The congregation of academicians helped in creating very positive vibes in the academic industry. In all18 academicians of repute including Dr. Vinay Sheel Gautam, Sr. Advisor KPMG and Founder Director IIM K, Dr. T V Rao, Chairman TVRL and Former Professor IIM A, among the most renowned name in management education, Dr. C P Srimali, Director MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Ganesh M Prabhu, Professor Strategy, IIM B, Dr. Atanu Ghosh, Prof. Strategy SOM , IIT Mumbai, Dr. Punam Sehgal, former dean IIM Lucknow, Dr. Srini R. Srinivasan, faculty Jamnalal Bajaj Mumbai and many others from MDI, IMI, IMT, joined us during the conference. .

st01 April, 2016: Inaugural Session The conference was jointly inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Vinayshil Gautam, Sr Advisor KPMG, Founder Director IIM K and First Head of Management Department, IIT Delhi and keynote speaker Dr. C P Shrimali, Director, MDI Gurgaon and Shri B. K. Arora, Secretary, I.T.S The Education Group. Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director Management delivered the welcome address followed by Conference overview by Dr. Anita Mathew.

Technical Session 1:The first technical session was on Financing, Marketing and Capability Building to accelerate competitiveness. Dr. Ajay Pandit, Former Professor, FMS, Delhi University, Dr. Ganesh M Prabhu, Professor- Strategy , IIM Bangalore and Dr. Deepak Tandon, Professor- Finance, IMI, New Delhi were the speakers of the session.

Technical Session 2:The second technical session was on Strategic Drivers for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Business. Dr. Shailendra Nigam, Professor- HR, IMI New Delhi, Dr. V. J. Sebastian, from IMT Ghaziabad and Mr. C. K. Sabharwal, MD Crop Health addressed the gathering and answered the questions of the participants.

Technical Session 3: The second day of the conference took off with deliberations on another exiting theme “Management Challenges to engage with New Order Stakeholders” with the prolific academicians like Dr. Atanu Ghosh from SJMIMS, IIT Mumbai, Dr. Srini R Srinivasan from Jamna Lal Bajaj Institute, Mumbai, Dr. Shobha Kulshretha, Renowned Consultant in International Business Area and Dr. Deepak Singh, Director HR, KPMG.Technical Session 4:Dr. Punam Sahgal, VP HR National Institute of Smart Govt., Dr. Ganesh M Prabhu from IIM B and Dr. Rishiraj Singh, Director, NIESBUD discussed in length on Emerging Business models to drive growth in India. The speakers of the session talked about the opportunities and challenges involved in managing with the emerging business models based on IT platform. Technical Session 5:Dr. T. V. Rao, Chairman, TVRLS, Former Professor IIM A, Dr. Kavita Singh, Professor-OB, FMS, Delhi University, Dr. Debi Saini, Professor HR, MDI, Gurgaon, Dr. A. M. Sherry, Head & Dean, HCL Talent Care discussed the issues related to the theme Technology, Society and Social change in India. The conference received huge response from research scholars, academicians and industry participants. Over 200 research papers were received. 151 abstract and 6 theme papers got included in conference proceedings published by Bloomsbury, a well known publication house. There were 66 selected paper presentations from close to 45 institutions including papers from IIM Kashipur, BHU, Jamia Islamia, RGIIT Kerala, amongst many others in six different tracks with session chairs of Professors from IIM B, IIT B, Jamna Lal Bajaj, Mumbai, IMI, Delhi and IMT Ghaziabad. 111 delegates and 18 speakers attended the Conference, which included 22 international delegates from Ghana, Butan, Kambodia, Peru, Russia, Namibia, Zimbabwe also.

