NEWSLETTER (PRIMARY)
April-May (18-19) “Education is A shared commitment between dedicated
teachers, motivated students & enthusiastic parents” Dear Parent,
Wishing you to have a gala & joyful time with your children during summer holidays and all good health of our
dear students.
The session 2018-19 began with a great bang with lots of achievements credited in the glorious account of
school with your support and whole-hearted cooperation. We shall always look forward to your valuable
suggestions for the successful accomplishment of our endeavors in future too.
Your earnest efforts in guiding the children, monitoring their performance would highly be appreciable. The
students should be guided to complete their holiday homework on their own for occurring of meaningful
learning by them.
We expect you to guide the children to follow the guidelines and instructions mentioned on the cover page of
summer holiday homework for the completion of the same and groom them all in other various important areas
related to life skills.
Very Important
Make your ward aware that each working day in the school is significant for them, therefore you are requested
to send your ward regularly to the school and avoid absenteeism on the first and last working day.
Syllabus – For your convenience to understand the pattern of assessment, syllabus booklet has been provided
mentioning all the skills/areas to be observed/assessed along with each topic.
We are thankful to the parents for their good response and attendance on Orientation Day on 28th April’18 and
shall always look forward to your valuable suggestions for the successful accomplishments of our endeavors in
future too. For your doubts and queries you may meet the undersigned within the fixed timings mentioned
in the almanac.
Regular revision of the concepts taught in the class is mandatory. Skills like Spellings, Tables and Mental
Math’s etc will be observed regularly.

month of July & August
Mount Abu School Receives Academic and Educational Excellence Award 2017-18

Rohini became the proud recipient of
the Award of the Institution of the Year
2017-18 for its Academic and
Educational Excellence. The award
ceremony organised by Silver Zone
Foundation, to present the awards to
around 30 well known schools,
witnessed the presence of numerous
educationists and winners of Silver zone
Olympiads from all over the country at
India Islamic Cultural Centre, Delhi.

Arora was felicitated with an
Educationist Award 2017-18 for her
continuous effort in bringing
innovations in the methods of imparting
a quality education to the children thus
taking the school to the pinnacle of
success.

the successful completion of 20 years of Excellence in Education
The school celebrated its Foundation Day on 13
April 2018 highlighting the successful
completion of 20 years of its Excellence in
Education. The celebration that witnessed the
presence of Honourable Managing Director Shri
Bharat Arora, commenced with the lighting of
lamp and Hawan ceremony followed by the
cultural presentations and speech by the young
MAPians. The Principal addressed the
gathering and congratulated all the members of the
school for the diverse achievements that the school
has been conquering since its inception in the year
1998 and blessed them for the future endeavours.
The programme also witnessed the token of
appreciation and recognition for those associated
with the school since the day of its establishment.
The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks
by the coordinator Ma’am. Class I to V had various activities to celebrate the
foundation day of the school depicting
achievements of school and its multifaceted efforts
to excel in the field of education.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT PRIMARY, MIDDLE & SECONDARY LEVEL
The School held its Investiture Ceremony
for the Secondary, Middle level and
Primary level where in Captains and Vice
Captains for different posts were appointed
from both the levels and adorned with
sachet and badges. The Principal, in her
speech, emphasized on the importance of
discipline and dignity of the individual and
the school. The incoming Council members
took an oath promising definite change for
better tomorrow with great conviction and
confidence in their voice.
Orientation Programme
A Parent orientation for Classes I-V was organised
in Mount Abu Public School on 28 of April
2018. The programme was started by a Welcome
address by respected Principal Madam, Mrs. Jyoti
Arora, highlighting the significant role of the parents
in child's academic journey and the proud
accomplishments of the school.
A movie based on healthy communication between
the parents and their children was also shown to the
parents followed by a session taken by the School
counselor on the measures of effective parenting. A
detailed information about the school, its mission and vision, work habits, evaluation and
assessment procedures was given to the
parents. They were also informed about the
transport system, school's rules and
regulations, class library etc. They were
updated about the snap homework,
blogs, Olympiads, clubs, competitions which
are conducted in the school for the all-round
development of the children. The programme
ended with a vote of thanks by the Coordinator,
Primary Wing, Mrs. Suneja Madam. It was
really an informative session for the parents
and an initiative to strengthen the bond between
the school and the home.
Road Safety Week Road Safety Week was celebrated on 27th April
by the students of Classes 1 to 5 in School
premises. It was a great day for students to learn
and value traffic signs and rules we follow in our
daily lives. Safety means protecting ourselves
from any danger that may hurt us or endanger our
lives. Practising road safety measures is very good
and safe for all people all through the life.
Everyone should respect others while driving or
walking on the road and take care of their safety.

