Dear Parents/Guardians,

It was lovely to catch up with different students over the week and recon-nect with them. I was very impressed with their unso-licited thoughtfulness and spontaneous kindness that I

witnessed throughout the week to not only to their friends but also to those not in their close friendship group!

On Thursday we had a spontaneous visit from WorkSafe in regards to the processes and practises that we have implemented to respond to the CoVID pandemic. The WorkSafe representative sought to under-stand the different routines that have been implemented and then chose to check out several areas to see if in fact the procedures discussed where working. At the conclusion of the visit the WorkSafe officer stated that he was very pleased with what he saw and heard, however he would like to see a sign on our front gate directing visiting adults to wear a mask on entry. I would like to thank each family for responding positively to the different requests that we have made throughout the year because our positive WorkSafe report was a reflection of our co-ordinated response with you.

Over the past month our groundsman Mr Joe Tassone, has been exceptionally busy completing the following projects;*moving irrigation lines to make allowances for Stage 3 building project to commence,*installing a new irrigation system for an ad-ditional oval,* finishing landscaping work around the new building and,* constructing a boundary fence between Henderson College and the property closest to Fifteenth Street. If you have noticed the neat and well kept school grounds of late that is a result of Joe’s dedication and attention to detail.

This week our Year 10 students will be spiri-tually encouraging students across all year levels through song, actions and inspira-tional talks each morning. If you would like to join us you are most welcome.

Flu Symptoms ProtocolPlease be aware that any students showing flu like symptoms will be sent home as per our school protocol. Thank you for your understanding and diligence in keeping our students & staff healthy.

Today I attended the first WOSE session for the week and Heather Macgillivray, Yr 10 student, spoke to us about hopelessness, which is a very fitting topic for how some of us might be feeling

right now. This year has been a really hard one for many people and at times it has been overwhelming. Heather explained that even though we may not feel it due to our circumstances and what we are going through, God is always there for us and has a plan for us.

Sometimes people drift away from God during times of trial as they feel let down by God but it is important to remember that it is not God causing the difficult things that we have to endure, it is sin. God does not want us to endure hardship and pain, that was not His plan.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” de-clares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
