MONTHLY NEWSLETTER OF RCCG PLACE OF VICTORY FOR ALL NATIONS
MARCH 2011 – VOLUME 2
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. – 1 Cor.13:2
Firstly, we welcome and celebrate two beautiful
baby girls born to the families of Ogundipe and
Chukwunwike on the Jan. 27th and Jan 30th
respectively. Mothers, babies and fathers are fine
and treasuring the gift of parenthood. The Lord is
ever faithful and we give Him praise.
Marriage and family is God’s plan: It’s the
foundation upon which He increases the earth
and brings about His plans and purposes for
mankind.
As the world was busy celebrating Valentine’s day
in February, the Church - one of God’s agencies
here on earth - celebrated marriage and God’s
love.
The adversary loves to wage war against
whatever is of God but we know that he is
fighting a lost battle for the bible assures us in
Romans 8:37: "Nay, in all these things we are
more than conquerors through him that loved
us."
Though the statistics on marriages are not
encouraging, the Church continues to soldier on
in strengthening the stakes.
March – Fireproof Your Marriage!!! Marriage is an institution ordained by God and the Church is committed to its success. Following the
success of our valentine weekend events, many couples have signed up for a six weeks study forum to
further ‘fireproof their marriages’. Marriage is a covenant, not a mere contract and it is incumbent
upon us to quit demanding contractual terms and continue to offer ourselves sacrificially in our
marriages. With both spouses sacrificially giving, both their needs will be met. You cannot afford to
miss this 6 weeks journey to deeper intimacy and better understanding of yourself and your spouse.
This forum is highly recommended as part of the Church’s commitment to you and your marriage.
Marriage ought not to be built only on the romantic
(erotic) kind of love, but must be established on
sacrificial (agape) love. This kind of love is the love
that can only be understood through an intimate
relationship with Jesus. It is the love of God. Having
received this kind of love through our reconciliation
with the Father, we are then able to give our
spouse this kind of love. This kind of love goes all
the way to protect and to cherish, to honor and to
respect.
The love of God, though given, is never forced and
though abused, is ever forgiving. Remember, true
love never fails – 1 Cor. 13:8; true love forgives
easily; true love thinks the best of the other person;
true love makes excuses and true love never gives
up. John 3:16 states For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. For God so loved the world that He
gave sacrificially. Have you received His kind of
love?
What kind of love do you know and what kind of
love are you giving? Remember you cannot give
what you don’t have. Receive the free love of Christ
today.

Financial Empowerment Deut. 8:18 - But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
There are many misconceptions
about money and one of the
greatest lies about money is the
one which Satan has propounded
over the years. The saying goes
thus: ‘Money is the root of all evil’.
The truth, as revealed in the
scriptures is that the love of
money is the root of evil and not
money itself (1 Tim. 6:10).
Money is only an enabler. It
enables a person’s plans, whether
good or evil, helping to bring
vision to reality. It can also enable
people to indulge in excesses.
You may have heard it said that
just as fire is a bad master yet a
good servant, so also is money.
Money has mastered many and
continues to wreak havoc in many
homes and relationships.
The bible teaches in Matt.
6:24 that anyone controlled by
money is unable to be free to
worship and serve God but
instead ends up despising the
Lord God their maker.
It is easy to fall into the trap of
always wanting more and
putting the desire and quest
for money above all things to
the detriment of relationships
and, ultimately, ones salvation.
The scripture in Deut 8:18
makes a very strong statement
that should help Christians
navigate the issue of money
and put it in proper
perspective. This scripture calls
us to remember the Lord,
never forgetting that He
created all things, including
wealth; He gives/gave you the
Proverbs 22:17 “A merry heart does
good like medicine”
As the boat was sinking, the skipper lifted his voice to ask: "Does anybody know how to
pray?"
One man spoke confidently in answer:
"Yes, Captain, I do."
The captain nodded. "That's all right then," he declared. "You go ahead and pray. The rest of us will put on life-jackets. They're one short."
ability to get it; your wealth has
a purpose.
God loves to bless His children
who have discovered the Godly
purpose for wealth and who
also fully understood the
responsibility of being a good
steward of what He has given.
As Christians, we have a
responsibility to increase our
knowledge of financial matters
so that we might become good
and wise stewards of the
resources God places in our
hands.
To this end, I recommend to
you the Financial Empowerment
Seminar. Make plans to attend
and get empowered.