WORLD EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Mount Abu Public School, Sector-5
Rohini celebrated the World Earth Day
on 21st April 2018 on the theme “Go
Green – Go Clean” with the support
of Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of
Indiaand in association with Millennium India
Education Foundation to demonstrate support
for environmental protection. Shri Ashok Saha,
Scientist B, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt.
of India and Dr. Uday Kakroo, Director
Millennium India Education
Foundation graced the occasion. A Series
of Inter School competitions like Fancy
Dress, Slogan Writing, Poem Enactment
& Painting Competition were held. The
Principal of the school inspired the
participants to promote sustainability to
make a difference.
FIRE MOCK DRILL
Mock Fire and Evacuation Drill involving
students and fire fighters was conducted at
Mount Abu Public School on 18/04/2018,
Wednesday to create awareness among the
student community of firefighting
techniques and the ways to respond swiftly
in times of such emergency situation. Fire
Safety officers from Fire Station Rohini
organized this mock drill for our students. They
explained and demonstrated various improvised
methods being followed by them to rescue and
evacuate people caught in such emergency
situation besides explaining the ways to operate
the fire extinguishers safely. Water canon was
used to demonstrate the extinguishing the fire
with water guns. The children were guided to
adhere to the evacuation time and take safety
measures seriously.

Wellness Pro-Program By
Wellness Wave Foundation
The wellness wave foundation organized a
program for children focusing on importance of
health and yoga in our lives. It was an interactive
session constituting of various exercises and
asanas. They provided children with handful
information about How to be Physically,
Mentally and Spiritually wealthy. Children
gained insight about their Health & Wellness,
and the Program was a Huge Success.
RHYME PRESENTATION
Students of class 1 & 2 participated in poem
presentation on 14.5.18 for the month of April. They
have learnt different poems in their respective
classes. They recited the poem with full confidence
and with proper actions. They brought beautiful
props and enjoyed the session well.
RABINDRANATH TAGORE JAYANTI A Special Assembly was conducted by Class 4
A on the theme Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti on
2nd May 2018. The students participated
enthusiastically with a poem recitation, thought
and speech on Rabindranath Tagore highlighting
his qualities, achievements and work. The
students also performed a dance to pay tribute to
this multifaceted personality. The assembly was
an effort to make the students aware of his
contribution, the way he gave a new
dimension to Indian literature and music in late
19th and 20th centuries.
Labour Day and Red Cross Day
Special Assembly was conducted by Class V-
D on the theme Labour Day and Red Cross
Day on 27th April 2018. The assembly
highlighted the importance of helpers and
their roles in our lives. The students presented
a skit to spread the awareness about the noble
work undertaken by the Red Cross society. A
highly enriching poem presentation
showcased the need to acknowledge the
contribution of helpers in the development of our
society. Further the helpers of school maids,
gardener, electrician etc were honored in the
assembly for their services and devotion towards
their work. The assembly concluded with the
address by the coordinator who appreciated the
assembly students and guided the young learners
to develop respect and sensitivity for the helpers and the
people in need. Earth Day
Earth Day was celebrated in the Special Assembly
conducted by Students of Class 1 and 2 on 20 April 2018 in
the School
Premises. It
was a great day
to showcase
environmental
education and
highlight the
issues related
to the earth
then children showed their concern by depicting
different roles related to mother earth and provide
required solutions for the same. Children
participated with full zeal and zest.They came up
with beautiful costumes and innovative props.
"Because we at MAPS believe that together we can make everyday Earth Day and each one of
us can make a difference".
Creative Thinking & Creative Writing Skills A workshop on creative writing and thinking skills was conducted on 23rd May 2018. The
resource person Mr. Kulpreet Yadav emphasized that great teachers inspire the children by their
personality behavior and way of teaching. The workshop was an enriching one which paved away
to the teachers to enhance students’ creativity and develop their thinking skills.
Sensitizing teachers
towards children with
special needs
A Session was conducted with teachers to inform
them about the children with special needs and
how learning disability affects them. Various types
of disabilities and along with their signs were
discussed.
Session with Extramarks
A workshop on Extramarks was conducted
on 5th May by a resource person from
extramarks. Teachers were guided about the
features of the extramarks module and how
teachers can use those features efficiently in
their classes. It was an informative session
for all the teachers.
