    CREATING THE FUTURE April-2012Volume-III

    Shri.Harshad Patel

    To all colleagues,

    The last six months have

    been particularly difficult as

    the market that we serve

    has not grown. We must

    focus seriously on improving

    productivity. It is very

    important to distinguish

    between cause and effect.

    Reduction in cost and

    improvement in Quality, are

    the effects of working

    Lean, which is the cause.

    We need to apply ourselves

to the cause to achieve the

    effect. The desired result

    cannot be achieved by

    working longer hours. I urge

    the business unit heads to

lead the teams in the Lean

    manufacturing effort.

    Please do give your

    suggestions of what the

    Company can do to advance

your career as well as to

    improve the knowledge

    sharing and learning in theCompany.

    God Bless us all.