I.T.S Mohan Nagar Campus organized 'TRIVIA 2016' – 1st Inter Corporate Quiz April 30, 2016With immense pleasure, we wish to share that I.T.S Mohan Nagar Campus successfully organized 'TRIVIA 2016' – 1st Inter Corporate Quiz on Saturday 30th April 2016, at Chanakya Auditorium, I.T.S Mohan Nagar. The seed of first corporate quiz at I.T.S that was sown by Honorable Vice Chairman sir few months back, left its footprints with remarkable participation of Forty one teams (41 teams) of renowned Quizzers cum corporate professionals from various PSU's & Private companies representing diversified sectors like Power & Energy, Banking & Financial, Telecommunication , Media & Entertainment, Automobile, Travel & Tourism, Real Estate, FMCG and IT sector with leading Online digital marketing companies. The competition was registered on an online portal dare2compete.com that gave a wide publicity and visibility to our event among quizzers. We received registrations from more than 50 companies including renowned companies and PSU's like Indian Oil Ltd, Bharat PetroleumCorporation Limited, NTPC, BSES Rajdhani, Bombay Stock Exchange, Maruti Udyog Limited, Honda Motors, HDFC Bank, Jubilant Fresh, HCL Technologies, Siemens, Investors Clinic, 9X Media, Times Business Solutions, Mattel, Primetel, Rate Gain Travel Technologies, Landis & Gyr, Genpact, TCS and many others. The event started with an Inaugural ceremony followed by an elimination written round out of which top 12 teams compete amongst themselves in two semi-final rounds. Finally, top 6 teams contend in final round to grab winning positions. Mr. Kunal Savarkar, renowned quiz master conducted the show in a spell binding manner while keeping audience at the edge of their seats. The teams showcased their out of the box skills with a great mix of talent, energy and enthusiasm. Mr. Rajesh Bansal, Head, Reliance Network Operations, Delhi in the capacity of Chief Guest and Dr. A.P Dash, General Manager, PMI, NTPC Ltd, Noida in the capacity of Guest of Honor graced the occasion. The Winner's trophy and cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- was grabbed by BIG SYNERGY MEDIA LTD. and emerged as first Prize winner of the competition. Second position was clutched by HCL TECHNOLOGIES and won cash prize of Rs. 18,000/-, 1st Runner Up trophy. INDIAN OIL CORP. L29TD stood at third position and lifted 2nd Runner Up trophy with cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-. 'BSE Institute Best Quizzardo Male' of Rs. 5000/- was grabbed by MR. SANISH FROM RATE GAIN TRAVELS and 'BSE Institute Best Quizzardo Female' of Rs. 5000/- by MS. ANUSHA FROM DENAVE INDIA. All the semi-finalists and finalists were awarded with certificates and attractive gifts. There were many fabulous prizes awarded to audience for online rounds. I.T.S Mohan Nagar initiated an Industrial Visit for BBA II year students to BSE, Delhi on May 05, 2016. The Manager of BSE Delhi introduced their team and the purpose of visit. The students were briefed about the working of BSE .The team encouraged the students to start investing at an early age for growth of one's wealth and the economy. BSE also discussed about the various investing tools and areas of investments . To make the session more interesting, they showed the real time charts and indexes of various stock prices listed.

thThe objective of this session was to provide an opportunity to BCA 6 Semester Students, to meet & interact with the MCA alumni serving in leading organizations and get their queries resolved. Six I.T.S-MCA alumni namely Mr. Amit Chaudhary, SDG, Mr. Amit Sharma, Ms. Indirani Vishwas, Nivio, Ms. Yukti Chopra, Mercer and Mr. Gautam Bagga, Wipro Technologies were the expert panelists in this session. The session started with formal ice breaking by Prof. Priyanka Sadhna. Prof. Puja Dhar encouraged students to come up with their questions, doubts and other issues that they would be having regarding their future & career options.Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey, Director (IT) welcomed all the alumni & BCA students and explained the agenda of the session. He also cleared many doubts of undergraduate students. The experts from industry enlightened the students regarding various career myths while choosing a career option. The experts from industry advised all the BCA students to prepare their road-maps of their career so that they can act accordingly. The session was interactive and UG students raised their queries and these were properly addressed by the Alumni Experts. Overall the session was enjoyed and appreciated by all the participants.

I.T.S –.UG campus organised an Industry Visit to Bombay Stock Exchange Delhi Office for BBA StudentsMay 5, 2016

They provided two complementary books on "A guide to investors" and a Q&A on "Demat - The CDSL way" at the end of the session and gave an opportunity to have an open discussion on any queries of the students regarding the stock market. The session lasted for about 2 hours and covered all related information regarding investments, stock market and their operations.The visit was informative and gave a practical insight into the stock market world. All the students were thankful to I.T.S for such a wonderful visit to BSE.

