Slide to see more. 14th November 2014 Dear ISHCMC Parents, I am currently seeking a person for a new position as a Korean/English translator, and to support various translation functions within the School. There may be someone interested who can speak/read/write more languages than these two. That would be an advantage. The work will only be during days when students attend our school during the year. Please find attached a Job Description. If you have an interest in this area please email your interest direct to me ([email protected]) and include your Resume. The deadline is Thursday 20th November. Please note that to obtain a work permit it is essential that the successful applicant holds at minimum a bachelor’s degree. Simon Leslie Headmaster BOOK WEEK It was wonderful to go around the school and see students and adults reading. Whether it was secondary students reading to primary students, Admin readers or parents sharing books in different languages there was a buzz around the school. The decorated classroom doors celebrated different aspects of reading from favourite authors, book characters or a visible thinking routine, Tug of War, in grade 3 between traditional books and e-readers. It seems everyone enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book character or author and the assembly was filled with excitement as contest winners were announced. Congratulations to Guess the Teacher Reader contest winners Nam Phuong Pham (Fiona -1D) and Qian Yi Neogh (5A); 55 words contest winners Clara Ho 4B (G2-5), Tanisha Verma 7D-2 (G6-8) Van Anh Kieu 10A-1 (G9-11) and G1A and G2C for the Primary Door Decorating Contest and for the Secondary Door Decorating Contest Ms. Ferreira’s G7 & 8 class and Grade 11’s Great Gatsby.
