Welcome to the 2016 – 2017 school year here at the district. We are really excited about the upcoming year. We have done a lot of work over the summer and it feels really good to have the students back on campus as we kick off the school year. As you will see, the elementary school landscaping was completed over the summer and the inside of the previously unfinished building is also very close to being 100% complete. The library is the only space currently unfinished and is still on schedule to finish on or before October 1 st . This is a really exciting time for the district in that we have started the year with a record enrollment, 360 students K-12! While most Montana communities of our size are struggling with declining enrollments, we are experiencing the opposite in trying to keep up with enrollment increases in form of facilities, personnel and program. Lastly, the Student/Parent handbook came home earlier this week and we highly encourage you to sit down and read this closely with your student(s). There are some changes that especially effect the Middle School and High School students. For an informative and entertaining introduction to those changes, please click this link for a short video. Have a great Labor Day weekend, and again, welcome to the school year. In Partnership, Dustin Shipman

Coffee for your thoughts? By participating in the community needs assessment survey, you will help your community better understand the emerging and on-going needs within Gallatin, Park, and Meagher counties. The in-formation gathered will provide the Human Resources Develop-ment Council (HRDC) and other community organizations with information as to who and what partners/agencies may be working on issues and where gaps in community services lie. This assessment offers a focus on local conditions and an analysis of the opportunities and barriers for all of its residents. Every re-spondent will receive a gift card to Higher Ground Coffee and be entered into a drawing for a $200 grocery gift certificate!

The survey is live now and open through September 15th http://www.thehrdc.org/news-info/community-needs-assessment/