I.T.S - UG Campus organized an Industry visit to YAKULT for BBA and BCA First year Students

9th May 2016An Industry Visit was organized for BBA and BCA First Year students in YAKULT- The largest probiotic liquid milk plant. The objective behind this tour was to provide students about working culture of Industry. Students visited the Yakult plant, Sonepat Haryana along with two faculty members. They welcomed the students with complementary Yakult Probiotic drinks and Choclote Biscuits at the start of the session. They presented a PPT and a video to provide the information about the making of Yakult drink and its benefits for the users. Students also visited the Plant area with a supervisor and a guide to see the operational activities such as quality testing, bottle filling, packaging etc.The visit was very informative and gave a live & practical insight of operational activities with updated technology. All the students were thankful to ITS for such a wonderful visit.

I.T.S Mohannagar initiated a trip for BBA 4th semester students to HCL Infosystems Noida .The Session Started with Ms Prachi the HR Manager at HCL Infosystems with an overview about HCL . The students were briefed about Their Tag line “ Touching lives “ through various videos . Ms Prachi apprised the Students about the various sectors which not many people know off. To name a few – HCL has generated more than 1 billion Unique identities which makes it the worlds largest Identity management project --- AADHAR; HCL has more than 1800 channel partners,300+ consumer support walk in centre , 80,000+ retail outlets across 7,500 towns , 8.5 million Rural citizens enrolled in the banking systems through Financial inclusion. The second session was by Ms. Shilpi, Brand Manager for HCL Infosystems . Ms Shilpi discussed about the various ingredients required to build a Brand she explained the brand building concept with the help of videos . The visit was informative and gave an Insight about HCL Company and also about the brand building concept .

May 11, 2016thA Special Session on “Smart Cities & Smart Villages” was organized at the institute on 11 May, 2016. The experts for the session were

internationally renowned Smart City experts, Mr. Renato de Castro, Executive Director, Baumann Consultancy Network, Padova Area, Italy and Mr Bhagwan Kommadi, Group CTO, Voyzon Technologies, Hyderabad & Founder - Architect Corner. The event formally started with the lamp lighting by Shri Arpit Chadha, Honorable Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, Guests, Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey – Director (IT) and Dr. Umang Singh - Event Coordinator.In his opening remark, Vice-chairman- I.T.S-The Education Group, Shri Arpit Chadha welcomed the guests and said that in present context when Government has strong emphasis on the creation of Smart Cities for improving quality of life and facilities, it is very important, as a citizen to understand and contribute at our own individual level to make it happen and sustain. Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey, The Director (IT) of the instit29ute discussed various ways and means to ensure a sustainable global development. In his addresses, Mr Renato de Castro elaborated the idea of “Smart Cities & Smart Villages”. He discussed how natural resource management, environment conditions, policies and economic power have shaped the cities and directly influenced the modern urban style. He provided a detailed insight about global cities. Mr. Renato also interacted with students and faculty members of the Institute and addressed their queries. Mr Bhagwan Kommadi, CTO Voyzon Technologies and Founder Architect Corner talked about the directions in which County is heading and how the technology can help in meeting the aspirations of people. He emphasized about the need of innovation which can ensure the reach of technology and its benefits to the common man. It was a wonderful learning experience for students of MCA and faculty members to listen and interact with veteran global experts.

thPGDM Students (2016-18) Batch went for Industry visit to Mother Diary on 18 July 2016 as a part of industry interaction during orientation program “ASPIRATION-2016”. Forty eight students were accompanied by two faculty members, Prof. Nitin Saxena and Dr. Puneet Kumar. At Mother Diary there was a warm welcome by Mr. Ashok, Public Relationship Manager, Mother Diary Patparganj Delhi. He made a detailed presentation about Mother Diary history, reason behind the establishment and other aspects. He explained with collection of milk in various district and state centres till the distribution. Later students were taken for a plant visit showing collection, standardization and Pasteurization processes. At the end he greeted students with Ice creams and delicious flavored milk.

