Bigger & better, the newEntopia is an illuminatingexperience into the world ofentomology. A majorredevelopment turned theoriginal 30,000 square feetpark into a 100,000 squarefeet facility. A unique ‘green’feature is the building facadepocketed by thousands ofplants, one of the largestgreen-wall in Malaysia. Inside,the park is divided into twoexperiences, The Natureland,a living garden vivarium andThe Cocoon, an interactiveexploration zone. As thelargest butterfly park in

Malaysia there are more than15,000 free-flying butterfliesat any one time, more than200 species of plants, andover 150 species of fauna,invertebrates and otheranimals. ECO-TOURISM HOTSPOT: ENTOPIA

PROPOSED TELUK BAHANG–PENANG HILL CABLE CAR

The Penang Hill Cable CarProject is a proposed cable carconnection that will start atthe Penang Botanic Gardenswith stops at Penang Hill andTeluk Bahang. The plannedcable car station in TelukBahang will be near theEscape theme park andEntopia eco-tourism hotspots— which is right next to ourresort. In the future, theproposed cable car could forman alternative mode oftransport to Teluk Bahang.The 8km cable car project issupported by the TourismMinistry and is a priorityproject under the 11thMalaysia Plan, 2016–2020.

Yanni possesses adiverse range of construction experiencewith the majority of his project roles andexperience being on-site supervision,stakeholder management, stakeholder co-ordination and overseeing the entiredelivery of projects from early foundationworks through to superstructure and fit-out.Yanni’s recent involvement in major hotelprojects include Project and ConstructionManager for the Intercontinental HotelResort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam andProgramme Manager for the Crowne PlazaHotel in Vientiane, Laos.

Sam is a well-qualified Project Managerspecialised in high-rise building, hotel &resort development and construction. He ispassionate about sustainability and is aregistered LEED (Leadership in Energy &Environment Design) AccreditedProfessional and GBI (Green Building Index)Facilitator and has ever since then, playinga key role in championing the sustainabilitydesign & construction for most of theprojects he involved. Sam was recentlyinvolved as the Project Manager for twomajor hotel projects, Plantation Hotel andHard Rock Hotel in Desaru Coast, Johor,Malaysia.
