well… the new updated fiber categories are:
Viscous, Fermentable (no not wine or beer!), and insoluble or non-fermentable
“bulking” fiber. Most Americans do not consume nearly the amount of fiber
recommended. Chick peas, dried beans, lentils and split peas contain all three types of
fiber making them fabulously full of fiber! Join me at Lunch & Learn where we will
learn about other foods rich in fiber and their role in nutrition and gut health.
*Please call Kathy Weidner, Cypress Dietitian for a reservation at 704-714-5551.

Tom Billotto Acoustic Guitarist and Vocalist
Wednesday, April 17, 2019
7:30 pm
Community Hall
More than 40 years of musical evolution
incorporating an eclectic blend of influences have produced Tom’s precise
and warm guitar and vocal style. “Charlotte’s Best” magazine voted him
“Best Local Acoustic” musician.
Tom’s repertoire is diverse and his sound is mellow and best-suited for easy-
listening venues and events. At the heart of this sound is Tom’s finger-style guitar
technique which uses the right hand to supply complex melody, rhythm and bass lines
simultaneously. Formal music studies in college culminated in a Music Performance
Degree in Classical Guitar and Voice. Further influenced by the genius of Chet
Atkins and countless jazz and classical virtuosi, and with vocal idols such as James
Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. *Sign up under #17 in the Activities Book.