Industry visit by PGDM students (Batch 2016-18) to Mother Diary

July 18, 2016

Management Department of Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad organized an industrial visit to Bhushan Steel Plant, Sahibabad on th18 July 2016, for its new batch of PGDM students (2016-18). Initially a video was shown by company personnel at Bhushan Steel Plant,

Sahibabad conference room followed by visit to production site and observation of various machine and their mechanism was briefed to the students. During the visit the process flow of HR Steel Sheets, supplied from Bhushan Steel Orrisa Plant was explained. The visit was guided under the mentorship of Prof. Alok Singh, Prof. Bhavna Bhardwaj and Dr. Shuchita Singh.

Department of IT Organized “SAMAGRA-2016”— An Inter-Institutional Techno-Cultural Fest

April 8, 2016Department of I.T, I.T.S, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad organized “SAMAGRA-

2016, an inter-institutional Techno-Cultural Fest onApril 08, 2016. The event

received registration from 73 institutes in various activities and witnessed huge

participation from institutes of NCR and far off places like Gaya, Lucknow,

Moradabad, Meerut etc with about 477 participants. The event comprised of 14

activities under four categories including Technical, Cultural, Literary and Fine

Arts. The event was full of fun, great display of talent, commitment, high class

performances in all the categories.

SAMAGRA-2016 was inaugurated by lamp lightening by Honorable Vice

Chairman, I.T.S - The Education Group, Shri. Arpit Chadha, Chief Guest, Dr.

M.N Hoda Chairman Division-1 Computer Society of India & Director

BVICAM, New Delhi, Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey & SAMAGRA

Coordinators Prof. Saurabh Saxena, Prof. Puja Dhar & Prof. Varun Arora.

The events were categorized into four heads. Under Technical category, there

were 4 activities namely C-Twister for C- Programming Contest , Java Junkies

for on-the-spot Java programming, Web Rachna for Web Designing, Brain

Booster for IT quiz. Under Cultural category, there were three 3 activities as

Aalap for Solo Singing, Aja Nach Le for Solo Dance and Taal Se Taal Mila for

duet dance. Under Fine Arts category, there were 5 events as Rangavali for

Rangoli, Heena for Mehandi and Mukhota for Face Painting, T-Shirt Painting &

Tattoo making. Under Literature category there were 2 activities as Sansad for

Debate Competition & a very interesting activity the Young Photographer of the

day.

Many colleges from NCR and outside NCR participated in SAMAGRA-2016.

At the end of the event, I, II and III winners for all the activities were awarded

with cash prizes. Awards were distributed to all the winners of this event by

Director-IT, Dr. Sunil Kr. Pandey & Internal & external Judges. On this

occasion, Coordinators of SAMAGRA-2016, Prof. Saurabh Saxena, Prof. Puja

Dhar, Prof. Varun Arora and Faculty Members of Dept of IT were also present.

The whole event was full of fun and enjoyment.

The CONVOCATION – 2016 for recently passed out Batches of MCA & MBA Courses of the Institute was organized on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the institute in Chanakya Auditorium. Shri Vipin Tyagi, Executive Director & Chairman of Board, C-DOT and Shri Vijay Iyer, Chief Business Officer & Head – TalentCare, HCL Corporation were present as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor. On this occasion, Dr. D.V. Singh, Chairman - Academic Council of I.T.S, Ghaziabad, Dr. R.P. Chadha, Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, Members of Academic Council of I.T.S Ghaziabad – Dr. M.P. Gupta, Dr. Ajay Pandit and Shri Manoj Tandon, Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey, Director (IT), Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director (Management), Prof. Puja Dhar, Coordinator – MCA Program were also present. The Convocation procession entered at the CONVOCATION Venue at 11.00 AM. The CONVOCATION formally commenced with the permission of Dr. R.P. Chadha, Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group and lighting of lamp before Goddess Saraswati by Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, Chairman Academic Council & Saraswati Vandana. The Director (IT), Dr. Sunil Kr Pandey presented the Institute's Annual Report and welcomed the Guests present. In his address Dr. D.V. Singh, Chairman – Academic Council of I.T.S Ghaziabad greeted the Degree Recipients and said that the Convocation is a formal recognition of hard work, dedication of years of the students. While addressing the gathering Chief Guest of the Convocation, Sh. Vipin Tyagi, Executive Director & Chairman Board, C-DOT , advised the awardees to have a vision to shape their destinies and the destiny of their nation. Guest of Honor, Sh. Vijay A.Iyer, Chief Business Officers & Head –TalentCare, HCL Corp. while addressing the degree awardees congratulated them for their degrees and he said that Convocation is the way stationed on each awardee journey of life-long learning. On the auspicious occasion Toppers of MCA and MBA were also felicitated by the dignitaries which included Ashwariya Acharya who secured first position in MCA, Anamika and Shweta Garg securing second and third positions at the institute level while as Ms. Anjali Negi secured first position in MBA and Bhawana Bhardwaj, Manendra Pratap Singh secured second and third position in MBA at the institute level. These all students were felicitated with Gold, Silver & Bronze medals and certificates. After the vote of thanks, National Anthem was chanted by the students of MBA and the Convocation ceremony was closed after taking the consent from Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group, Dr. R. P. Chadha and then procession moved back from Auditorium. At the end of Convocation Ceremony, photo shoot of all the awardees with all the dignitaries and faculties were taken. Convocation was followed by a delicious lunch. It was a wonderful experience for all the awardees and they were highly motivated and thankful to the institute for organizing such a memorable event.

