Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is hosting the American Cornhole League’s national Championship of Bags Tournament on July 21-24, 2016 in the Events Center. The Championship of Bags (or COBS) features significant prizes including; $25,000 Singles Championship, $12,500 Doubles Championship and a $12,500 Crew Cup.

Other tournaments include Women Singles, Seniors (Singles and Doubles), Blind Draw and Skill Level Groups. Participants must be 21years or older to participate in the games.

Guests can visit iplaycornhole.com or Caesars.com for more information.

In light of our continuing parking situation and anticipation of high business volumes during the coming 4th of July holiday time period, we must ask that salaried personnel not already committed to direct front of house customer service functions again assist with driving employee shuttle vans. This is a significant benefit and convenience to our employees, to further expedite their travel to and from work. This plan is also critical to free up our Transportation team members to directly provide the best possible valet services for our guests. With a schedule spanning the clock from Thursday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 5,

coverage for numerous driver time slots is needed. Drivers need only to be salaried employees and certified to drive property vehicles. If not already certified to drive, employees should submit a copy of their driver’s license to Sharon Maney in Risk Management by Monday, June 27, and plan to attend the next driver certification class on Thursday, June 30 at 9am in the New Hire classroom. When it comes to service, we all play a part! Your assistance with this function will contribute greatly to assuring that our guests receive truly great resort-level service during their visit to Harrah’s Cherokee this weekend.
