Newsletter Holiday Countries & Techniques This newsletter is all about the different techniques that are possible using Starform Stickers. How about making patterns with sticker mosaic, stickers on parchment or embroidering stickers? With one sticker there are so many creative ways to make beautiful cards. Because summer is coming up and it’s about time to make your Holiday plans, this newsletter has the special theme ‘holiday countries & techniques’. My Fair Lady Especially for everyone that loves the classic English dresses, Starform has a beautiful Vintage Outline Stickers collection. The famous Charleston dress, the classic my fair lady outfit, this series has it all. To give more depth to your designs the dresses can be build up in 3D. Every sticker sheet has multiple parts that can be layered. Just place the 3D parts on a contrasting colour paper or patterned paper. Cut the 3D parts out and place them on the dress using foam pads. Delft Blue One of the most famous Dutch products is Delft Blue; small porcelain tiles with typical Dutch hand-painted drawings. Starform has a variety of Dutch Stickers, that can be used for making beautiful cards. An original technique is using the negative parts of the stickers (the left-over parts when the stickers is removed) as shown in the example. To transfer the negative parts onto the work piece there are Starform Transfer Sheets. Using the transfer sheet it is possible to transfer the entire sticker in just one go. What’s also a great idea is colouring stickers. The original silver sticker is coloured blue using Starform Permanent Markers. With these markers you can easily give stickers any colour you like. It’s impressive to see the large men in their characteristic shirts. How about making a card that is in the shape of this shirt? This is easily done by cutting the shape out of the card. The only thing you have to do is draw the shirt on the back of the card and carefully cut it out. The card is so easy to make but truly unique! Then you most certainly would like to see the original kimonos. These traditional dresses are worn by Japanese women for official occasions and are well known all around the world. The kimonos come in a variety of fabrics, including fabrics with special patterns. You can add real stitching by embroidering the stickers! Every sticker contains a pre-printed pattern that can be embroidered in many different ways. Experiment with coloured papers and different sorts of thread. The kimono will get an original look.