First Convocation Ceremony Held for MCA & MBA Students at I.T.S, GhaziabadApril 10, 2016

All PGDM (2015-17) Batch students went to UAE for a weeklong tour to UAE and visited 3 places, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah for both industrial and educational exposure. They were accompanied by 4 male and female faculty members. This industrial cum educational trip included visit of the students to 2 major industrial units in UAE- 1 CONMIX Ltd., Jebel Ali, a German company in UAE and Mark Ships Maintenance LLC, Sharjah. Students also undertook a tour of their factories as well as interacted with the plant heads and supervisors. They discussed about their business model and key success factors which have helped these companies beat the competition. Students also discussed about the career possibilities in UAE and the procedure to join companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

During other days students enjoyed the evening private dinner at the famous Dubai Dhow Cruise followed by a cultural show specially arranged for the students. Students also undertook some adventure activities which included – Desert Safari, Desert Biking, and Camel Safari etc. The students were mesmerized to experience the desert cultural show at the desert camp near Dubai. The Students also underwent a guided tour of Dubai city, Abu Dhabi and nearby areas including Atlantis hotel, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Zumeira Beach, Al Mamzar Beach, King's Palace, Safari World in Abu Dhabi and several other important landmarks of UAE. Students had memorable time doing shopping at Deira Shopping Centre, Meena Bazaar, Lulu Hypermarket, Dates wholesale market in Abu Dhabi and many other shopping places in UAE.

Students came back with once in lifetime memories and loads of pictures to share with friends and families. Prof. Kapil Mohan Garg, Prof. Abhinav P.Tripathi, Dr. Vijesh Jain and Ms. Anju Dhiman escorted and guided the large student group of 81 students during this week long tour.

ndOn 22 March, 2016, a half day faculty workshop on 'Business Research Methods and SPSS' was conducted for management faculty. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Consultant and faculty for business research methods. Objective of the workshop was to discuss and understand the application of SPSS in various business research applications. Eleven management faculty members participated in the workshop and felt greatly benefitted and enlightened.

Management Department of I.T.S, Ghaziabad conducts CSR activities under two banners – Parivartan Club and Utthab Lab. Both the activities are conducted by the student volunteers under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Gopal Krishna Dwivedi. 'Parivartan' is a Slum Education Programme under which PGDM and MBA student volunteers visit the slums every Sunday and teach the slum-children through games, activities, teaching and training. 'Utthan Lab' facilitates poor meritorious children studying in various small schools. These poor students are brought to the campus of I.T.S. and are taught and trained for Computer, English, Maths, GK and other fundamental essential knowledge twice in a month. At the end of each Parivartan activity, distribution of biscuits and chocolates among all the children is a routine. Besides, Parivartan and Utthan, I.T.S. conducts some other CSR activities also like Awareness Campaigns, Blood Donation Camps, Medical Checkup and Treatment Camps and Plantation Drives. The Institute has also runs a residential school 'Yashoda Vatika' for the underprivileged girl child.
