The Fleetwood BIA Team would like to wish everyone a very happy Canada Day on this 150th Anniversary Celebration! We hope that everyone had a great long weekend of family fun and joined in on the Canada festivities. The BIA team had some great time in the sunshine over the weekend, and is back fully charged at the office.

New Website Launch

As part of the City of Surrey’s Public Safety Stratey, the Fleetwood BIA partnered with the City and researchers from the University of Fraser Valley to develop a safety questionnaire for our members. The Fleetwood BIA team of SFU students attended a training session at the City on how to conduct the survey with local businesses. The survey has been designed to gather information which will be used to assess the safety of business’s property, employees and customers. The students are now visiting business owners and managers to complete as many surveys as possible.

Your feedback is very important to us and once we have completed the surveys, the City, RCMP and BIAs will work collectively to develop responses to the issues identified.  The Fleetwood BIA team would like to thank the business community of Fleetwood for their patience and cooperation in taking this survey, as it helps us support you in creating an incredible community in Fleetwood and one of the best places to do business in Surrey.  Read more from the City of Surrey on the Business Safety Survey and Public Safety.

The Fleetwood BIA team collaborated with Stride Graphics to create our association’s new website. The team has worked hard to create an interactive and engaging site that serves as a hub for business owners and community members alike. Some features of the new website include an interactive map, a business directory, resources for all, and much more! 

“We hope that our new website can be a central online platform for members of the Fleetwood community and local businesss to find resources and useful information about the neighborhood,” Megan McMahon, Intern at the Fleetwood BIA.

The BIA is still currently adding businesses to the website’s business directoy. If you would like to have your buinesses listed, please email us or send us a request through our website.

Organized by the Fleetwood Community Centre, the 19th Annual Fleetwood Community Festival is happening in September! The Festival is a fantastic annual event for the Fleetwood community to unite and enjoy a day of fun filled activities for all ages.

Fleetwood Fathers Day BBQ Bash!Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our fathers day BBQ in Francis Park, Fleetwood.
